Always wanted to grow this strain for its Sativa genetics. Started germination with the paper towel method with 3% H202. Germinated in darkened propagation tray with temp at 23C, 99% humidity. Took 4 days to break soil when transplanted to airpot in BioBizz lite. Now in the propagation tent under 50w LED until ready for the 600w grow tent.

Some new growth late in wk2, she has got a few more leaves so good progress, just feeding her 'root juice' for now until she establishes herself a little more, will be cloning this plant hopefully to get a few more ladies off her. Now under 600w LED in veg mode. Lighting cycle 18/6.
6/10 Update: Slightly pale leaves so appears she is ready for her first N feed, gave her a lite application of Biobizz Grow, silica, drop of superthrive and maxicrop.
She has out grown the 1ltr airpot.
15/10 potted up into 20ltr fabric pot.
Soil Mix: 15ltrs BioBizz All Mix + 2 ltrs Black Magic + 2ltrs BioBizz Lite.
Inc 10g Humic Acid + 10g Mycorrhizal Fungi + 10g Bat Guano
Watered in with 1.75ltrs filtered water pH 6.8 with a drop of Superthrive to combat transplant shock.
16/10 Inc Co2 bag,
She is vegging well under the 600w, will be topping and training her in the next day or so, i'll give her a water and let her settle in before stressing her too much with the lst.
23/10 Topped, it was hard to do on this lovely lady but she will get too tall for my tent so i had to do it. She seemed to recover well after the topping, so all good so far.
24/10 Sprayed her with Plant Magic Evolution last night, lights out folia spray. Usually once a week in veg.

Been a bit rough on her this week, defoliated and tied her down, took some cuttings from her to clone, she has grown long fast, the 20ltr fabric pots seem a bit narrow for her.
5/11 24 hrs after defoliation and lst she has recuperated and looks like she is ready for some more growth.
Getting close to switching her over to flower, she seems to be vegging well, fair few bud sites to watch develop, i also took some AG clones that are looking promising. The strain seems pretty hardy.
AG in the 2nd week of 12/12, just starting to flower. Alaskan Thunder Fuck is at the left back, the rest of the grow is Acapulco Gold and her clones. In my other veg tent are some more AG clones and a Girl Scout Cookie Auto, you can see pics of their development in my concurrent diaries.
Flowering pistils appearing, they are approx 100cm hight, increased the feed from .5 to 1ml per ltr every 3 days and give them fresh water in between if they need it. pH is 6.8 and the feed in 600ec.
1 Mother plant and 3 clones from the original mother they all grew well after some topping and training. Acapulco Gold was a pleasure to grow, it developed well throughout all the stages of growth a lot of trics appeared with solid dense buds that gave me a satifactory yield. The approximate dry weight was about 228 grams about 8oz from the mother, but i did take some preharvest so this is a ball park figure that is probably way off, i was a bit late in getting the full weight and some i harvested later so i lost track, apologies if your looking for an accurate final weight report.
@Tonino, Yeah even Chich & Chong liked it, its an old school 60's strain i think, not sure how close it is to its original genetics tho, but looking forward to toking it regardless, as C&C once said... "Acapulco Gold is... badass weed"
I'm growing the same, so I'd like to follow along. I was hoping for the narrow leaf phenotype, but I'm pretty sure my first seed is a broad leaf. I have 7 more to try after this one.
@CRiSPrGrow, Not me dude, i'm still at home in my crappy suburban ghetto, wish i was on a plane ) it's a tracking update on my new seed strain 'Alaskan Thunder Fuck', fingers crossed they get through customs asap. The idea of being on a plane with a smart automated garden and leisurely updating GD is pretty awesome tho. One day bro)
@MovingOn, hey Doc, it's Golden Virginia Tobacco, tobacco is really expensive here in the UK so i figured i would now grow my own, so i can roll a joint and smoke it ol' school style in a big spliff. Leaves have to turn yellow before harvest, they are coming into flower now but they can get very tall, it's why i have them in small pots to keep them stunted. I've also topped one as it hit the light.
@MovingOn, Good choice) as far as i can see imo they are the best quality LEDs around for the price, I've previously used HPS and CFLs but these out perform them all.
@MovingOn, hey Doc, yes spot on, i've got her under 600w LED in veg mode for now, she seems to like it. I had her under a Mars 300w but the lighting was poor, then a 400w HPS for a couple of days but the temperature rocketed to 32C, and i was struggling to get it down so i purchased another Viparspectra as they seem pretty good, trialed it out on the OG Kush and it went well and i can manage the temps a lot easier, around 22C without much trouble.
@MicrowGrow420, I'm a part time cannabis pimp. I love to play with breeding. I can always get bloodline from feminized seed but regular is more flexible. But Feminized is more productive if it's done right. So do I prefer regular seeds? Only for breeding purposes. It's a little more work to grow, but the males disappear early enough in the process. And I don't have to worry about Hermies. But for smoking pleasure of growing a single plant for smoking Variety nothing replaces growing an odd strain to break thing up a bit, Feminized is best for this.
@SativaKid, Interesting... I've always gone for feminised for reliability but i had a couple hermi on me recently, i believe they produce a smaller yeild too. Do you prefer regular seeds?
Looks good. Better than mine was at the end of week 2 as well. Mine was a little stunted out of the gate because it breached hard out of its jiffy pod. Those pods get so tight on the seeds and roots that I'm not going to use them on the next round.
@MovingOn, tx bro. Yes jiffys are a bit hit and miss i don't really trust them with seeds but i do use them to clone, usually so i know they have rooted as its easy to see a root pop out then you know its took well. This grow is going to be a long one me thinks)
OMG the penny has just dropped that it may be around new year we both harvest. going off 1 month+ for veg through OCTOBER, 10wks flower NOV DEC to JAN 2019 harvest time. geeez.
@MovingOn, tx Doc, yah space is tight, i have another smaller tent that i may have to fire up so i can make some space for the AG clones. She is getting quite a bush on her, although i do like a big bush 😬
@MovingOn, At a crossroads bro, not sure which way to progress with her, if i top her i have to do it now but she looks so lovely i'm enjoying her ephemeral natural beauty but i guess i'm going to have to go to town on her with some bondage.
