Nearly three weeks ago, I received a message in my inbox from Plagron and Zamnesia offering the chance to sign up to receive a package of fertilizers and seeds for a contest. I immediately responded since the fertilizers were all I needed to have a complete setup, and I hadn't yet ordered my next batch of seeds. Unfortunately, only one strain of autoflowering plant was available among the options provided (I was lucky to receive this one), and I still didn't feel ready to start with photoperiodic plants (perhaps for the next grow if things go well with the fertilizers). Two weeks later, I received a message confirming that my application had been accepted, and a few days after that, I received the package. Package contents: 500 ml Alga Bloom (Plagron) 250 ml Green Sensation (Plagron) 250 ml Power Buds (Plagron) 250 ml Sugar Royal (Plagron) 5 Purple Haze Automatic seeds (Zamnesia Seeds) I'll do my best to aim for a decent harvest, hoping not to be too limited by my 10L pots and 110W LED lights. This time, I won't use 50% of Biobizz Light-Mix but rather only All-Mix for my soil. I'll simply remove a cup of soil from the center of the pots, which I'll replace with Light-Mix to avoid being too harsh on the young seedlings. I plan to follow the grow schedule provided in the package to the letter. Having not used any fertilizers at all during my first grow, I could clearly see that my poor plants were sorely lacking support, and I have no intention of mistreating another plant like that ever again! 29/09/2023 Just like with my first grow, I place the four seeds in paper towels, fold it, and moisten it with a spray. Then, I place half a bottle of water to retain as much moisture as possible around the seeds. I leave the plate in my closed growbox with the LED lights turned off and the humidifier turned on. 02/10/2023 The seeds are starting to germinate, they took a little longer than my first ones, which could be because I didn't moisten the paper enough on the first day. Well, I wanted to fill my pots with BioBizz All-Mix to the brim, but I didn't have enough. I had to add about 15% of Light-Mix to the mix. But once the pots were filled, I still didn't find it sufficient. So, I decided to add a layer of Light-Mix on top without mixing it into the pot. This way, I don't have to replace the middle of my pot with Light-Mix. I hope the layer of Light-Mix will be enough to protect the seed and the young seedlings from the fertilizers. After filling the pots with soil, I place them in the box with the humidifier in the middle. Next I make a hole in the middle of the pot about the size of a finger, half a phalanx deep. Then I gently place the seeds before covering them with soil, which I water them using a spray bottle that I left in the box to ensure the water is at the same temperature. Of course, I adjusted the water to a pH of 6, and I will only add the fertilizer next week (the third week of October). And finally, I cover it with half of a cut water bottle (I give it 1 or 2 sprays inside to increase the humidity). The light cycle will still be 20 hours on and 4 hours off. I find this method to be quite simple and effective, but I might add 1 or 2 more hours of darkness because I would like to have a 5-degree difference between day and night (as it seems to affect the appearance of the purple color) and be able to maintain it with the equipment I have on hand, let's see it as a ✨personal challenge✨ I should probably lower the power of the lamps a bit because they are closer to 25cm (and I can't raise them higher) than what is recommended, but I will wait for the seedlings to emerge from the soil before adjusting. I will mainly monitor the temperature in the tent in the coming days. I also have a small heater that I plan to run during the day next to my natural air intake (A grid that I cover halfway) outside the tent (since I don't have space inside) if the days are too cold and the LED lights aren't enough to maintain a constant temperature. 05/10/2023 The seedlings🌱 have emerged from the soil, so I remove the half-cut bottles. I only put them back when I humidify the tent and water the plants with my spray. My humidity is still too low (50%) despite my small humidifier, so I spray water on the tent walls and in the air as often as I can to try to increase it. I'll need to buy a better humidifier, but I'm wondering if just reducing the power of my air extractor with a dimmer might be sufficient. I can't wait to start feeding my babies and have them do some exercise,💪 hoping not to screw anything in the process. I think that will be enough comments for the week. 😅

09/12/2023 I was planning to start feeding them this week, but they still seem young. I'll wait a few days for them to develop their first sets of leaves. I'm having a hard time maintaining the humidity at the right level if I'm not there to increase it with my spray. I have about 50% humidity with just my current mini humidifier. That's why I ordered a larger humidifier and a dimmer switch (to lower the power of my air extractor). I took the opportunity to also order an oscillating fan, so I can leave the one I already have at a higher position and place the new rotating one at canopy level. I might update this week if I receive everything on time. Aside from this humidity issue, everything seems to be going well, especially with the temperature dropping quickly to 18 degrees in the evening. Perhaps with the new fan, I'll need to use the heater, it's starting to get cooler where I am.

