8/8/23 - Two Rainbow Chip clones arrived today - transplanted into 1 gallon fabric pots - sitting 20" below my 300W light set to a little over 25%. PPFD about 250-300. Fed full dose of recharge and plain pH'd 6.6 water. Hoping they perk up within the next 48 hours. 8/11/23 - Both perked up as expected. Topped pretty low since they were so lanky, supercropped (first attempt anyway) the new main to try and get a symmetrical canopy. Was going to bend and LST but I want the new mainline portion to get a bit bigger before I start to bend them down. Both plants given 6.5 pH'd plain water since the soil was dry. They are thirsty. Left my lights at the same height but I added about 10% to my power level bringing me around 35% to keep the PPFD reading in the 280 range. 8/14/23 - Bouncing back nicely after an aggressive topping. Starting to see 'Y' shape as I try to mainline both plants for a semi-even canopy. Watered with 6.4 pH'd water mixing in 3ml of CalMag Plus + 1/2 tsp Recharge. Tomorrow they will be 1 week old in their 1 gallon pots.

8.16.23 - 1 week old, recovering well from the topping. Waiting for a bit more growth on the two new top nodes before LSTing them down for a proper Main-line. Should be ready for watering tomorrow or Friday. 8.18.23 - Accidentally snapped a branch on the left clone doing some manual LST. Taped it up and it recovered after only 24 hours, leaving the tape on until it comes off naturally. Watered plants this morning @ 6.4pH + 1/2 tsp of Recharge. New nodes starting to grow nice, wondering if I should top the two mains again. 8.21.23 - Knuckle forming nicely where I accidentally broke the stem. Will let that knuckle heal some more before LSTing the branch to not cause more stress. Both plants topped once on both new nodes, going from two mains to four. I plan on topping the four mains one more time to get to eight and will likely stop there. Both plants watered with 6.3pH water + 1/2 TSP of RECHARGE + 3 ml of CalMag Plus. They bounce back great from all this stress so I am thinking they can handle a bit of leave stripping from the bottom sites also. Gonna let the four mains grow for at least a week or so before topping agian.

Look at my last video and tell me if you would top the new mains again above the (4) new nodes or if I should wait and LST the entire branches downwards to let the new nodes come up. Ultimately I want to attempt a main line so I am thinking of topping them again.

If you want to mainline you need to top them aorund the 3 or 4th note and let them grow out. then top both of them again equally on each side while keeping the new growth pinned down to the ground via LST. Other things to note is stripping out the extra growth between your first node you topped to the medium and the next 4-6 node after that first node so they have some distance between the two apex growth sites. Think of it like a highway to two different cities, they need room to expand and turn into the metropolitan bud sites they can be. If they are two close they clash and space becomes to tight. The whole purpose is to create two main paints off of one root system. If one side of the plant is large or has more apex growth sites it will be larger in the end and may take away from the other side. they need to maintain the same height for the first bit as growth hormones in plant go to the tallest bits. In my blue cindy diary I did something like mainlining with a SCROG and it turned out really well. lots of topping and made a kick ass canopy. Not 100% mainlining but close. Good Luck!

8.22.23 - Bent over the plants pretty aggressively, waiting a week for them to grow and bounce back before doing anything more. 8.24.23 - Watered the girls at 6.5 pH + 1 TSP Recharge. Roots are starting to air prune and pop through the fabric pots. Top soil still has a bit of give so at the start of week four I'll probably transplant into their final 5 gallon fabric pots. Really trying to dial in my VPD, i've got it set to .80 - .90 throughout the entire day. backed off the lights just slightly in power since the leaves have some slight taco'ing. Lush dark green leaves getting huge - size of my entire hand. 8.27.23 - Transplanted into AC Infinity 5 Gallon Fabric pots. Adjusted light to about 250-300 PAR. Added about 1.5 TBSP DYNOMYCO to my roots during transplant. LST'd four mains for a flatter canopy and creating a nice mainline. Lightly watered with 6.4 pH + 3ml Cal-Mag Plus + 1/2 TSP recharge. 8.29.23 - Thinking about topping the four new mains to make the final 8 mainline that I am looking for in each plant. Then just gonna let them veg for a while and continue to LST. Might water today or tomorrow, starting to feel lighter.

