The first week with the Apollo F1 was unusual. One seed did not germinate. A2 emerged with helmet head. I put a drop of water on the shell to soften it up. The next day the shell had fallen off but took a bite of the cotyledon leaf with it. Still hopeful for recovery and emergence of A3, I watered with 20 ml of ph water. Day 3-6 no emergence and A2 other cot leaf was getting smaller. Now only one Apollo F1 plant remains. I do not think growing only one F1 plant is a good representation of the genetic strength of the Royal Queen F1 hybrid strains. I told @James of @Royal Queen Seeds my situation and he very kindly offered to send more Apollo F1's. I will grow them at a future date when my energy fields settle down. I will update periodically but I should not have started a new diary at this time. In August, my federal hearing for benefits was postponed because my layer's father died. I recently received notification that the hearing is now scheduled in October. Meanwhile my cat had been sick and had several visits to the vets for lab tests. Tiger passed over the rainbow bridge on Monday. I caught my husband's cold by the time my CBG had cured for two weeks. So now I have been sick with sore throat and sinus congestion, and I still have not been able to do my smoke report on the goddesses due to my illness. I have home repairs scheduled as well. As I am nearing my birthday, the energy of this life year is ending and is presenting me with closure. I will post some updates periodically but really for the next few months, I need to slow down. Short and stocky. Already 2 nodes and 3 inches tall. Watering every other day, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 5ml TPS1/gal and 3 liters each time.

What a beautiful girl!. Strong stems, tight ruffled leaves with interesting coloration. Water every other day 5ml/gal TPS1. I lowered the light strength to 80%. With only 1 plant on the tent, the VPD has been as high as 228. I open the tent, add more humidity. With the vent on high the negative pressure is drying the air to 40%rh. Way too low. Week 5 10/ 1-7 10/1 water and feed 5ml/gTPS1 and .5tsp recharge. Ph to 6.5 10/3 water and feed TPS1 7.5 ml/g Vpd has been off the charts so I added friends to have more moisture in the tent. Early in this grow, I decided not to train Apollo and she what she does. Well looking at the top structure, she is squaring off rather than Christmas tree shape. So after much deliberation, I decided not to miss the opportunity to try more Lst. 10/4 photos and LST by pinning down bottom stems and defoliarion of small leafs on lower limbs. 10/5 photos. Apollo is coming along nicely and enjoying new friends, zkittles, gorilla cookies and granddaddy purple. All autos. Godzilla cookies is the runt. Apollos schedule : Water & feed Tues, Thurs, and Sunday. Increased TPS to early bloom at 9ml/g and Signal to 3ml/g. I think she could use more fertilizer but I'm gun shy on feeding too much. I noticed the new leafs are thinner than veg leaves indicating early flower. No pics on 10/12. My special day. 10/13 pics and video outside before first defoliation. And after defoliation. Note to reduce impact of stress, I ground up 1 of my B vitamins and dispersed in water after feeding on Friday 13th. Apollo is strong. Once I did definition you can really see her. 1)Very thick strong stem. 2) Very tight node structure. There was no space between the first and 2nd leaf group. 3) Side shoots almost as thick as the mail stem 4) roots at the soil top. I used MycoBliss in the soil and planting hole. Apollo is in early flower. I water and fertilize Tuesday, Thursday and water on Saturday or Sunday. Even though the plants started within 2 weeks of each other, Apollo is in flower now. The Vpd for veg is much higher than for flower. So on 10/17, I moved the Friends ( Zkittles, Godzilla Cookies and GrandDaddy Purple) to my 3x3. Apollo F1 is impressive, I defoliated in veg and week 2 of flower she was getting very bushy. See pics. At the beginning of the week she was drinking 2 liters, well by Wednesday she was drinking 3 liters. I'm holding off from watering more frequently than every other day to avoid any fungus issues. When trimming, I saw a few leafs that had yellow at the margin, so I've upped the nutes to general feeding vs auto flower dose. So 15 ml/gal general vs 9ml/gal auto. Seeing how strong and vigorous she is, I'm sure she can handle the extra feed. Trimming got my nails sticky and she is already fragrant. Apollo is really stacking on buds. They are thick and sticky. Aroma fills the tent and sweetly scents the air when I open the tent. I trained the stems with skewers and had to tighten the wires. I really should have done LST training on her much earlier. Originally, I was just going to see how she grew, but when I saw how close the stems were to the main stalk, I had to open up the canopy. The thick stems were already too hard to use training clips. I almost broke the first stem, so I stopped any further attempt. I took wire and tied it around the stem and tied the other end to BBQ skewers. Defoliation on some inner leaves to open the canopy some. Also gently bending the buds away from the stems on the buds near the top cola. Just brushing my hands across the leaves and buds, I come out all sticky. No complaints. I increased feed to 1 gal when watering. I water 2 liters let her absorb that and 30 minutes or so later i give her anothet 2 liters. The small amount of run off is absorbed by the following morning. Historically my plants have drank 2 liters and yielded 57 smokaeble grams. They say the amount of consumption is an indication of estimate yield. If my hypotheses holds true, Apollo should yield about 113 grams (4oz), twice what I've accomplished in the previous grows. Fingers crossed. Fragrance in the tent is Sweet citrus diesel smell. Gently pushing the stems down and out, my hands, arms, and fingers are sticky. RQS says harvest at 70-75 days from seed. I think within 2 weeks for harvest. Based on 9/14 pop soil, my calendar indicates it's gonna be around the 20th. So before Thanksgiving.

