I planted these a bit late. I was waiting for my Rapid Rooters to arrive which took longer than expected. In the meantime both of the seeds popped in the paper towel and the seeds had sets of leaves and 1 1/2 inch long tap roots when I put them in soil. Both seeds leaves greened up within a day of getting planted. Let’s see how they do.

Plants grew to about 8 inches. I topped the 3rd set on the critical kush and the 4th set on the GSC to make them both about 4-4.5 inches tall. I also did LST to promote lateral growth.

Did some light defoliation in the center of the plant and some LST to get a more even canopy.

-Switched lights to 12-12 -Defoliated both plants + LST - increased feeding and added big bud and bud candy Challenges: the temps in the tent are dropping by almost 20 degrees with lights off and I’m getting humidity spikes. I might need to increase fan speed during day to lower heat or add heat/dehumidification during lights off to reduce the temperature/humidity deferential.

ScrOG’d the plants for support. Might have been a bit late but seems to help support the bud sites.

Built an automated watering system and 3D printed a drip ring that dispenses a half gallon to each plant. The water line is split between the AC self watering base and top watering the drip ring. Watering every other day for dryback. Noticed I’m starting to get bleached bud tips on the Girl Scout Cookies. Lowered the light intensity from 1000-1200ppfd to 800-1000 ppfd. The Critical Kush is bulking up more than the GSC which could be the Sativa dominance causing GSC to take a bit longer. Starting to get purple tones on the GSC.

I’m noticing possible light bleaching on the bud tips of the GSC. Will it go away? Should I remove the white part of the bud?

Hmm hard to say, it could be the beginning of light bleaching. It will not go away and you can't do anything to get it away. You can only place the light on a higher distance to get not more. (don't worry it have no effect on your harvest if you handle it now) Don't cut it away, it will not have any afford (only if you keep the distance/power of the light and the hole bud is white😅) I would just put the light higher. Ps: You can use the photone app to messure the umol (you can find a umol chart via Google for every stage) to find the right hanging hight or just follow the developer instructions chart. But for me it's not a clear light bleaching, I would put the light only 5cm higher and keep an eye on it. I used the older model of the light and had the same struggle. And yes it was bleaching because this light make strong Hotspots 😂

The Flowers are stacking/bulking up nicely. Because there was some light burn last week I raised the light up from 18 inches to 24 inches and the plants seem to be less stressed. I also added some B-52 and topped dressed with Recharge tea.

The Girl Scout Cookies is turning purple. The GSC is also showing dense tricomb development and buds. Some of the small buds are filling in but there is still larf under the main colas. The colas on the Critical Kush are getting very large however there are fewer bud sites than the GSC. Both plants are pushing out the tent and push against each other.

Took off a few leaves that were covering bud sites. Flowers are continuing to bulk up. Trichomes on top are about 50% cloudy and 5% amber lower flowers are still all clear.

I went a little heavy on the defoliation and I think I shocked the plants a bit. Not sure if they will completely recover before harvest. I think I should have left them alone. The leaves are drooping and some of the leaves are a bit crispy.

Did I screw up my grow? I went a bit too heavy on defoliation late into flower and now some of the leaves are crispy and drooping. I would harvest but trichomes are not all cloudy. Should I wait for them to ripen?

What organiclivingsoil said 100%..flush with plain RO water if you have..you can start plucking the sickly leaves as well..decaying leaves serve no purpose.

No need to defoliate after the 2-3rd week of flowering. Too late. Just cut off yellowing and dead leaves, make sure they're properly ventilated and plants don't touch. Just try avoid any late-stage fungi or disease to develop and ruin everything.

Wow, they look perfect, they are supposed to turn the leaves yrllow.and crispy, the flowers are eating the leaves in order to get bigger, smelliwr and attract bees to pollenate.. you have another week left, hope you are flushing the soil with clean water thats been left overmight to dechlorinate. Wonderful job