8.29.23 - Thinking about topping the four new mains to make the final 8 mainline that I am looking for in each plant. Then just gonna let them veg for a while and continue to LST. Might water today or tomorrow, starting to feel lighter. 8.30.23 - Topping all four mains to create eight in total. This will be the last topping, from here on out - I'll just be using LST and HST (supercropping if needed) for any taller mains. Watered both (1 gallon each) pH'd 6.5 water (6.7 after adding RECHARGE) + 1 TSP RECHARGE. Gonna let them grow for a few more weeks to let them bush out and get taller now. Did some light supercropping and twisting and bending of the new mains. 9.3.23 - Whoops, broke another stem on RC1, taped it together and used some garden wire as a brace. Should heal up but if not - not a huge loss. Watered at 6.15 pH + 3ml Cal-Mag Plus + 1 TSP recharge.

9.6.23 - I think all HST / Mainlining is technically completed. I have the generic shape I wanted. It's not perfect (thanks Asymmetric clones) but for a first attempt I am happy with it. That stem ended up wilting away on RC1 so that plant will have 7 mains instead of 8. Watered both plants @ 6.35 pH + 1 TSP Recharge. Will continue to LST while plants grow to get more coverage in the tent before setting up my ScrOG netting 9.10.23 - Watered using new sprayer. pH'd 6.4 + 1 TSP / Gal RECHARGE + 3ml/Gal Ca-Mag Plus. Constantly pushing the mains down to form a wider canopy. Cut off some bigger leaves blocking the new growths. Planning on letting them continue to fill up some space before Scrogging and flipping.

9.12.23 - ScrOG net installed for LST purposes. Will water tomorrow or Thursday depending on how light the pots feel. Should be between 4-7 more weeks of veg to get the coverage I am looking for. 9.14.23 - Watered both plants at 6.4 pH + 1 TSP Recharge. Continuing to LST with the netting. Letting lower growths grow out to bush up nicely. 9.17.23 - Watered both plants at NIGHT (7:00pm) at 6.15 pH + 1 TSP RECHARGE + 3ml Cal-Mag Plus. These clones are bushing out WAY Faster than I expected. Probably going to have to flip in 2 weeks for space..

9.19.23 - Plants have grown like crazy in just one week with no major stressors. Nice to see such lush and healthy green take over the tent. Probably going to have to flip sooner than expected but either way I am in no rush :) 9.20.23 - Noticed a lot of leaves covering the smaller branches so I did a pretty light defoliation to allow more light penetration. Watered both plants in a hurry at 6.3 pH + 1.5 TSP Recharge. 9,23,23 - Both plants are super thirsty. Debating between transplanting into bigger pots / adding more fox farm soil on top before flipping. Absolutely going to have to flip sooner than expected with the way these girls grow. I am also officially married. Wedding was 10/10.

9.26.23 - Filled each 5 gallon fabric pot up with my soil mix (FFOF + extra perlite). Watered both plants (1 gallon each) with 6.35 pH water + 1 TSP Recharge. Did a light defoliation to allow light to the middle branches. I am going to have to flip some time soon, I am aiming to flip my lights soon. 9.28.23 - Probably going to water tomorrow, really trying to stretch the days between waterings to have the roots reach and look for the water. Should be the last watering before flipping to flower over the weekend at some point. Still in no real rush for the flowers but I am concerned with space at this point. Looking forward to the smells :) Did some light LST with my clips and some lollipopping / defoliation under the "hood" of the plants. 9.29.23 - Watered both plants with 1 gallon 6.45pH + 1 TSP Recharge + 3ml Cal-Mag Plus. Day 1 of flower will be Sunday. Healthy looking plants and I managed to fill up way more of my tent than I did my first grow (this is still only my second grow). I can't wait to see the flowers these beasts produce.