16/10/2023 All week has been a bit of a disaster. My order was only shipped today (I should receive it in a few days), and the temperature has drastically dropped around here (although not to the point of turning on the house heating just for my plants). I'll need a heater that I can place inside the tent with a thermostat-controlled plug because, for now, it's quite challenging to maintain a constant temperature with my small heater placed outside the tent towards the air inlet. I'm afraid of overheating the plants because the temperature inside the tent rises very quickly. I can only leave it on for 15-minute intervals since I only have mechanical timers. So, I heat for 15 minutes per hour, which keeps it at around 20 degrees Celsius during the day and 17 degrees Celsius at night. I don't know why numbers 1 and 3 are more delayed than the others. It's probably due to a humidity and temperature issue, considering the problems I've had in trying to provide them with something suitable. I've swapped their positions for this week, and I should feed them Sugar Royal in a few days. I sincerely hope that numbers 1 and 3 aren't permanently ruined and that they can still thrive 19/10/2023 I finally received my package with a new humidifier, dimmer plugs, a proper thermohygrometer, and even an electronic pH tester, no more test strips! Thanks to the dimmer, I can reduce the power of my air extractor, which was really drying out my small box. After activating the 4L HighGarden humidifier (which I don't really recommend, the "purify/ionize" function doesn't work, and the remote control is truly useless; it doesn't work with the tent closed, and the buttons don't have the correct functions assigned if they do work), I had already reached 60% humidity in a few minutes, One hour later, I had reached 80% (but I'll leave it at 50% humidity in the Grow Condition if they recover, as that's likely the reason for their distress). I also activated the oscillating fan that I received in the package (yes, I spoiled myself a little, since I discovered this activity is a real source of joy for me). I reduced it to the lowest possible power using the other dimmer plug. I would have liked to turn it up a bit more, but the cable doesn't allow it (Trafika brand, the cable is only 1 meter, but it seems really sturdy, aside from this small flaw, I have nothing to complain about). I hope that this rough patch will be a thing of the past by next week, which seems to be on its way since I switched their positions and followed the community's recommendations (you're the best, thank you!💚). I also administered 0.5ML of Sugar Royal to numbers 2 and 4 (the ones in good shape), but not to the others. Thank you for taking a look at my journal. Please feel free to give your opinion or any advice if you notice any mistakes! 💚🌱🌞

I wrote like 5 paragraphs and it didn't post shew. Lol The twisting of leaves implies it's a VPD issue. Google a chart and try to get your RH% and Temp in the correct zone for their age. 70-75 degrees and 65-70% Humidity is what you need. If humidity is low you can place Pots with water in the tent. Also buy clear cups 'they will need to be large due to size of plants' Poke holes for air exchange at the bottom of cups. Don't mist the tops "bottom of cup" as water can pool, dropping down and burning the babies. Also wet towels can be hung to increase humidity. If it's to high air flow can be increased. Open all vents and add house fans sucking air in, or out. If Temps are to high, lower the power of light but lower the light closer to the plants so they still revieve the same ppfd. Opposite of that if it's to hot, lower power of light but then physically raise the light higher in the tent. This will increase the Temps. Humidity and Temps seem to be your problem. Once you get those dialed in. The plant will be able to breathe thus able to take in nutes. Goodluck. Please consider selecting me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate your support growmie 🙏 😃

