Week 1 in the world of my budding green kingdom has been nothing short of a horticultural rollercoaster. As I eagerly opened the tent each day, my seedlings seemed to be performing a botanical Broadway show, with each tiny leaf a performer in the grand play of life.
I'll admit, being a first-time grower is like being a rookie conductor at a symphony – you're not quite sure when to make the plants hit that high note. In my case, the high note is more like a leafy crescendo. The uncertainty mainly revolves around the watering routine. I've become the overprotective plant parent, checking on them every few hours, armed with a sprayer like a botanical superhero with a water gun.
To address my watering anxieties, I've adopted the "spray and pray" method. I let the topsoil dry out a bit, just enough to make it interesting for the plants, and then I unleash a gentle mist upon them. It's like they're getting a spa treatment every time I step into the tent – a bit of mist, a leafy massage, and perhaps some classical music playing in the background (I like to think the plants enjoy a good symphony).
From my inexperienced perspective, these plants are living their best lives. They appear healthy and robust, standing tall and proud, as if they've just conquered a miniature Mount Everest. I can almost hear them whispering to each other, "Look at us, defying the laws of gravity and all."
Now, I must confess, my confidence is like a teenage driver with a learner's permit – it's there, but it might lead to a few bumps along the way. Up until this point, I've only offered them pH-adjusted water. No fancy nutrients have graced their presence yet. It's like they're on a botanical diet, surviving solely on the hydration equivalent of distilled water and a dash of pH correction.
I envision my plants having secret garden meetings when I'm not around, plotting ways to convince me to introduce some nutrients into their lives. Perhaps they're forming a leafy rebellion, demanding a more diverse diet – "We want nitrogen! We want phosphorus! Down with water-only regimes!"
As I stand there, proudly observing my little green kingdom, I can't help but feel like a benevolent ruler, albeit one with a sprayer instead of a scepter. Week 1 has been a wild ride, filled with uncertainty, laughter, and the occasional leafy drama. But hey, every great story has its quirky beginning, and my journey into the world of plant parenthood is shaping up to be a comedy of horticultural errors – and I wouldn't have it any other way.
@StarfishSmallBatch, Yes, this is my first grow and all have been grown from seed. Unfrotunatley my setup isnt there yet where I can pull clones - thats my next step. I wanted to see how this grow is going and how " I'll do". As of now, I am happy. I learned alot during this grow and cant wait to apply my lessons learned to my next grow. I have been comparing my buds to similar grows and I do feel mine look insanley chuncky haha... bro, i am so excited to finally chop and smoke these.
I did step up my entire cannabis game the past few months. I just invested in a humitor to ensure my stuff remains fresh after harvest. I know as of now its not so familiar in our space, but humitors are the way to go. Check it out!! I got the 48L from
@THCpapa, nice work for your first grow. I stuck two five gallons and a 3 in a 2x2 tent with minimal control. Shockingly the results sucked. lol.
Keep up the good work.
@Mekster, Thank you! I am new to this grown thing and am only youtube educated in this. Intension was topping her but I might have done it a bit early, and now i am speading her (sounds kinky lol) so she can let more light inside of her
@emanresU, This is my first grow bro!!! Im telling youtube is awesome!
Everybody who had the pleasure of tasting these ladies got **cked up hahaha I am so
@StarfishSmallBatch, Appreciate the check up brother! I watch you grow very closely and learned a few things from you (such as the mag deficency on leave color)
Weed will always be mesmerizing. Truly a beautifully diversed plant, which has so much to offer, we'll probably never fully understand how amazing these beauties are and what untapped potential they have! The community is top notch... this never gets old.
Awesome job so far, keep it goin.
Back again I noticed the same exact thing with my plants around this time where they really wanted the nutes! I've heard raspberry boogie produces large branches and big nugs, so it does make sense!
Cheers to week 15 @THCpapa. I can't get over how large and in charge this pheno is! The nugs will probably be super long! Some of those fan leaves are throwing nine fingers! What a sign of great health! Can't wait to see this one a couple weeks down the line!