10.1.23 - Day 1 of flower, lights set to ON at 9am, OFF at 9pm. Going to spray my organic pesticide spray tonight right before lights out. Probably watering tomorrow or Tuesday, still seem to be decently moist in the soil. Will start to add Pure Blend Pro Bloom mix from Botanicare into my feedings now. I also upped the power level on my LED since we're going into flower. PPFD reading is about 400 peak for now. I plan on slowly increasing this and measuring as the plants stretch as well. 9:28pm UPDATE: I did some light LST using clips to RC2 because of the height difference. I sprayed both plants evenly with the Earth's Ally 3-in-1 Plant Spray for Organic Gardening just before lights off. Humidity seems stable right at 60 for now, VPD at a solid 1.00 - 1.10 10.2.23 - Day 2 of flower, watered both plants with 6.5 pH + 2.5 ml Cal-Mag Plus + 5 ml Pro Bloom + .5 TSP recharge. Confirmed lights turn on at 9am and off at 9pm. Feed is about 900 ppm for now. Will slowly raise this as needed. 10.5.23 - Will water tomorrow, the pots still have a bit of weight / moisture to them. I did a pretty heavy defoliation + lollipopping some more now that they are stretching nicely. Going to be adding another trellis netting layer on top to support the stretch + weight tomorrow as well. 10.6.23 - Watered at 6.5pH + 3ml CalMag + 7.5ml Bloom + .5 tsp Recharge. Plants have stretched a lot already in just six days so I added another trellis. almost completed with week 1 of flower and going strong :)

10.8.23 - Week 1 completed, week 2 started. Will water tomorrow. both plants looking incredibly healthy. No toxicities or deficiencies to speak of (yet). no bugs or mites (yet). The stretch is impressive thus far, I yoinked off some extra smaller nodes that were way under the canopy too. 10.9.23 - Watered pH 6.3 + 3ml CalMag + 8ml Bloom + 1/2 TSP Recharge. 1 gallon watering each gets just a touch of runoff. plants are still very happy and praying towards the light. These genetics are no joke. 10.12.23 - Watered pH 6.3 + 3 ml CalMag + 10ml Bloom + 1 TSP Recharge. Both plants looking extremely healthy and are still stretching rapidly. Adjusted lights to 72% and peak 900 PAR. Light defoliation / pruning of lower branches. Waiting for 21 for last defoliation.

10.15.23 - Both plants watered with 6.4 pH + 3ml CalMag + 10ml Bloom + 0.5 TSP RECHARGE. I'll be going up to 15ml/bloom from now on. I did a pretty aggressive "final" defoliation and pruning of lower bud sights. Plants are still very green and happy. :) 10.17.23 - Girls are getting thirsty. Soil was nearly bone dry - gonna have to start watering more frequently. Watered today @ 6.4pH + 3ml CalMag + 15ml Bloom + 0.75 TSP Recharge. Did some additional pruning and the leaves are still very green and praying 10.19.23 - Both watered with 6.3pH + 3ml CalMag + 15ml Bloom. No recharge this feed, in a time crunch. Officially done defoliating / pruning. Time to just feed and let them go from now on :) Day 19 flower 10.21.23 - Both watered with 6.35pH + 3ml CalMag + 15ml Bloom + 1 TSP RECHARGE. The early developing trichomes are already over the fan leaves and are wildly sticky. The new smells are incredible and can't wait for them to get stronger over the next few weeks 10.21.23 - UPDATE: I took my 'end of week 3' photos and noticed that a lot of the leaves are showing early signs of overfeeding of P/K or both. Will be carefully measuring input/output from here on to ensure a slight lowering of soil EC.

10.22.23 - Start of week 4 - Watering again tomorrow, will be lowering the EC of my feed since we're seeing early signs of nutrient burn. 10.23.23 - Week 4 day 23 - Both plants watered with 2ml CalMag + 10ml Bloom (940 total) + 1 TSP RECHARGE = 1.2ppm (1200) @ 6.5pH 10.25.23 - Soil feels dry like normal after 48 hours, I am going to let them go one extra day before their next watering. The smells are starting to get funky :) 10.26.23 - Watered this morning 6.5-6.6 pH - 2ml CalMag + 10ml Bloom, no recharge. Wow these early trichomes are crazy sticky.

