Dr_Rook This time it's about giving life to these Wedding Cake cuttings, in my opinion one of the best genetics out there. Today marks exactly a week since they arrived, and I put them in small pots, where they've been for 5 days until I moved them to the 1L pots that I will use this time to promote growth. The last two times I put them straight into the final pot, so let's see how it turns out this way. The climate has been easy to control because the conditions are ideal outside. I've made a few small mistakes, like transplanting them too early, I think, and also some issues with adjusting the humidifier since it's new and I still didn't have it under control. Overall, I'm happy with how they're evolving so far. Let's keep giving them love so they grow healthy and strong 💪

Dr_Rook This second week they have grown quite a bit in height, I only gave them a little bit of booster to try to keep them down. Yesterday Thursday the new LED arrived that I will be using from now on. I set it up, and I also took the opportunity to transplant them into their final 3L pots. I also removed a couple of nodes from the bottom. So far I'm happy with how they're developing, what worries me the most is their somewhat lanky structure. I'll switch them to 12/12 tonight. I was thinking of giving them a few more days to recover from the stress, but some are reaching 22 and I don't want them to get too tall for my space.

Dr_Rook Everything is going its course. The girls have received their first feeding with an EC of 1, and it seems like they liked it. This third time is the least they've stretched in the first week of flowering; they'll probably stretch more next week. I like the structure; they look strong. The temperature has been higher since I changed the lamp; being double the power, it also gives off more heat, which will be good when it gets colder. I still have it set to 80%, which is equivalent to 176w; starting from the third week, I’ll crank it up to full power. Next week, I'll probably give them their first flowering feeding and see how they continue to evolve 💪

Dr_Rook Second week of flowering completed. This is definitely going to be the time they stretch the least, there are some that might have stayed too small, I hope they grow a bit more in the next week. As for the food; I've already given them a more specific one for flowering. This week I also used enzymes to try to reset the substrate a bit so they can absorb nutrients better. In the coming days, I will do a second and final low pruning. I don't want to take too much since they aren't that tall, just what's necessary to be able to water more comfortably and to avoid having leaves close to the soil with the danger that entails. Starting today, I will use the 220W that the new lamp provides at maximum. I hope they start taking shape..

Dr_Rook This week everything is going as expected, the flowers are starting to invade my garden and I can already see the first layers of resin. I've done a second low pruning, filled in soil, and tied several of them to their stakes. Several days have been too cold after the lights went out, not good for them, but I managed to get a mini ceramic heater that is combating it very well. I hope the flower invasion in my garden continues next week!

Dr_Rook It's starting to take shape. A very pleasant aroma hits me in the face every time I open the cabinet. It's starting to resin up really well, although I feel like I can still improve a lot in this part of the flowering stage. I've had the climate under control without complications. These last few days, I've had to turn on the dehumidifier because there was a lot of humidity outside. I hope next week those flowers start to bulk up. Gotta keep taking care of them like they deserve 💪

Dr_Rook Well, the first half of the flowering is over. Now the good stuff begins. In this week and the last, they've been focused on forming new flowers, but without really gaining any volume. I hope they pick it up in the next two weeks, as it's a 9/10 week variety. I've detected a thrip infestation, if I'm not mistaken. I'm going to try to counter it with a biological pest control in packets that I'll put out. I'm going to add CO2 for the next two weeks, with one of those mini cardboard boxes that doses it little by little, let's see how it goes. In the next two weeks, I'll give them their highest peak of EC and then I'll start to lower it gradually. I'll also give the first extra potassium boost. I hope those buds start gaining volume and density in the next one. We're still in the fight 💪

Dr_Rook This week I've raised the temperature a bit since it's when they eat the most, aiming to speed up their metabolism. So far, I've been very reluctant to give them anything non-organic, but I've decided to give it a chance and I've done two waterings with extra Pk; I'm sure they'll appreciate it. Next week, I'll keep the climate the same and I'll provide the extra with potassium, aiming to gain in weight and flavor. I'll lower the EC a couple of points since this week I've hit their maximum. There's not much time left, and every day it smells and looks better. Counting down the days...

Dr_Rook This is coming to an end. With about two weeks left, my garden is turning autumn colors. The sweet lemon smell is very intense. I've lowered the EC a bit; this week I added extra potassium to gain weight and flavor as I mentioned. I'll give one last feeding at the beginning of next week before doing the corresponding root wash. Next week, I'll start to gradually reduce the light intensity, and I'll also lower the temperature, aiming for them to turn purple and resinous. Counting the days to try this delicacy...

Dr_Rook Facing the final stretch now. I estimate that in about a week and a few more days at most, I'll be cutting. At the beginning of the week, I gave them their last feeding with low EC, and in the middle of this week, I did the root wash, draining water with an already acceptable EC, so I predict it’s going to have a good flavor level. I’m making them go through quite a bit of cold, looking for an extra resin; they’re filling up with colors. I was a bit worried about the buds because they didn’t seem too tight, but this week they really have packed on a lot. I hope they finish tightening up like rocks this week. The countdown begins, tick tock, tick tock…

Dr_Rook This has come to an end, I could have left them for another week, but it turns out that what I thought was a thrip infestation ended up being spider mites. They spread very slowly because the conditions were unfavorable for them, but in the end, they ended up invading my garden. I couldn't watch them suffer anymore, so I decided to cut them down. Despite the infestation, the flowers look very good, and the citrus-sweet smell is intense, reminding me of gourmet foie gras. I predict they will have a great taste, already looking forward to tasting them.
