"Hey hey!
Let's start with some exciting news, on the calendar it's day 91 of flowering.
Phenotype number 1 finally matured on day 84 of flowering, I safely harvested, dried, and collected seeds, totaling approximately 1800 (no, I didn't count them).
The goal was achieved, I gained a tremendous amount of experience, and now at least I have understanding.
Lastly, I need to conduct a germination test to be sure. I already put a handful of seeds in a shot glass, next week I'll update on how it goes.
Now, onto the not-so-great news, zelebob, aka number 3, refuses to give me its
Our fingers are crossed that you'll get both a boy and a girl out of the three seeds.ππ But if things don't go as planned, don't sweat it.π You can already find these seeds available for purchase, or we'll happily provide them to you as a bonus since you're a part of our Family grower community. We're here to support you every step of the way! π± Good luck with your grow, and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us anytime. Happy growing! πΏ
I want to offer you some advice: moving forward, while working with the F2, maintain two separate lines. Choose two mothers, pollinate them with different fathers, then work with them separately, avoiding accidental pollination. The duration of your work with them depends on your goals. You might simply reach the F3 stage, or perhaps you'll want to go further and even conduct a couple of backcrosses to solidify exactly what you like. This journey is yours.π
The key is, once you have two stable versions that you're happy with, cross them together, and you'll get an interlinear cross that will give you something akin to hybrid vigor. It's the best way to create your own strong strain and avoid inbred depression.π₯ππ½
Oh yeah π₯πΏ kicking along nicely here my friend! Well done super excited for you and this breeding project! Wishing you all the best with it, really well done so far, I will try this one day soon!
Bro, after harvesting, it's better to treat the seeds for infection, for example, with chlorhexidine, but do not soak them. After that, let them dry well and put them in the fridge for stratification for 1-2 months. Then you will be able to achieve high germination rates. The freezer is more suitable for long-term storage, and under no circumstances should you move the seeds from the freezer to warmth and back, as this will harm them. If you're not sure that your seeds and storage container are free of moisture residues, don't put them in the freezer, as it could damage them.
Could you please clarify what you mean by "refuses to give me its seeds"?( about zelebob)
@Doctors_Choice, Naturally I've had seeds over a decade old produce amazing plants with outstanding germination rates. The majority of my strains come from over decade old seed originally.
Bro.
@Doctors_Choice, On the Dzagi forum my large plant was dubbed "Zeleboba"
What I mean is that he doesnβt throw the seeds onto the floor, I use this method of determining that the seeds are ready