So close to harvest. This week and last I reduced the amount of TPS1 in the feed from 15ml /gal to 10ml/g. Early in the week, Apollo's lower leaves started showing the fade using up the nutrients. Thursday, I did a preliminary trim to remove any fan leaves and feeder leaves with longer stems. just handling the stems and buds my hands, nails and arms were sticky. After the trim, I put Apollo's Friends back in the tent with her. When the plants were in different veg/flower cycles, I separated them into tents. GDP and zkittles grew with in 2-3 inches on the light. I could not raise the lights anymore. Today, 11/19 is day Apollo's 69 day and 41 in flower. The harvest window per RQS is 70-75 days from seed. Tuesday will be the harvest day. After watering only 2 liters with Vit B, Recharge and Signal yesterday, I put her in the 3#x3tent in the dark. Apollo's buds are thick, dense, stinky citrus floral and sticky. The sugar leaves are showing color change as she knows her life is ending in glory. I am so proud of this grow. I didn't overfeed so I have experienced the color fade to yellow as foods are used up and the delicate colors emerge in the sugar leaves. I am very impressed with Royal Queen Seeds F1 genetics. So much so I bought Milky Way F1 and Medusa F1. I will definitely have another Apollo grow in January. Thank you @James at RQS. Apollo F1 had a huge base stem and was multi branching-even the side stems had side stems. The stems were sturdy. No support is needed for her branches She stayed short at 26 inches tall. I definitely pushed her on the watering. When I saw no runoff after 2.5 liters of water, I upped to 3 ltr. Then 3.5, then 1 gallon. I watered 2 liters, let the water absorb, then slowly add another 2 liters. There was a small amount of run off at the time of watering but was all gone by the next day. It could have been evaporation, but I really think it was consumption. Consumption is an indicator of yield. As densely bushy as she is, I'm estimating at least 90 grams. So for future grows, especially for very bushy plants, I will defoliate at least 2x during early and midflower to open up the canopy and let the plants bulk up more. She did show some nutrient (cal-mag) deficiency and for the next Apollo grow, I will push the feed a bit. I'm excited and a bit sad to see this grow come to an end at the same time. Harvest Week. I hope all my North American friends had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. I harvested on Tuesday, so due to Thanksgiving prep. I'm late posting the harvest report. Apollo is a wonderful plant to grow. She stayed short. I tried to lst by tying down. Apollo limbs pushed up the pins many times. She is strong and resilient. After watering only 2 liters with Vit B, Recharge and Signal yesterday, I put her in the 3#x3tent in the dark. The leaves were showing the fade using up the nutrients. 11/21 is day Apollo's 71 day and 43 in flower. The harvest window per RQS is 70-75 days from seed. Apollo's buds are thick, dense, stinky citrus floral and sticky. As she hangs to dry, she is pungent and stinky. I am so proud of this grow. After hanging to dry 13 days and a little bit more trim, Smokable bud 128 g or 4,5 oz. Wow this is my best harvest and grow ever. I put her in the jars to cure. Apollo F1 had a huge base stem and was multi branching-even the side stems had side stems. The stems were sturdy. No support is needed for her branches She stayed short at 26 inches tall. I definitely pushed her on the watering. When I saw no runoff after 2.5 liters of water, I upped to 3 ltr. Then 3.5, then 1 gallon. I watered 2 liters, let the water absorb, then slowly add another 2 liters. There was a small amount of run off at the time of watering but was all gone by the next day. It could have been evaporation, but I really think it was consumption. Consumption is an indicator of yield. As densely bushy as she is, I'm estimating at least 90 grams. So for future grows, especially for very bushy plants, I will defoliate at least 2x during early and midflower to open up the canopy and let the plants bulk up more. She did show some nutrient (cal-mag) deficiency and for the next Apollo grow, I will push the feed a bit. I'm excited and a bit sad to see this grow come to an end at the same time.
