Hello Growmies,
Entering the fourth week of vegetation, our Red Banana Pudding by Anesia plants are showcasing their flourishing growth, each reaching an impressive 22 cm in height. This week's growth spurt signifies a thriving vegetative stage, with each plant embodying the robust characteristics of its strain.
Mirroring the Epic Buzz's progress, the Red Banana Pudding plants have been transplanted into their final homes—12.5-liter air-pots that offer ample room for their roots to spread and establish. During this transplantation process, Great White, a mycorrhizal inoculant, was introduced to encourage a symbiotic relationship between the new soil and the plant roots, enhancing nutrient and water uptake.
The climate within their habitat has been finely tuned, thanks to the integration of a heater and humidifier, resulting in a controlled and stable environment. The consistent readings from the environmental graphs indicate that the temperature and humidity have been maintained within the optimal range, ensuring the plants can effectively transpire and access the nutrients they need for growth.
The light intensity, carefully measured at 150-180 PPFD via the Photone app, with the lights set at a gentle 25%, provides a nurturing glow for these young plants. The IR lighting strategy before the lights turn on and off, and the UV light session at midday, mirror the natural solar cycle, promoting healthy growth patterns and reinforcing plant defense mechanisms.
With the upcoming addition of a Mars Hydro inline fan, the control over nighttime dehumidification will be enhanced, ensuring that the Red Banana Pudding plants are not just thriving during the day, but are also protected from excess moisture and potential pathogens during the cooler, more humid night hours.
The Red Banana Pudding plants are on a solid path, well-nourished and well-equipped to handle the rigors of the vegetative phase. As we continue to monitor and adjust their environment, we can anticipate another week of strong and steady growth.
Stay lifted,
Salokin.
