Hello and welcome to my new grow diary 😊✌️🏽
This is another grow I've JUST finished actually, started the curing period 2 days ago.
It was such a great grow experience so I thought I'll share it with the rest of the 🌎 share my thoughts and explain what I did week by week, untill the fantastic end results.
All I can say is: what a beautiful plant! ❤️🌱
I'll try to speed up this diary so I can finally get back to real live grow diary haha (just started a new grow actually).
This grow I did side by side along with another mini grow, auto northern lights, Which I'll post very soon as well.
The northern lights is still running though.
In this diary I decided to be more thorough and better explain the important stages, especially for an autoflower strain ✌️🏽
So back on this grow journal!:
- 60x60x150 grow tent (24x24x60 inches)
- 120w Samsung lm301h + 180w cree cobs 3500k, I'm using a total of about 100w during veg and 200w actual power during bloom
- coco perlite (around 75/25 ratio) in 3 gallon fabric pot (12L).
- I use Terra Aquatica tripart line (use to be known as GHE) as base nutrients and some other additives.
- I run my lights 20/4
I pre soaked my coco medium with light solution + a nice dose of calmag (see amounts in the diary) at around 950 EC.
The EC I'm announcing is INCLUDING the ec in the water (my tap water is around 350-450)
I use the paper towel method ever since I started growing (almost 10 years) and it works like a charm every time!
Just make sure you put the soaked paper towel in a warm place (like 25-27c)
After popped, the seed was put into the coco with lights running 20/4 so the medium will get nice and warm for the little baby 🌱
See you in the next few days everyone! Peace and love✌️🏽❤️

Here we go again ppl 😉✌️🏽
First week is the most delicate week in my book, so I do everything I can to make sure the baby plant will get ideal conditions,
I keep the temperature high, at 25-26c doing light hours, and no less then 22-23 during the 4 hours of dark.
I keep the tent humid, and foliar spray the seedling 3-5 times a day with light solution of 0.8-0.9 EC.
I also make sure the upper surface of the coco is well moist,
These methods will insure a good development of the seedling while it can barely relay on roots at this point
Lights are on less then half power at this point at 80w with 85cm distance, as long as the seedling doesn't stretch up I'm happy;)
Until next week everyone ✌️🏽🌱

Second week of veg🌱✌️🏽
The little plant is growing nicely, roots getting bigger,
- the plant is still getting foliar spray feeding as well as watering every 3 days or so,
- I started to run to waste every watering, which is every 3 days or so at this point, soon she'll get fed any other day, these roots are developing fast now💪🏽
- I keep EC at around 1.0 - 1.1
Until next update everyone ✌️🏽🌱

End of week 3 ladies and gentlemen 😀
At this week on day 15, I topped the plant ✌️🏽🌱
When growing autoflowers, for me timing is EVERYTHING.
These very few weeks of veg are maybe the most important days in the plant's life, if I want to achieve good results with auto plants, If I want to get a wide and bushy plant that will yield plenty, I wanna make sure the vegging period will be as good as possible,
And so, how I top, and the time I top my plant is crucial when it comes to auto-flower plants.
Day 15 was the day for this Bruce banner when I saw the 5th node coming out, and as soon as I saw it, i topped it very gently.
That way of topping - very minor and gentle topping - is to reduce unnecessary stress for the auto plant, and growth continues vigorously and uninterrupted!
topping an auto too late, or taking too much of the plant, and you might ruined the good growth rate, might even stunt the plant, and it might grow too small and won't reach it's full potential 🤷🏽
I also DO NOT touch any other growth underneath the 5th node, that's for a few reasons:
1 - from the same reason I do such a gentle topping - in order not to delay the plant growth, by needing some time to recover, or even stunting the plant.
I will however do some lollipopping and cleaning only AFTER the end of streach period (around 3 weeks into flower) except some leaves here and there.
The second reason is I don't touch the lower branc is because I LST them to get a nice and branchy plant of course 😎
P.s - in some cases it might be beneficial to remove a few big fan leaves that really shadowing important growth.
Where every day of veg is important when it comes to autoflowers, in order to get that big wide bushy plant I want - I'm topping only healthy plant with a healthy growth rate, at a very young age, but still old enough to endure it without a problem.
That is why I found that once the plant gets to its 5th or 6th nodes of branches (days 14 to 18 usually for me), the plant is strong enough to NOT get stressed from the topping, and by removing such little growth (ONLY the 5th node when it JUST arrived) I'm getting another 12 -15 days of healthy growth before the plant automatically switched into flower 😎✌️🏽
A day after the topping I can already see a healthy growth rate from the plant, I give it a few days to stretch up a little, before starting LST the plant to get that wide, bushy and spread out plant that will fill up the tent as much as possible 💪🏽
That's how I do it anyway 😅😎
Until the next week ppl✌️🏽🌱

