Germination Triumph: Seeds Burst to Life The tale of germination unfolds with a resounding success. In just 48 hours, all five seeds sprang to life, emerging from their cozy peat pellets, bursting forth with life and vigor. The promise of new growth was fulfilled. Yet, among the expectant peat pellets, there remained a quiet void. The Garlic Budder seeds from Humboldt Seed Company, nestled within their chambers, chose to remain dormant, denying us their green presence. This germination spectacle was orchestrated under meticulous conditions: Enveloped within a humidity dome Nurtured with the gentle warmth of a heat mat, lovingly insulated Cradled in the nurturing embrace of pH-adjusted spring water A vibrant beginning, a tale of triumph and challenges, as we continue to nurture the boundless potential of these sprouting seeds. 🌱🌿🌞

Week 2: A Battle with Nature In the thrilling saga of Week 2, Golden faced the wrath of Mother Nature herself. Unforeseen challenges descended upon the lush garden, orchestrated by the relentless high winds that swept through. The fierce gusts took the ladies by surprise, laying them flat, their delicate stems perilously snapped. Undaunted, Golden sprang into action, propping up the fallen beauties with popsicle sticks, devising an ingenious fence that would serve as both protection against the unforgiving elements and a foundation for their ascent. As the wind's fury raged on, the drama unfolded: #1, the most impacted, bore the brunt of Mother Nature, its stem weakened and is in need of a heroic recovery. #2, though struck hard, found solace in the steadfast garden sticks and will embark on a remarkable journey towards restoration. #3 emerged as the true champion, boasting impressive growth, albeit with a subtle hint of nutrient deficiency, igniting curiosity about her response to upcoming feedings. #4, the resilient survivor, endured both bug attacks and a heart-wrenching fall, raising concerns about the impact on her growth trajectory. #5 shone as the dark horse, displaying remarkable promise and a photogenic allure, poised to rival #3 in the race to greatness. In a bold move, Golden introduced Mycorrhizal Fungi into the mix, hoping to fuel accelerated growth in the weeks ahead. Neem oil continued to be the ladies' protective shield, ensuring their well-being in the face of adversity. This gripping tale of cultivation camaraderie beckons the green-thumbed community to join in the journey. As you've made it this far, don't forget to leave a like and share your thoughts. Together, we celebrate the indomitable spirit of growth and resilience! 🌱💪🌿

Week 3 (9 Nov/Day 20): The Crucible of Growth In this pivotal chapter, the ladies faced a formative stage, their resilience tested by the artful dance of recovery and challenges. While most flourished under the protective embrace of the fencing, Pineapple Chunk #1 bowed out gracefully, unable to rebound from the relentless snap that severed her stem. May she rest in the serenity of eternal growth. Blessed by favorable weather, with gentle winds and smooth sailing, I orchestrated the ladies' introduction to their inaugural feeding. The commitment to organic nourishment persisted, complemented by the infusion of mycorrhizae and activated carbon. Three out of the four ladies embarked on a grand journey, transitioning to their final pots. The individual sagas unfolded: #1, confirmed to have bid farewell, leaves behind a legacy of unrecoverable wind-induced stem snap. Rest in peace, dear companion. #2, a phoenix rising from the previous week's challenges, showcased thicker stems and received a pH 6.7 watering. The anticipation builds for the transformative impact of mycorrhizae on her splendid growth. #3, despite a brief encounter with a curious bug, strides forward, promising growth in the weeks to come. #4, the protagonist of an intriguing narrative, recovers from a bug assault, revealing the emergence of two main stems – an unintended gift from nature's pruning. Patiently, she remains in her original pot, allowing her roots to weave a tale of resilience and rejuvenation. #5, with gradual progress, emanates health and vitality, a canvas awaiting the strokes of time's artistic brush. Each pot, a sanctuary of growth, cradles a bountiful 100L of soil mix, enriched at a ratio of 1G per liter. As we navigate this botanical symphony, the golden sun of optimism shines upon the journey of these green wonders. Happy growing, Golden 🌞

