Soaked overnight and sowed directly into 5 gallon pot with nutrient-less pro mix in the center that was sterilized.Sprouted in 3 days. Doing this alongside Sweet Seeds Black Jack in adjacent 3x3 once I flip them to flower.
Everything going smoothly. Not needing much attention watered two times lightly with sprayer. Last picture is day 9 I got a little behind on taking pictures. Both this and the Black Jack got slightly leggy I didn't have the light close enough. They seemed to want to stretch right into the 300 par range right away. Which i don't mind a whole lot it will give me a little extra space to work with and not have bottom nodes so close to the soil.
A little bit of a rough start for this little girl. Looks like I overwatered maybe. Also wondering if this is a runt as is is smaller than the Black Jack that sprouted the same time. Although that one may just be particularly strong. Good news is that If it is a runt I got an extra seed in my liberty haze pack. And will maybe just run a Durban clone instead of this if thing don't pan out well.sorry for the ugly sticky trap laced photos. Lol
This plants is struggling a little and off to a slower start than the Black Jack. Just taking a wild guess that the humidity level is too high for its liking. Looks a bit droopy. But overall its fairly healthy and going to keep a close eye on it. Added some more photos during the end of the week. Started the week upload at beginning of thus last week as i was getting behind and wanted to get caught up.
End of week 4 the Liberty Hazy has some huge older fan leaves. Some of them have this weird discoloration I know I have seen somewhere. Cant remember is it is generic mutation or some sort of disease. Deciding weather or not I'm going to flower this plant in the next few weeks as it starts to bush out. I topped the plant on center stalk and took a few of the fan leaves, and left a few of the big ones.
The liberty Haze is looking nice. I got to the bottom of a few things worrying me about this plant. The de-coloration looks to be two toned leaf mutation, and upon reading up on liberty Haze it is just slow growing in veg. So that would explain why its not quite as big as my Black Jack. Overall they are both doing extremely well both Showing some massive fan leafs with thick juicy stems. They both got haircuts today, and I saved all the best leaves to eat in a salad or on a veggie burger. The rest got fed to the worms that looked hungry. Then after trimming they got a top dress of dry amendments mixed into my homemade worm castings, and watered pretty heavy. Also they were moved from my cool grows 3x2 tent under the vipar p1000, and are now in my Gorilla Grow Lite 4x8 that finally arrived. They are now growing under my two Bestva Bat 650watt lights set to around 50-60 percent. Just finishing out flowering my two Durban Poison in the 2 Ac Infinity 3x3 tents then the liberty haze and black jack will get transplanted into the 30 gallon pots in the next few weeks. Also pictured are the durban clones/moms and my Galaxy Mom that got moved from my drying tent to make room for the durban to harvest soon. The two 30 gallon pots are for Nevilles Haze and the two 5 gallons are Seedsman Alaskan Diesel Auto and Critical 2.0 I have from a friend I figured I would give a try while the Neville's haze is vegging.
Little bit of a rough week hence the late update lol but at least a slow one as far as the Liberty Haze was concerned. Got some sort of stomach virus last Thursday and spend most of the week recovering. I sowed my Neveilles Haze and the autos the night before then both the humidifiers decided it was time to leak everywhere. Other than dampening the seedlings and filling the tank I was unable to tend to the plants Friday. It was getting dry so i dimmed the lights a little turned the fan down and when was watering sprayed the floor with a little water. One of the Nevilles Haze didn't sprout but the other one did and both autos sprouted so i decided to soak the last Nevilles seed and sow it because I was counting on only doing those two for the entire 4x8 and it has not sprouted yet either. So if it doesn't sprout I'm not sure what my plans are, I may try to run the Liberty and Black Jack in the 4x8 grow the 1 Nevilles Haze out and get clones of it, the run it in the 4x8.
Liberty showing two color mutation for sure. Hopefully some unique will come of it.
