Grow Questions

Hi, this is my first grow and I am trying to make it successfull. Unfortunately my plants are growing very slowly because I made a few mistakes in the first 3 and a half weeks. I think the crucial one was using CFL 250W Bloom light. Do you guys think I can save this grow?

hey Nubrinnah, yeah don't you worry about a thing, you can save the grow you can even harvest a killer grow. To be honest they are not that slow for a 150W LED grow. Many growers skip the first couple of weeks of grow so it kind of looks like theirs are faster. I would say keep doing what you're doing with your auto, make sure you have cal-mag and add some because 24/7 lights are a tough one for autos they go into over drive. If you can, end of next week start adding some molasses, it has carbs in it that the plants use to make flowers. You'll see flowering maybe end of the month. Good luck getting this grow to harvest ! 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow, Does the 2 week flush period apply for coco coir as well? I have read somewhere that 1 week should do just fine :)

CRiSPrGrowcommented6 years ago
@nubrinnah, start the 2 week flush asap , this is going to work, you'll see, just check the trykes every watering, in case the trykes start turning too fast.

Buds look good, good job only using CFL?
nubrinnah
nubrinnahcommented6 years ago
@GreenHouseLab, Hi, nope. Week 1-3 CFL, week 4-8 LED, week 8-11 CFL+LED and finally, week 12 just LED again :D

@CRiSPrGrow, so, I’ve checked the trichomes really closely and from my point of view they’re mostly cloudy. I’ve given the plants their last feed this morning and I will soon start flushing them. I hope I will be able to flush at least for a week before I’ll see some amber trichomes :)

@nubrinnah, thanks - I guess we can agree you can't see anything useful, so you see how different it is? the world is amazing 😂 I'm sending this to my friend, let's see what he says lol

@@Pot_Pharmer, right, sorry, didn’t get it the first time. Yes, it was 7 weeks of flowering for me, if I could thought, I would go for another few days, maybe a week ;)

@@Pot_Pharmer, hi, thanks. If you mean the final plant height, for me it was the week 8.

Hi @nubrinnah! Yes you still can have a pretty good yield, you're not growing an automatic strain so you can take time to work on your plant's structure and trigger flowering once you're satisfied with the canopy. Give them a few hours of darkness everyday to recover from any kind of stress, try to water the outside border of the container rather than watering straight to the seedling's foot, try to give them the right spectrum for the veg stage, think about topping/fimming and plan your LST, then you'll be rewarded with a great harvest. We'll be around to help you again, now the priority in my opinion is to get a more appropriate light spectrum and top them before they grow vertically. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@Stick, I think I will continue this grow. I might be disappointed by the yield, but I would be more if I would give up now (don’t like giving up). Anyways thanks for your help and support :)

@nubrinnah, OK I had the wrong info indeed, they might give you a light yield, but you will learn a lot. If you're not hurry to smoke those buds, you may consider throwing it all and starting all over from fresh seeds, with your new light from day 1 and much care/love everyday. In this scenario I think I would start over, I don't like to work for months on a weak basis but it's up to you 👋

@Stick, Hi Stick. Thank you for your answer. Something probably went wrong when I was posting because it is auto flower indeed. I have bought a new light with VEG and BLOOM light and I’m currently running full spectrum. What do you think, is it gonna help? Thank you :)

If you're having problems with drying too quickly, definitely leave most levees on and trim after drying, will help then dry slower.