Week 4 for the Bruce banner 🌱
In this week I started to really train the plant and do some LST for a wide, bushy branching and equal canopy 🏽
The plant had enough time to grow since I topped it at day 15, and now I get the results, beautiful spread branching plant, that hopefully will get big and wide enough before flowering.
I did noticed that this Bruce banner phenotype appears to be more compact and bushy then a typical sativa dominant plant... interesting to see how it'll end up to be 🤓
Looks like week 5 we'll start the pre-flowering stage 💪🏽
During this week and probably the next 2 weeks I'll be training the plant and open it's branches as much as possible.
This plant response really well to bending and tying down, very flexible branches, I like that!
Until next week everyone 🌱🏽

Week 5, pre-flowering for the Bruce Banner!💪🏽🌱
The plant grows just perfect without any problem or deficiency,
Some highlights:
- after more then 2 years of using silica while growing with coco/perlite, this became a must in every grow for me!
I can definitely see the difference in plant health, much thicker stems and overall great looking plant!💥
- I use a 3 gallon fabric pot, and I just started to water twice a day, with run to waste, always with nutrients solution.
- at this point I keep training the plant - bending and some supercropping when needed - and open it structure as much as I can.
- I'm NOT doing any defoliation now, I keep the lollipopping and defoliation until a few weeks into flower so all the bud sites will develop currently without any stress.
So far I really like this plant who seem very healthy and doesn't give me any trouble!👏🏽
Until the next week everyone 🌱🏽

Week 6, and we are on flowering mode🤩💥🌱
The stretch this week was good, the plant kept filling up the tent, and bud sites started to form all over the plant.
Usually I wait until the end of week 3 at the flowering stage for the first defoliation, when the plant stop stretching, but this time I couldn't wait as this plant is sooo bushy! So I couldn't stop myself from cleaning out some large leaves.
At this stage I started watering the plant 3 times a day (run to waste and always with nutrients), as the roots develop so much the leaves got droopy very fast as well,
3 times watering was enough to fix that 🏽
All in all the plant seem super healthy! Love the low EC at 1.2 - 1.3
Some changes were made in the nutrients, Tripart micro, grow and bloom are all in 0.6ml /L
Until the next week ppl 🏽🌱

Week 7 for the beautiful Bruce banner 🏽🌱
I call this plant beautiful cuz that's the best words for me to describe it! Beautiful stature with it's long fat fan leaves, buds are forming round and dense!💚🤤
Only thing that I don't like - and that's a big deal to me - is the plant's compact stature.
I mean unlike the plant description, there was barely stretch on this plant, and he is definitely NOT a giant plant as described.
Only thing I can think of is that I got a very indica like phenotype,
I also thought maybe I stunt the plant by defoliating too early, but I didn't see any signs of stress at all,
The plant grows super healthy! Developed beautifully, it just stayed on the shorter side🤷🏽
But still a gorgeous looking plant, that develops lots of bud sites that already started to get resin all over!💥💪🏽
Highlights for this week:
- still watering 3 times a day, with feeding solution every watering, with a good amount of run off every time
- I lightly defoliate for a better light and air penetration
- keeping my E.C target (checking run off) at 1.3
And that's pretty much it, other then that I sit back and enjoy the show 😎
Until next week everyone, have a great weekend 🏽🌱

