Started all the photos and autos at the same time. I'm giving about a 10 week window for the autos to finish, during which I'll do a 10+ week veg with these photos before moving to the flowering tent. Set up the 2x4 veg tent just in time.
Can't wait to see how these strains turn out!
Well this didn't start out exactly as planned but more or less on track.
Originally planted 3 Old Growth OGs and 5 Stoopid Fruits photos. 0/3 Old Growths and 2/5 Stoopid Fruits sprouted from that round, but the two Fruits damped off like punk bitches
So I was given two Old Growth seedlings that were planted at the same time as my first round. I also just received five more Stoopid Fruit seeds that just got planted this morning. Expecting sprouts by Wednesday, making them 3 weeks behind the OGs. Still expecting to flip to flower by early January, giving the OGs 10 weeks from sprout to flip, while the Fruits will have 7 weeks from sprout to flip but I'll have more plants to fill out the canopy hopefully.
Transplanted the OGs into BAS 3.0 in 1gals today
Been three days since I planted the five Stoopid Fruits and so far zero sprouts. HSC, what the fuck? That's 2/13 seeds to sprout from this round of photos. And those two damped off. The two Old Growth OG seedlings I have I picked up at work.
No Stoopid Fruit sprouts. Very disappointed in HSC this round. The OGs are going well at least, topped the larger on day 24
Scrapped the notion of running HSC Stoopid Fruits after only 2/10 sprouted, and those two damped off.
The OGs also had terrible germination. 0/3 sprouted for me, and 2/10 in the nursery at work. I took those home and they're doing well.
Picked up two Trainwreck seedlings to fill in the space. Still planning to flip in the first week or Jan or so.
Been wrastlin some tiny spots of PM here and there. Using Purecrop and proper airflower to combat and seem to be winning the fight.
Day 54 from sprout- topping and supercropping these ladies like a MFer. First time really using HST methods over LST. Still on track for a week 10-11 flip to flower. Fighting PM in both tents though. Using purecrop daily and keeping humidity lower. Looking into Gardn Clean and/or a full nuke of the flower tent before I move these ladies in there.
Start of week 9, vegging well. Scheduled for 2 more weeks until supposed flip to 12/12 but might wait another week. Still fighting PM. Going to look into Gard'n Clean as a nuke substitute before I transplant these girls into their 100gallon swimming pool lmao
Veggin slowly but still more or less on track for an early March harvest. Gonna use Gardn Clean on my flower tent before I move them over, then continue to spray with Pure Crop daily for a week before the flower flip
Slow ass plants but the reward will be legit. Running my lights on about 25% and 60% power. The larger OG got too much light for awhile so she turned pale green and is now happier under far less light. Up potted into 2 and 3 gals. Starting to prep my 100 gallon soil bed for a transplant in about 2 weeks then flip to flower.
Start of week 12 of veg. Fuck these ladies are going slowly. Better be worth it.
Prepped the 100 gallon bed, used all my recycled soil and watered with a strong dose of microbes.
Large fluctuation in humidity has brought back the PM on the smaller OG especially, so spraying daily with Purecrop.
Sprouted the seedlings for the next run and wrestling with keeping the humidity at the proper level for both growing the seedlings and avoiding PM overgrowth. Running Gardn Clean xtended release in the 4x4 with the bed, I'll move that to the 2x4 room tomorrow to help fight PM before the transplant into the bed next week.
Going into the 13th week looking good. No PM for a few days, using Purecrop daily and running Gardn Clean in the room.
Watered today with Simpro microbes, Azos, and Ancient Earth. Also hit the 100gal bed with the same until runoff.
Will transplant halfway through this week into the 100gallon living soil bed.
Still fighting PM, daily spraying on every plant.
Transplanted into 100gallon bed of recycled soil, then topped with 2 cu. ft of True Earth and 1 cu.ft of New England Compost, then a layer of rice hulls as mulch. Watered in with microbes, azos, and ancient earth to promote faster rooting.
Trellis net engaged, spread out nicely. Not trying to fill out the tent entirely so this is good, have enough unknowns and recurring issues this run to worry about yield potential.
Seedlings have also moved into the flower tent for now for heating reasons.
They're loving the transition into the 100gal bed. Applying Purecrop daily. First day of week 14, switching to 12/12 tomorrow.
F3- Top dressed with 2 tsp appx per plant of COM fishbone meal and watered in
F4/5 - Accidentally left lights on overnight (FUCK) so they're in 24 hours of darkness today
F6 Going great. Starting to drop temps and lower humidity
F7 Watered 5 gallons over the course of the day, fed with 2 tblsp of Roots Organic Bloom, 2 tsp of Simpro Microbes, and a capful of Advanced Nutes Ancient Earth
F10 Stretching great but not shooting many pistols yet. My dumbass got drunk at home yesterday and left my lights on overnight like an idiot. Yes they're automated, yes I switched them manual to dim them and they stayed on all night. 24 hours of dark again...
F13- Watered again with 2 gallons of h2o. Plants are stretching nicely
F15- Looking good so far, buds starting to form a bit. Have a little bit of PM in the veg tent. So I'll be spraying this tent preemptively with Dr Zymes 1:64 ratio starting tomorrow.
F20- Feeding every other watering and trying to keep humidity down and temp up. Did a heavy defoliate yesterday and looking good- no issues with PM since last week after spraying once with Dr Zymes and correcting humidity. About to start adding more aux lights.
F24- Up to 300 watts of light now in the flower tent.