24/10/2023 Things seem to be going rather well for numbers 1 and 3, they seem to have resumed a healthy growth cycle. So, I decided to also give them some Sugar Royal. However, things didn't go exactly as planned this week, as my new fan, which I probably didn't secure properly, fell onto the plant that seemed to be in better health (Number 2). The plant looks a bit bent, but nothing seems to have been severed or bent for too long, as I heard the fall. Luckily, I was near the tent at that moment, and of course, the fan, which seemed sturdy, no longer works after falling from about 70cm in height, Back to non-oscillating fans. 🤣 I plan to start LST next week, or maybe even this week, I'm waiting for them to grow a bit more. 28/10/2023 I started the LST, I think I did it not too bad. I'm checking every day to see if I don't need to tighten the things a bit and yes, I forgot to take a picture of all the plants after the LST.😒 29/102023 I redid the LST again, and this time I took four photos. 02/11/2023 The LST seems to be going very well, especially for #2. Some stems have already reached the size of the main cola, which allows me to pass them over some fan leaves. I continue to check every day and adjust or tighten the ties a bit when it seem necessary. I should be doing this soon for the secondary colas of #2. I hope they will all have this 'bushy' appearance. I have also reduced the humidity to 60%-65%. Thank you for taking a look at my journal. 07/11/2023 Everything seems to be going well, although number 2 is growing really fast compared to the others. I've started LST on some small branches, but not on all the plants as some don't seem to need it. I'm thinking of cutting some small branches that I don't think will be able to reach the canopy, but I don't want to stress the plants too much. I've started giving them Power Buds, and in 2 weeks, I'll add Alga Bloom. Thank you for taking a look at my journal. 16/11/2023 Everything seems to be going well 🌞 I've started giving them Alga Bloom, and I won't be doing LST anymore. I also replaced my humidifier with a dehumidifier to bring the humidity below 50%. They're taking up a lot of space, and I now understand the usefulness of a scrog. I might buy one this month, but I enjoy changing the position of my plants every week, and I don't think that would be possible with a net. Moreover, watering the plants would be complicated if I don't take them out of the box so I'm still undecided. I'm very eager to see the results because they seem unstoppable they just keep growing. 22/11/2023 Everything seems to be going well, except for number 4 which is a little delayed and just starting its flowering. I hope this won't cause me too much trouble, given that during my previous harvest I was a little bothered by a plant that was also delayed because I don't have any other places to dry it than my box. I got some troubles to upload all my pictures that's why I don't upload yesterday. Thank you for taking a look at my journal. 06/12/2023 I don't have much to say except for the purple colors of number 2, which seem to come more from over-nutrition than from the purple color itself. Number 4 always takes its time, and I don't know if it's worth waiting for it to eventually produce something, as I think the other three are almost ready.

13/12/2023 Everything is going very well, I continue to provide nutrients (probably for the last time for numbers 1, 2, and 3) and trim all the yellowing leaves. I will assess what to do with number 4 at the time of harvesting the first 3. If it enters a good flowering stage, I will dry the other 3 in a cardboard box in the same room as my box while number 4 finishes (this bothers me a bit because I would like to give them 48 hours of complete darkness before harvesting). They seem so big (to me) and beautiful, I couldn't resist taking more pictures. Thank you for taking a look at my journal. 23/12/2023 Not much to report, except for number 2, which has donned a beautiful purple gown, and number 4, who has always decided to take its sweet time. Apart from that, the fragrance is truly surprising, but not unpleasant at all. I suppose this is what people mean when they talk about a plant having a "gasy" smell and taste.😁 No fertilizer this week, the harvest for 1, 2, and 3 will be done next week for sure. I'm thinking of placing number 4 in my room the lamp with the heating while the other three dry in the box. Too bad for the optimal condition, I would just feel guilty not trying to let it live out its entire life.😅 Sorry for the lack of photos and the delay in updating the journal, I have a major issue with my phone (which I use to take all my photos). I hope to have resolved the problem by next week. Thank you for taking a look at my journal. Please feel free to give your opinion or any advice if you notice any mistakes ! 💚🌱🌞

I've had quite a few internet and phone issues lately, and I haven't had much time to dedicate to my plants. On top of that, I lost the few notes I had saved on my computer and the photos on my old phone. However, I managed to recover some of them, and from what I remember, I harvested around 40 grams. But at least now I have a very good phone for taking better photos or videos and for better organization (especially with the new version of the website). I hope you can be satisfied with the few photos I managed to take of what's left.