10.28.23 - both plants fed 6.35 pH with 2ml/g CalMag + 10ml/g Bloom. + 1 TSP/g recharge. 950-1200 PPM. buds are stacking very nicely and are just now starting to put on some weight in the flowers instead of growing as a plant. 10.29.23 - Both plants putting on some weight now and getting seriously frosty. 10.30.23 - Noticing that the foliage is getting pretty dark rather than fading - still seeing burnt tips so I am going to back off of CalMag entirely since that's got higher N, and lower my bloom some more. Both watered with 6.4pH 8ml/gal Bloom + 0.5 tsp RECHARGE. 11.1.23 - Both plants flushed with about 4 gallons of .6 EC with just 5ml/g bloom. Input was .6 EC, runoff output is around .9 - 1.2 EC. runoff pH was 6.4, which is usually what I feed at before adding recharge, so that adds up. Going to start watering daily about a gallon or so each and will try to bump up the EC value since we're getting later into flower. 11.2.23 - Both plants fed at 6.4 pH + 2.1 EC - new pH pen reads straight EC values so no more conversions required. RC#1 runoff: 6.3 pH @ 2.8 EC, so still a bit hot. Will work on lowering. RC#2 is spot on, runoff 6.5 pH @ 2.1 EC. (feed: 1/4 Campden Tablet + 17ml/1gal Bloom + 1 tsp Recharge) 11.3.23 - Fed both plants, RC#1 input: 7ml bloom = 6.5 pH - 0.9 EC - Output: 6.6 pH - 2.2 - 2.3 EC - RC#2 input: 20ml bloom = 6.5 pH - 1.8 EC - Output: 6.4 pH - 2.2 EC. Runoff is very even for both plants, I will try to keep them both right at this level for the remaining few weeks.

11.5.23 - Week 5 finished, start of week 6. Both plants fed 1 gallon of 6.4 pH'd water @ 1.8 EC + 1/2 TSP Recharge. I believe the burn / deficiencies should stop now that the levels are even across the board - Getting excited for harvest but not looking to rush anything, these plants look like they've got a while still before finishing. 11.6.23 - Both plants fed 1 gallon of 6.4 pH'd water @ 1.9 EC. Updated some pictures. Starting to see some pistils turn brown along with some purple shades in the buds themselves. 11.8.23 - Both plants fed 1.5 gallon of 6.8 pH'd water + 0.5 TSP Recharge. Still noticing burnt tips so another plain water feeding should help. 11.10.23 - Both plants fed 1.5 gallons of 6.4 pH'd water @ 1.6 EC + 0.75 TSP Recharge. Runoff measuring at 6.5 pH @ 2.0 EC on both plants. 11.11.23 - Both plants fed 1.5 gallons of 6.5 pH'd water @ 1.7 EC + .5 TSP Recharge. 11.12.23 - Both plants given heavy dose of Bloom @ 6.4 pH - 2.0 EC. Trying to keep both plants right at 2.0 EC until harvest time. Day 43 Flower - Day 1 of Week 7. Lights turned up to 80% now. 11.14.23 - Both plants fed 6.4 pH @ 2.1 EC. Runoff EC is a bit high hitting close to 3.0, gonna have to lower that over next few waterings but the plants look great. Did one more hard defoliation to open up lower bud sites to the LED as well as get better air flow. I also turned up the light a bit and lowered the humidity to a solid 50%. 11.15.23 - Both plants fed 6.7 pH @ 1.1 EC. Runoff EC is 1.9 on RC#1, and RC#2 is 1.7. I'll keep input watering EC Closer to 1.3. 11.16.23 - Both plants fed 6.6 pH @ 1.3 EC. Runoff EC is 2.0 and 2.1. Buds are packing on some serious weight. 11.17.23 - Both plants fed 6.6 pH @ 1.3 EC. Runoff EC is 2.9 and 3.0 - I think I'll be alternating between plain pH'd water feedings & nutrient heavy feedings to keep the EC at 2.0. Not sure how or why it keeps spiking. 11.18.23 - Both plants fed 6.7 pH @ .65 EC. Runoff EC for RC#1 is 1.5, should be good to water with a low EC of nutes tomorrow. Runoff EC for RC#2 is still 2.2. This means it will get one more plain water feeding tomorrow and I hope that means they'll be back on track. We've got about two more weeks until chop :)