This is a thirsty little plant. And bush as hell! Has some cool looking leaf mutation really starting to show. Is drinking more water than the Black Jack that is twice its size. Looks like i have some peppers that germinated from my top dress from my worm bin! Lol I topped the Black Jack again, but opted to leave the Liberty Haze because its already so bushy. Hopefully going to get then both i to 30 gallon pots this weekend. I did some slight LST by gently bending to get it to open up a little
Not much going on this week. Taking care if some other things. The plants were doing fine on their own. Was working on clear space to make room to put the scrog screens in place.
The Gorilla tent was getting way to overfilled, so I got rid of the clones and got my other veg tent setup to house the auto-flowers and moms along with next Runs of photos I plant on starting.
Liberty was drinking lots of water so I decided to pot them up to 30 gallon. The roots still had a little bit to go i the 5 gallons so i think i caught it at a good time. I got the scrog nets set up and the plants bent under. I kinda broke some of a stalk of the mains stem but i tied it back on witn grafting tape and its still alive and growing a few days later. I was just a little too rough as this liberty is very bushy an was nit waning to ben easily at first.
Liberty Haze got top dressing a mix of veg and bloom mixed into a few cups of my worm castings, as they are transitioning, as well as a watering in with liquid kelp, pure protein, and Azomite. Tested my solution EC was around 700. Drinking a ton of water, been dumping around 3- 3 1/2 gallons in each 30 pot about every other day this week. Did alittle defoliation but not much, mainly just the lower stuff to get it away from the soil. Liberty is sooooo bushy, and slow growing in veg, I really hope it stretches a little bit.
Decided that Im going to keep vegging this Liberty out for at least another 8 weeks until the black jack is ready and I have space in my flower tent. I think I can pull it off as its growing pretty slow and wasn't even filling the 4x4 section yet. Another 8 weeks may be a bit long but I also needed to get my Nevilles haze starting to flower because at only 5 weeks is already bigger than the liberty and has a 14 week or so flowering time so i think this was a good compromise on both ends.
The liberty is extremely bushy and got a much-needed haircut this week, and got a few more cuttings in the process because I'm not sure how well the first round of cuttings are going to do. Didn't go too crazy but this next week im going to re-examine and go in for another topping and trimming and plan the structure out a bit as I'm not going to be training it in a scrog net because i will have to move it into my Flower tent. After another 8-9 weeks of veg, this thing should be an absolute monster. Also broke another stem this week, so that's two now so far on this liberty, and did 1 the other day on the black jack. So far they are holding up but man this one today was not so good.I hope it heals okay. And if not I have another 8 weeks of veg so I should be okay The horizontal branching is good for scrog but not for strength. Was tending to the liberty the day after I wrote the last part, the old break has healed and the plant started to grow into the grafting tape so I removed it, and the branch it holding on its own again.
She is getting soooooo bushy! It was time for a major defoliation. I started down low and lollie popped any shoot that i kept while removing most of the suckers and removing any large old fan leaves point in or covering tops. Also topped her as well.Decided to give anther veg oriented top dress and another brew of boogie brew this week as well. She started praying a little after I trimmed. I can finally see the soil through. I hope she doesn't get two big before i have the space to flower!
She's super healthy. I'm glad I did not give up on her.Not going to be a whole bunch going on for my updates for the next few weeks I'm assuming. Just some boring veg time. That defoliation and thinning looks like It wasn't even done! She bushed right back out within days. I still have some improved airflow/light penetration. But i think im going to aim for more of a mainline type trimming to get the very tips of the plant to stretch but to control some of the bush. She is staying pretty short still, but i did so some LST by by bending some of the tops in the center towards the end of the week to even thing out a little. Not feeding this week just plain water, she started to slow down alittle this week on water as I guess removing all that materal made it less thirsty. I thought the opposite would have been true since It needed to heal, but I guess its all a balnce. Thanks for stoping by!