Week 4: Unveiling the Growth Chronicles Embarking on this week's enthralling saga, Golden witnessed a myriad of unfolding events: a dance of nutrient uptake, the artistry of low and high-stress training, daring topping endeavors, and a daring relocation with a hint of sunlight-induced concern. After the Green House Bio Powder Feeding feast last week, the ladies now flaunt dark, luscious green hues, casting aside any remnants of nitrogen deficiency. A consistent pH of 6/6.2 became the new watering standard, ensuring the ladies thrive in harmony. In their upgraded 100L/25 Gallon pots, all the ladies gracefully settled, with Pineapple Chunk #4 staging a triumphant comeback. #2, reaching for the sky, faced the skilled hands of Golden employing not only LST but also an audacious HST with a 90° stem bend. With flowering on the horizon, topping rituals commenced, mirroring the path of #2. #3, once the towering lady, now stands equal after the orchestrated symphony of LST, HST, and topping. Despite a skirmish with bugs, a concentrated neem oil solution beneath her leaves signals Golden's unwavering commitment to her recovery. #4, akin to a dark phoenix rising, defied all odds, sporting deformed leaves and an unequal bifurcation after an early topping. The anticipation builds as Golden envisions a future of intriguing topping results. Could she emerge as the heavyweight yielder? #5, the stalwart companion, maintained steady growth through the week, gracefully undergoing LST, HST, and topping, a testament to Golden's nurturing touch. The ladies' relocation around the holiday season, though unfortunate, is a temporary setback, with hopes high for their return to the embrace of direct sunlight as the flowering spectacle unfolds. For those who've journeyed this far, ensure you follow our growth diary, and drop a comment or like to stay tuned for the weekly unveilings. 🌿📖✨

Week 5: A Flourishing Tale In the riveting chronicle of Week 5, spanning from October 27 to November 24, our journey unfolds with a crescendo of growth and triumph. Golden, the sage guide of this verdant adventure, reveals that the ladies have not only doubled in size but have also seen a remarkable surge in the strength of their stems. The garden, nurtured by the symbiotic dance of mycorrhizal fungi and organic feeding, stood resilient against the elements. A strategic layer of oat hay, a shield against the impending heat wave, served as both mulch and guardian of water retention, while the echoes of a bug attack from weeks past faded into the background. The regular neem oil spraying resumed, a vigilant measure to ward off any lingering pests. Now, let's dive into the individual sagas: #2, with three main shoots branching from last week's fiming, stands tall, but even her increased stem and height pale in comparison to the golden child, #3. #3, the true protagonist of this narrative, has undergone an awe-inspiring transformation. Responding gracefully to training, she has doubled in height and stem strength within the week, a testament to the remarkable benefits of the fungal network and previous weeks' nourishment. However, her move to a shaded area led to a dramatic stretch, unveiling the dynamic interplay between environmental factors and her vigorous growth. #4's tale leaves Golden momentarily speechless. A self-topping mishap resulted in one main stem being sacrificed, prompting a strategic decision to top the highest offshoot. Repotting looms on the horizon, promising a fresh chapter in her resilient journey. #5, boasting the thickest stem, resisted training with stoic determination. Yet, she embraced her topping with grace, evolving into a beauty adorned with two new main stems. In the grand finale, the introduction of oat hay aims to curtail water needs, fostering a sustainable ecosystem for the soil's microbial life. As the saga unfolds, don't forget to like the diary and join us for weekly updates, celebrating the triumphs and challenges of this flourishing garden. 🌿📖✨

Week 6 (Day 38): Thriving in the Vegetative Jungle In this enthralling chapter of our green chronicle, the seedling stage has gracefully bowed out, ushering in the era of full vegetation. Golden's notes echo with elation as the garden flourishes under the radiant sun of Week 6. A touch of drama unfolds as the ladies, having resettled in a new location, embark on a vigorous growth spurt, perhaps a dance inspired by the reduced direct sunlight. #4 takes center stage after a triumphant repotting, poised to unveil her potential in a spectacle of imminent growth. #2, a star in the making, showcases a robust stem and the emergence of sizable side branches, flaunting the result of a daring FIM that birthed three or four main stems. #3, the undisputed giant, boasts the thickest stem among the ladies, responding gracefully to topping with the emergence of two new main stems, their twirls weaving a mesmerizing botanical ballet. The once-runt #4, now a contender, catches up with a well-deserved repotting and soil amendment, overcoming a previous FIM setback in a tale of resilience. #5, the unsung hero, paints a picture of progress with robust leaves and a bushy structure, silently affirming her journey towards greatness. As the verdant symphony plays on, Golden contemplates a potential return to the previous spot when flowering time beckons. The saga continues to captivate, urging you, dear reader, to leave a like and follow this botanical odyssey for weekly updates. 🌿📖✨

