Hello Growmies,
As we sail through week 7 with our Red Banana Pudding cultivars, it's been a journey of meticulous care and targeted adjustments outside of the Tent-X challenge spotlight. The preflower stretch has these beauties reaching for the skies, and their reaction to the training has been remarkable, particularly for #1 and #3, which have won my favor with their robust stature and symmetrical beauty.
Our lighting strategy has adapted to their growing needs; we've dialed up the PPFD from the vegetative 250-350 to a vigorous 450-500, providing an optimal light spectrum for their transition into the flowering phase. This careful increase is set to prime them for a bountiful bloom.
The feeding regimen has been tweaked to match their new growth stage, with Alga Grow making way for Alga Bloom, catering to the flowering nutritional demands. They're drinking up 2 liters every 4 days, savoring the blend of Alga Bloom, Sugar Royal, Power Roots, and Orca, which has maintained their lush green foliage and sturdy branches.
Environmental control remains key, and the TrolMaster data reflect a mostly stable VPD, with the occasional spike due to my lapse in fan adjustments during the night. To combat this, I've invested in a Prima Klima EC blue fan, which promises to streamline the airflow control and maintain a consistent environment for our thriving plants.
Inspecting the plants, Red Banana Pudding #1 stands out with its thick stem and well-developed branches, ready to support the weight of the flowers to come. #3 follows suit, with an impressive canopy that promises an abundant harvest. Both have exhibited a resilience and a responsiveness to the training that underscores the potential of their genetics and the efficacy of our growing practices.
We're on the cusp of flowering, a stage that will no doubt showcase the fruits of our labor and the inherent potential of the Red Banana Pudding strain. With continued attention to their needs and the steady hand of an experienced grower, the prospects are as exciting as ever.
Stay lifted, and watch this space for more updates from the garden.
