Decided to try out a few auto flowers along with my Neville's haze tent as its going to be a long veg and grow in general. Germinated quick, about 3 days. Got sick the day after they were sown and was sick much of the week. I wasn't sure if they were going to make it! But everything went well. Soaked overnight and direct sown into 5 gallon.
Everything went smoothly for week 2 with not much attention. Still getting the new tent dialed in. I'm down my Ac T3 Humidifier right now but they are sending me a new one, so my humidity levels are a bit low. Had to keep up with the other plants waterings to keep the humidity levels somewhat reasonable though. They started to get a little leggy and are pretty far from the lights but have between 250-325 par at that level with the lights set around 60-70 percent.
The new seedlings are starting to take off. All the plants got two healthy waterings. The second one at the end of the week with a quick compost tea brew 8 hours of all the worm juice at the bottom of my worm bin along with a handful of the castings ,kelp meal, liquid kelp, azomite, little bit of happy frog and dr earth dry amendment, some molasses and a little but of pure protein but it wasn't dissolving so well because it had formed from powder into a hash-bar like chunks. I also topped all the containers iff with a handful of castings with worms mixed in to introduce some because I think I forgot to when I filled the containers.
The Alaskan Diesel has been doing great from day 1.It is not stretching much and the leaves are already quite large. Nice new growth. Just been giving it a light watering in the top, and haven't needed to water as much as the other plants because they got bottom watered so much from the humidifier leaking last week.I have been struggling with my humidifier being able to keep up so I ordered a Govee 7L wifi unit until my Ac Infinity replacement comes and to have a backup and to use in other tents. After watering the first time the plants started to pray a little. Then for whatever reason my humidifier went from being set at max in the morning to low later that evening and the plants sere not happy with that. Vpd was around 1.8 82F 55%H then i watered them again with the compost tea and reset the humidifier the full blast and got i back to 79F 67%H And the vpd around 0.9 and thats where they seem to be happy.
Growing a little shorter and stockier than the critical but going well. Did some leaf tucking to expose the new shoots. The foliage is nice color. Got moved to my new veg 4x8 tent to live the rest of its life out under 18 hours light.
Shes short and stocky but putting off some nice side shoots that are starting to reach the canopy level later in the week. Not much watering happening maybe quart or two twice a week. Got a feeding of liquid kelp pure protein and azomite. Thinking this will be the last week of veg this coming week. Took me over an hour to update this week. And still showing its only in week 4. Any help would be appreciated.
Looks like the last week of veg. Its starting to stretch now and I don't think It will get as tall as the critical but by the end of next week I think it will gain some hight. Gave a top dress, 1 cup of Gia Green power bloom and someone the boogie brew i made up. Cut some of the lower stuff that was very close to the soil but thats all I plant on cutting.
First week of flower she was starting to get a bit overshadowed by the other plants so i put it on top a 5 gallon bucket and that get it to the same exact hight as the critical. Some of the leaves towards the top are slightly tacoing but I think she will adjust by the end of the week. Small buds forming already, looking tall and pointy. Not drinking much water, but did get some boogie brew at the end of the week.
She seems to be flowing a little slower than the critical but already getting some slight diesel aromas from her tall narrow buds. The internode spacing is pretty close. It looks like the main cola will be a decent length. She didn't get as tall as I thought during stretch but I also raised her on the bucket about 1 1/2 weeks into flowering and could tell ahe wasn't the happiest about it at first as show by he top leaves slightly taco-ing but I needed to do it or else the critical would have been blocking a good portion if the light. They are both at about the same height now and rock in and rollin'! Wont be long I'll be trimming before I know it.
The buds were quite a bit larger after this week of growing. Starting to get a little frosty and some more smell. Kind of sweet smelling this week. The lower leaves are fading quickly, and what seems to be kind of early.I top dressed early in the week with rainbow mix pro bloom mix and boogie brix then at the end of the week i topped with a little kelp meal and watered in with some liquid kelp with some phosphate and Potassium sulphate. Also defoliated most of the completely yellow leaves.
The Alaskan Diesels buds are starting to take shape and looking nice. Tight cone shape and forming long colas. Excited to see how much they fatten up this week. She got a few feedings this week as shes starting to fade and showing a little light stress. I also took her off the 5 gallon bucket as she wasn't taco-ing or anything like that before and i want her to start finishing soon. Feeding was a combo of liquid kelp cal-mag and buddha bloom, and she seemed to perk up after the second feeding. I had to remove a good portion of yellowing and crispy leaves, but I think she will at least have enough steam to make it to harvest. I'd like to let her go another two weeks but she might get harvested at the end if the week depending on how much she develops. The smells are getting stronger and mostly sweet and fuity at the moment. Shes just startung to pack on some frost, so i susspect this weeks he will be amelling nice and dank.
It was her last week of life. Picked a little sooner than I wanted but needed to move things forward with my tents and the critical 2.0 was a week done already. She still looks pretty tasty and some frost but not exactly how I planned. When reclaiming the soil the pot was pretty rootbound. It ate up all its food to quick even with a few top dressings and compost tea. The leaves started yellowing, and dying quick towards the end. She doesn't smell nearly as much as the critical but has a nice sweet fruity vibe. I considered these autos just a bonus anyways in between my photoperiod runs. Check back in hopefully 2 weeks for the harvest update.
Drying ended at day 13 and trimmed her in about 1 1/2 hours. The final dry bud weight was 2.5 oz. Once in jars the humidity was sitting around 58 percent and will monitor closly over the next two weeks. The smell is sweet with slight fuel. She could have used another week to finish but overall i think she turned out better than average for being harvested slightly early. I think i could have put on another 1/2 oz of weight as well. It was a relatively easy plant to grow but got very hungry towards the end. Make sure to feed her around week 3 with and even feed.