Week 13: Emerging Victorious from the Abyss! Surviving the New Year's trials, Golden rises like a resilient phoenix from the ashes as the inaugural week of flowering unfurls its magic! #2, a bit behind its sibling, signals a week of promise – a prolonged veg period promises a bounty of buds. Brace yourselves, defoliation is on the horizon! #3, the formidable giant, boasts impeccable structure and an insatiable appetite. My bet is on her for the ultimate smoke experience. A week behind, but oh, the anticipation! #4, the petite contender, has caught up in size, albeit with a quirky growth pattern. Leading the pack after a rocky start, proving that setbacks can fuel substantial yield. #5, the second smallest, trails closely with #4 in the flowering timeline, showcasing a steady and commendable progress. Delving into nutrient adventures, this week witnessed the infusion of a compost tea – a bubbling concoction of worm castings and molasses for 24 hours. The outcome remains a mystery, with the prospect of either continuing or bidding farewell to the teas. For those who've journeyed this far, let the diary be your guide. A symphony of fruity scents dances in the air, signaling the season of bud is upon us. We're aiming for top-tier yields here, envisioning nothing short of majestic "donkey dicks" of cannabis glory. #3, on the other hand, received a gentler pruning, gracefully progressing through flowering at a steady pace, promising a bountiful yield in due time. #4, resembling more of a sativa in growth, demanded minimal intervention, her elegant stature exuding an enchanting aroma, while generously coating herself in a cloak of delicate trichomes. #5, our front-runner in the flowering race, underwent a tender defoliation, rewarding us with an intoxicating fragrance—notes of fruit mingling with hints of gas, a tantalizing preview of what's to come. Trichomes, like golden treasures, adorn even her sugar leaves, a sight that fills us with anticipation for the impending harvest. Week 6: Intoxicating Aromas Unleashed! As we venture deeper into the flower phase, our beloved ladies are morphing into dense, robust beauties. Though they may not yet boast the plumpness we crave, they're as solid as fortress walls – a promising sign for those aiming for colossal yields. This week, our senses are tantalized as the aroma begins to permeate the air. It's a symphony of scents, a prelude to the sensory feast that lies ahead. But wait, there's more intrigue afoot! Our botanical divas are revealing their individual personalities. While some strut ahead with confidence – ah, the proud #4 and #5 – others linger behind, as if savoring the anticipation. Yes, #2 and #3, we're onto you! In the midst of this olfactory adventure, a decision looms: when to pluck these precious buds? After much contemplation (and perhaps a few puffs for inspiration), I've decreed an additional week of maturation for #4 and #5. The anticipation builds, for soon, around the 8th week of flower, the harvest shall commence. Oh, what delights await us then!

Week 8 Flower The final week is upon although, I feel we are closer to week 9 than week 8 due to overlapping days when updating the diary. We water with molasses last week and since then it’s been straight water #2 is extremely dense and has a beautiful top canopy. I’m predicting now that she will be the highest yielder #3 is taking a beautiful shape her nugs are somewhat dense but her smell is overwhelmingly sweet #4 has absolutely huge nugs (in length) but is doubting any density. Her nugs are starting to topple over so maybe there is some density to her? #5 has the most beautiful nuggets. Her pheno is dense and her flowers are covered in trichomes We will be harvesting tomorrow at 6am just before sunrise to ensure the ladies have the strongest terps possible. If you’ve made it through the diary, make sure you leave your thoughts in the comments, and check back in about 12 days from now for the final yield and update before Golden closes this diary
