The plants only made it 3 days into week 9 of flower. I wanted to wait the whole week but they were looking perfect to harvest and I had the weekend to get it done. Was a little nervous about how much room I had in my drying tent but both plants once on hangers filled the tent perfectly. I borrowed a metal bar from my clothes rack and hung it with ratchet hangers to made a second level to put hangers of bud on. Borrowed my AC infinity controller from my cool grow propagation tent to control the drying tent. I have a 6 inch intake fan pulling air out and a small humidifier to keep up with the dry winter air. Have the heater in my studio set to eco mode at 60 degrees. And i don't have to run the ac or the dehumidifier this time because its winter. So far everything is holding optimal conditions. Both of my humidifiers decided to start leaking last week, along with getting sick last thursday, day after sowing some new seeds. Been playing a bit of catch up this week, it feels good to have the plants harvested and drying, and i can put my energy into my next runs. Also going to be starting my veggies soon. Mostly some peppers,eggplants, some herbs. Not going to get a wet weight on these plants, so I will update with the results in about 2 weeks once these are dried and I get them trimmed up. How much do you guys think its gonna be per plant?!
What a beautiful plant! The canopy looks great. You can see the good care during the vegetation. Great job! you've got it pretty much in cruise control
@Exotic_Gardener, Thank you, These plants have been so easy from day 1. That longer veg time is going to pay off I think. Although I think I could have filled the canopy a week or two sooner had I not still had my last plants in the tents and transplanted the Durban sooner. They were under that little p1000 in the 2x2 most of that veg. Take care!
@Lemonhazelover, Love the effects of Durban. Also looking for that classic Lemony fruity pebbles kind of bud. I have the flavor in mind just don't know what strain it is, if you have any suggestions for that kind of flavor? Obviously lemon haze, but maybe Ak47 or sour diesel is what im thinking of? Deffs more of a fan of the classic strains.Ordered some more Seeds including some Greenhouse Seeds Co. Neville's Haze, and sweet seeds Black Jack
@Jimmy_chonga,
Thank you! The Durban was a fun grow. I've heard there are two main phenos of Durban. One has a lot of turpentine and the other has lots of aniseed like I got with these plants. I never smoked anything that tasted like it, and not big on licorice but this does taste very good.I enjoy it, but
it's not something I would want to have smoke every day. It's pretty much a pure sativa feeling, which is the main reason I grew it. The onset of the high is kind of long and not the strongest but it helps me focus
@Exotic_Gardener, Very excited to smoke this flower. Thank you. Very awesome plant for scrog. It didn't even stretch too much after switching the lights. It did grow very fast in late veg though, even under the p1000 in the 3'x2'x4' cool grow tent.