F30- Going well. Just installed a fourth circulating fan, two on top, two underneath. Had a couple spots of PM earlier this week, not planning to spray unless more appears. Hoping airflow and defol minimize any further issues. Will really dig in tomorrow when I have time.
F32- Shit is fucked but not really. Still battling PM. It's very minimal in occurance and for some reason only on the top leaves in general, with plenty of airflow and light. Will continue to defol and check the lower leaves. Sprayed with Dr Zymes again and still it came back a day later. Will spray the Doc again tomorrow.
-Another fuck, the stockier OG hermed hard. Plucked probably about 15-20 pollen sacks only on lower half of the plant. Not too worried about a bit of pollination, but just another stressor in life. Can't wait for that vacation to Santa Barbara after harvest.
F34- Still battling tiny bits of PM, and seeing the result of the 15+ banana sacks I plucked from the denser, prettier OG. Feeling confident I'll make it to the finish line but may have to continually defol and keep humidity as low as possible, at the cost of yield. Fed 6 days ago and will feed again soon. Watered minimally twice since, don't want to overwater in the 100 gallon. May hold off on feeding until 4 days from now.
F36- Lost power two nights ago for about 5 hours. Only had one spot of PM after that thankfully. Sprayed with Dr Zymes anyway. Fed the next day (F35) with appx 4 tblsp of Bloom Booster plus microbes. Bud structure is showing too much leaf growth and not enough bud growth, too much nitrogen in the soil most likely? Can't do a flush so I'm just planning to feed twice this week with the Booster, which has no nitrogen. Also adding more aux lighting every week. Up to 100 extra watts of 2.7k currently.
So much going on currently. PM came back, did another spray with Dr Zymes and defoliated quite heavily. Gonna be checking every day if possible and continually defoling at cost of yield probably.
Planning to feed every watering now, double strength with Bloom Booster. Helping to balance out the nitrogen and fatten the buds up. Also added 180 extra watts of light give or take for 420 watts total but those bulbs aren't efficient so probably closer to 360w. Fingers crossed I can make it to the finish line okay
F46- Lost power yesterday for a couple hours, motherfuckin PM came back a good bit. Spent 2 hours yesterday defoling and getting rid of tiny spots on the leaves, cut off a few buds. Will do more defol and spray with Dr Zymes again tomorrow morning. Done growing for quite awhile after this.. too much time and effort to have it all fucked by PM in the end.
F49. Two weeks to go. Hitting it hard with lights and late flower nutes now. Fighting the little bits of PM that come up here and there. Ready for this grow to be done and dried and for my bills and stress levels to go down.
F51. Fed again heavy with nutes today, things are looking very good. PM growth has slowed on the leaves but is now on the stems of the OG1 :( Might chop her early, or remove some middle and lower buds and spray the stems heavy with Dr Zymes eveyday to save the tops. Time will tell has things proceed.
Well we're getting there fam. Not so much PM anymore, winning the fight. Still a few spots here and there though. The colder nights these days aren't helping and I'm trying to not run my furnace as much right now. Day temps are 75-80 ish with humidity at 30-34% and night can be 62-66 with humidity between 36-42%. Trying to keep it warmer at night as I think that's the biggest factor for PM growth currently.
OG1 is def the OG Kush pheno that I want to finish so badly. She's had the PM on her stems so I'm checking closely every other day. She stinks so lemony and gassy and sticky factor is insane. Smallest plant of all it seems, and probably the latest finisher unfortunately.
OG2 has more Chemdawg influence, her smell is very floral, lacks the lemon gas terps, but bud structure is much more on point. Biggest plant of them all and could be done in a few days imo.
TW1 is the nicer of the two wrecks, her color is gorgeous and though the buds are small and fluffy, there's a lot of them, and frosty. Will probably save the TW's for hash.
TW2 is nice also, very frosty, but even smaller buds, paler colors.
May contemplate harvesting between weeks 8 and 9 if PM issues persist badly enough, otherwise I'd like to push everything until next week at least. The Trainwrecks look closer to done than the OG's in general but I'd like them to fatten up as much as possible.
Will feed tomorrow for probably the last time.
Well fuck. Despite parameters and airflow being on point, the PM spread rapidly since yesterday for some dumb reason. Forced me to chop today.
Every plant had PM, prob about 20% of all budsites were effected to some degree. Trimmed out a good amount of PM’d budsites and did a wet trim of most, if not all fan leaves.
Then a budwash, two buckets, first 1:10 3% hydrogen peroxide, then a rinse.
Hanging in 65f and 45% RH. Will check again in a few hours. Praying this shit dont spread too much but I’ve already chalked it up as a loss.
For sure my entire house has spores all over. Will probably bomb with Gardn Clean QR over the next few months before ever considering growing again.
Hopefully I get something from this shit. Going on 6 months of work on this grow
Was so excited for the OG to finish as I haven't had a good OG Kush in a long time. This had the right smell, trichome type, bud structure wasn't exact but who cares. Sadly she never finished and we both were unsatisfied. Ended up with 38 grams of the OG, which has the familiar gassy spicy lemon stank but it's very light. The high hits hard but not as hard as it should. Trichomes never quite turned milky and the stigmas never turned that dark brown rust color that OG has, which contrasts nicely against the bright lime green. We was almost there... Next time!
The Chemdawg was definitely closer to finishing, also a bigger plant, yielded 62 grams. A nice balanced high with a familiar but nonspecific chem funk smell. A friend enjoyed the Chem a TON so I was happy to gift a good bit to him.
The Trainwreck is fucking incredible. Much happier with this than the Old Growth OG even though it wasn't my first choice strain to grow. Sometimes its the classics that just do it fer ye.