The Liberty is looking more like a large bush than your standard plant. Almost like a mini west coast style outdoor plant. Noticing a lot more tops sharing the top of the canopy evenly. The bottoms are catching up as well. With a nice spherical shape Stems are thickening as well. Leaves are thick and green even within the canopy. I removed my original grafting tape from the scrog stem snap and is mostly healed but needs a little more time so I braced and covered the split with more grafting tape. Nothing than only water this week. Watered a little too much and fast early in the week but looking fine by the end if the week.Thinking about maybe tying some of the branches down to the pot and spacing things out a bit
Liberty Haze is thriving. Started giving her some cal-mag along with my other plants and they all seemed to perk up a bit and look even more healthy.I counted over 50 tops and shes not slowing down. The two autos should be done soon and I can move the mom plants out of the liberty's way so she can finish filling the 4x4 area. Shes starting to get a little taller than I want, so this next week i think I'm going to go in for 1 final toping/thining/defoliation before she gets flipped. Never got around to tying branches down. I may use a scog screen on her after all to help control the height onece I do move it in with the Nevilles after the Black jack is finished.
Not much to report on the plant itself this week. The main observation: shes getting BIG! She got a little underwatered and started to droop. She drank up a few gallons right away and was back to normal. Watered the next day heavy. And a couple days later she was begging for water again, all the plants. Then I survived my first power outage as a grower. Was only out for 3 hours luckily and the flower tent wasn't on yet. And the veg tent i managed to run if my car for an hour the my power inverter fault came on so i got my jump starter and the usb seed starter light i have and rigged them in the veg tent untill power came back. I tried to get a backup generator i had in my shed running but no luck. Looks like i may be needing to buy one. Only a few more weeks and i can move her in woth the nevilles
Shes a beast! Only a few more weeks I will have room in my flower tent for her. Shes still thriving. Drinking about 3 gallons ever 2 days. I need to do a major defoliation this week i preparation for flower. Some of the lower older fan leaves that are not getting much light are crisping up. I'm hoping that i can get the flowers to develop lower on the plant and i dont have a bunch of wasted space under the canopy. But the stalks are still quite flexible and not woody yet so i should be able to train her a little shorter without much stress. Although I have a tendency to split stems when I overgrow my plants! Lol shes healed from the split earlier in life completly.
Gave her a big haircut this week. I didn't want to but she was just getting too big. She had a nice spherical shape going. I topped most of the higher tops and tried to bend her down some. I think I can push it another week but some of the stems are getting woody and cant go to much longer before being bent underthe scrog net.
The last week of veg. I was able to finally get her into the flower tent and managed to bend the branches under the net without too much trouble. I ended up with a few unintentional "super-cropping", we'll see if the branches survive or not but shouldn't matter too much as i may have to thin a few more out after she figures out whats going on and pushes through the screen. She is wall to wall. She gets one extra ling day because of the light schedule if my two tent. But she will be flowering soon. I gave her a nice dose of compost tea and nice watering after getting her into the new tent. Can't wait to see how shes looking next week
The Liberty has finally made it to flower. I was a little nervous about the amount of branches i had to tuck and bend but after a week of getting used to her new home shes filling the canopy nice with tps.
Shes common along nice and starting to stretch. Drinking quite a bit this week. Showing the first signs if buds quick. I dimmed the light as the shes not used to this one and was getting a little too much light. Looking like all kinds of top colas that will be forming soon.
Was busy this week and didnt get as much photos as I wanted but the buds are just starting to develop. They are starting to smell finally and its quite amazing. Citrusy but also bubblegum and sweet. Hardly smells like cannabis at all right now more like candy. Shes still stretching a little but she hardly stretched at all the first few weeks so maybe she will get a but taller by the end. Couldn't be happier with the flavor profile of her so far.