11.19.23 - I fed the plants pretty late yesterday so the soil at 11am today is still pretty damp. Will wait for tomorrow to another watering. Runoff was 1.7 and 2.2 somehow, once more plain water feeding tomorrow. 11.22.23 - Both plants fed 6.7 pH plain water. Runoff was 0.95 and 0.65 today. Will feed close to 1.0 EC tomorrow and check runoff again. Estimated 10 days until chop 11.23.23 - Happy Thanksgiving. Both plants fed 6.7 pH @ 1.0 EC. Runoff was 1.3 and 1.9 today. Not sure how they're so far apart anymore but another plain water feeding is in order tomorrow / Saturday since I watered at 6pm Thursday. 11.25.23 - yesterday they were still plenty moist since I fed so late in the day on Thursday. Both plants fed 1.5 Gal 6.6 pH @ 0.80 EC. Runoff was 1.1 and 1.3. Trying to keep both plants right at this range until harvest in about a weeks time.

Week 9 11.26.23 - Both plants fed 1 gallon of pH'd water + 4 ml Bloom. Runoff is 1.4 EC and 1.1 EC. Plants are showing off some nice purple coloring. 11.27.23 - Both plants fed 1 gallon of pH'd water + 3 - 4 ml Bloom. Runoff is 1.4 EC and 0.85 EC. 11.28.23 - Both plants fed 1 gallon of pH'd water + 3 - 4 ml Bloom. No runoff measurement today. Top leaves are fading really nicely. Buds are fattening up well. 11.29.23 - Light feeding. Runoff ECs 1.0 and 1.2. Got a buddy coming over this weekend to take some really details macro shots. 12.1.23 - Fed both plants 1.25 gallons of pH'd water + 5 - 6 ml Bloom. Runoff is 1.2 and 1.6 EC. Gonna take some zoomed in images of the trichomes later today to evaluate how much longer to leave the plants before harvesting :) 12.2.23 - light feeding today of pH'd water + 5 ml Bloom. No runoff measurements, but some pics should be taken tomorrow. Tiches look almost ready, prob let them ripen for a few more days before cutting them down.

12.3.23 - Day 1 of week 10. Plants are ready to be harvested, seeing a nice amount of cloudy trichomes. Will be waiting at least a few more days to fully ripen. Watering today with 1 gallon each pH'd water, run off is 1.1 EC for both plants. 12.4.23 - Day 2 of week 10. Fed with 1 gallon of pH'd water. no measurements taken at this point since I'll be harvesting any day now. 12.5.23 - Current plan is to chop the girls down tomorrow (Wednesday) and hang them whole. Might strip off some fan leaves, otherwise I'll let them dry as close to 60/60 as I can. Humidity should be easy to manage, hard to get it to 60 F without a AC unit or something. 12.6.23 - Plants chopped. Drying for as close to 14 days as possible. 12.7.23 - Environment is dialed in between 55-60 RH @ 65 - 68 F. 12.8.23 - Plants looking great, no issues 2 days into drying.

12.13.23 - Today is day 7 of drying. The smallest stems are about ready so I trimmed up those buds for a total of 31 grams of smalls. The rest of the plants will be harvested over and trimmed over the next several days as they continue to dry out. 12.14.23 - Trimmed 26 more grams of smaller outer stem buds. just over 2 oz so far with a LOT more to trim.

Week 19. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

Extremely successful second harvest for me. These clones Rainbow Chip clones from Zepilot grow with extreme vigor and can handle a ton of stress with quick bounce back. Flowering was a complete breeze and the yield was massive using a 300W light I got 308 grams of beautiful top-shelf buds. Couldn't be happier with this harvest, will be running more genetics from Zepilot.

Loved documenting via this site every week, heck sometimes every day. I'll be missing growing, until next season! :) Very happy with my results this run, i've learned so so much from my first run and based on my results I think I can safely say I've had a real success.
