End of week 3 ladies and gentlemen π
At this week on day 15, I topped the plant βοΈπ½π±
When growing autoflowers, for me timing is EVERYTHING.
These very few weeks of veg are maybe the most important days in the plant's life, if I want to achieve good results with auto plants, If I want to get a wide and bushy plant that will yield plenty, I wanna make sure the vegging period will be as good as possible,
And so, how I top, and the time I top my plant is crucial when it comes to auto-flower plants.
Day 15 was the day for this Bruce banner when I saw the 5th node coming out, and as soon as I saw it, i topped it very gently.
That way of topping - very minor and gentle topping - is to reduce unnecessary stress for the auto plant, and growth continues vigorously and uninterrupted!
topping an auto too late, or taking too much of the plant, and you might ruined the good growth rate, might even stunt the plant, and it might grow too small and won't reach it's full potential π€·π½
I also DO NOT touch any other growth underneath the 5th node, that's for a few reasons:
1 - from the same reason I do such a gentle topping - in order not to delay the plant growth, by needing some time to recover, or even stunting the plant.
I will however do some lollipopping and cleaning only AFTER the end of streach period (around 3 weeks into flower) except some leaves here and there.
The second reason is I don't touch the lower branc is because I LST them to get a nice and branchy plant of course π
P.s - in some cases it might be beneficial to remove a few big fan leaves that really shadowing important growth.
Where every day of veg is important when it comes to autoflowers, in order to get that big wide bushy plant I want - I'm topping only healthy plant with a healthy growth rate, at a very young age, but still old enough to endure it without a problem.
That is why I found that once the plant gets to its 5th or 6th nodes of branches (days 14 to 18 usually for me), the plant is strong enough to NOT get stressed from the topping, and by removing such little growth (ONLY the 5th node when it JUST arrived) I'm getting another 12 -15 days of healthy growth before the plant automatically switched into flower πβοΈπ½
A day after the topping I can already see a healthy growth rate from the plant, I give it a few days to stretch up a little, before starting LST the plant to get that wide, bushy and spread out plant that will fill up the tent as much as possible πͺπ½
That's how I do it anyway π π
Until the next week pplβοΈπ½π±
thats a very nice dairy, and a good looking plant. 260g per plant is like 100% more than i ever got from one plant and mine was a photo haha. good job!
@Seedler, hi sorry for my late reply,
thank you for the kind words brother! This strain was a pleasure to grow, although I was expecting to get a bigger plant and she still gave a generous yieldππ½π±
@Metosc, hi! I water around 5 liters per day, it seems her roots took over the 3 gallon pot, next grow I'll be using 4 gallon, that might reduce watering to twice a day,
I do "High-frequency fertigation" - when I try to keep the water capacity in the pot always as full as possible,
Hope that answer your question π±
@@Chunga, thank you, And yes this strain is amazing! Finished her already, a little behind with the diary, but this strain definitely because one of my favorites π½π±
@Wenz004, hi!
Why without nutrients?
I use nutrients since the very beginning, just in very small quantities, my tap water is at 0.3 then I add nutrients to the level I'm specifying π½
your Bruce looks amazing, it beat my first Bruce from 3 years ago in the g/watt! Nice!
I now must grow Bruce again, the strain is unreal, and I must out-perform your plant! ππππ
Thank you for the awesome diary! π
