i got alittle impatient, and moved the seedlings to the forever home. the light on the seedling container was ok, but it was not enough. i moved them to the tent with the grow light. 400 w LED hanging at 20" running at 60%, 18/6 light schedule. 2 five gal pots with the above Nutes.

Just follow a wet dry cycle and in soil the first few weeks you just need to cycle watering. Nutrition comes Into play in 2-4 week range depending on how pre loaded the soil is.

question.... i added rocks to the top of the pots. Am i ok with th is? i want to keep the water from evaporating too much. my only concern is that it might harbor mold. question 2: how often should i move my llight up? its 400w @ 60% at 20" Should i move it all the way up?

Adding rocks to the top of pots to reduce water evaporation is a common practice and generally okay. However, you're correct that it can potentially create a moist environment that might harbor mold. To prevent this, make sure the rocks are clean and allow the soil surface to dry between waterings. Good ventilation and proper watering can help mitigate mold growth 400W light at 60% intensity should be okay at 20 inches, but it's essential to monitor your plants' response. If they start showing signs of stress like leaf burn or stretching towards the light, you may need to raise or lower the light accordingly. The goal is to maintain the optimal light intensity for your plants without causing any harm.