Week 8 🌱🏽
Nothing much to report, except that this plant is super smooth and easy to grow!💥💪🏽
Stretch has stopped completely, this is definitely an indica/short/bushy type of phenotype, I was hoping for a larger plant, that's why I used a 3 gallon pot instead of 4, as I didn't want the plant to over-grow the tent, but now I'm regretting not using a 4 gal, that might have helped for a bigger plant🤷🏽
Regardless this plant is absolutely beautiful! The buds are forming very dense and Soo sticky!
- I lolloipopped the plant and still do some minor defoliation here and there
- Started to add my PK booster "bloombastic" by Atami
Until next week everyone 🏽🌱

End of week 9 for the Bruce banner 🏽🌱
What we have now is explosive bud development! 🍑🌱
The plant is doing great, no issues once or ever, the buds seem bigger by the day, all I have to do now is sit back and enjoy this beautiful plant do it's thing.
Enjoy the photos ;)
One thing about this plant is the trichome production! I mean the buds seem silver white from a far, and we still have a few more weeks left! love it!🤩
Highlights for this week:
- I keep defoliate the plant here and there for a better light and air penetration
- I keep a close look after humidity levels, also added extra fans for ultimate air flow around the plant, better safe than sorry
- I continue to water the plant 3 times a day to keep the coco as saturated as possible
- I check the E.C from the run off 2-3 times a week to keep everything under control
Until next week everyone 🏽🌱

End of week 10 - day 70 from sprouting 🌱
What a beautiful plant!!🤩
Started flushing at day 67 when I saw the trichomes are mostly cloudy with maybe 1%-5% amber,
A few days and we're getting to harvest day!
Ripening phase is always so excited, and this plant is just a beauty to behold with it's crazy trichome production, super dense buds, and that purplish colors I'm getting at the end (maybe due to the low temperatures at around 20c at dark hours).
Other then flushing nothing else to report, I did changed the nutrients uptake a few days before flushing.
Until next week everyone 🌱😊

10.5 weeks! Day 73 was harvest day!👏🏽🎉
What a great plant! 🤯👏🏽👏🏽
Only 73 days from germination untill harvest!(cloudy/amber 85/15).
I flushed the plant for 7 day before harvest.
The leaves then transformed from healthy green into yellow, that complimented the green/purplish buds beautifully, delicious clean buds!
The buds ended up completely covered in resin, this plant is so sticky to the touch, it's impossible to touch it without gloves!
The plant went into drying for about 7-8 days before put into jars for curing
Some information about the grow style and techniques:
- Space: 60x60x150 cm grow tent
- lights: total of 200w wall draw power, Led lights
- medium: coco/perlite, 3 gallon fabric pot
- nutrients: base - Terra aquatica (GHE) trio series
Training techniques: topping, Lst, Hst and defoliation.
Watering: High-frequency fertigation (keeping the medium moisture as full as possible always) with run to waste, nutrients given every watering.
All in all growing this plant was a great experience, super easy to grow, beautiful plant that yielded plenty!
Yes, after the amazing run I've had with the gorilla cookies I was greedy enough to expect a bigger yield I won't lie, but this phenotype stayed short and didn't grow big as I expected her to be.
Smoking this strain is what it's all about!
Absolutely perfect smoke for me!
Very smooth and easy to inhale,
Taste is very earthly/pine and a bit spicy.
This strain gives a unique high that started slowly in the head, and gets really instance as the time goes by, until you find yourself high af before you know it! Later on the high set into a total body relaxation that leaves you super relaxed, ready to go on with your day, or fall asleep if you wish to 😉
Definitely on of my favorites! Very happy I decided to finally try this Bruce banner out 💚👏🏽
Thank you for checking out this grow, thank you for sharing your thoughts and helping out when needed, much appreciated 🙏🏽
Until the next diary my fellow growers 🌱