She is smelling amazing, and I really like the terps shes throwing. Very candy/bubblegum like citrusy and sweet. Buds have been growing kind of slowly up until this point but i can tell in the next few weeks shes going to pack on some weight. Been steadily feeding her the Buddha bloom in low doses, as its very acidic and i cant add to much before my water is down to 4.2 and i need to start over. She had some of the old crispy dead leaves down low from being trained under the screen. It was mostly stuff that died from not having light, it all plucked right out and was able to clean up her feet easily, feed it to my worm bin.
Shes fattening up and already covered in trichomes. Buds are already a decent size and density, and the smells coming off of her are mouthwatering. Still been feeding light doses of buddha bloom and feed her my morel spore slurry.
Buds are getting fatter by the day. Shes starting to be completely covered in trichomes on the bud sites. Shes starting to eat up hear old fan leaves at a faster rate. Going to stop feeding buddha bloom and just water and molasses. I never really did a defoliation during flower and wish i would have, and i may even go in there and remove some of the bigger fan leaves as There are a lot of buds underneath starting to get big. Shes smelling wonderful.
She got mostly water but did give her a little compost tea and molasses. She's been kind of thirsty this week too. The buds on her are getting bigger than I expected this past week, still a bit fluffy but some of the lower stuff is starting to fill out and the stuff on the top still has a lot of white hair and still growing. It's slightly airy at the moment but I think it will start to fill out this weed and become more dense. Colas seems to be growing wider than tall, unlike the blackjack and Nevilles. Extremely smelling and delicious. Any time I need to work on her I get covered in resin. Shes starting to put on a pretty-looking fade and eating up more of the old fan leaves. I kind of want to let her go to 9 weeks but I think the Neville's is pretty much ready, and in another week the Liberty should be too. I am going to have so much trimming to do!
Its been a long journey for the Liberty Haze. When I popped her seed I never could have anticipated the monster she became, or how long I would spend growing her. The last month of her veg was me stalling waiting for space and she was well big enough once she did make it into the flower tent. She finished beautifully at just 8 weeks. I wanted and could have pushed her longer but humidity was getting high and i had to cut the Neville's so it was time to get the tent ready for the next round. The last week and a half she put on a quick fade. She is glistening with shiny milky trichomes all up and down the buds and all the sugar leaves. She's sticky as hell and smells fruity bubblegum lemony floral with some fuel behind it. I thought maybe the quality would start diminishing on the larger plants but it seems like the quality is getting better with larger plants with every run. Although this liberty was a bit runty at first. She grew extremely slow in early veg the after week 8 she started getting massive quick. This is deffs a cut I will be keeping around, but she is slightly hard to clone and my mom plant doesn't give me as many nice material for cutting as some of my other moms. The seed pack came with an extra seed so i still have 3 more beans of the liberty but i'm thinking about trying to reveg this girl outside this summer as an experiment. I think its worth shot she should flower quick in my area and if i can plant it right i can have it so i harvest my last indoor before shes ready. May also try grafting onto her. But if i do that i would start a new diary. Looking forward to smoking this, the smell brings back some good memories.
Wow man. What and epic two days of harvest and trimming. Took me 13 hours to trim this! And that was after 6 hours if trimming the Neville's the day before. Cleaned my trimming area in between plants because I didn't want to contaminate the Liberty so that took a few hours to complete. The liberty would have befitted from another week or two in flower and I think I would have made my trimming slightly easier. I really didn't want to cut much off being just so sticky and covered in trichomes. I lost a bit of my potential yield to larf. And looks like I have a few ounces of just larf. I'm going to make a little bit of coconut cannabutter but use most of it to make "dry sift" with my trim trays like i did with the back jack. Seems like this stuff would be pretty good to make into gummies now that I think about it. Seems to smoke pretty clean right off the bat as well. It dried in 10-11 days and I knew it was going to take a while to trim so I started early and I was getting some stem snap but no on others. I let all the finished trim bud set together i my climate-controlled room before jaring It's sitting at a good humidity today in my jars after I burped them. they should even out nicely.
