Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of flowering.
Opening the tent at 8 am and closing it at 8 pm has sent these girls in flowering. Now they are showing resin.
I meant to get in here this week and do a final trim/prune, but life got in the way, so I'll get in here in the next few days to do that.
Then I'll start pollenating the plants with the males that are already flowering in a different greenhouse.
I'll put the clones into flowering today. I just have to place them in the tent when I close it up at 8 pm and take them out in the morning.
After 3 weeks I'll put them in the other greenhouse with the males over them and let gravity pollenate them all.
Once the clones have been under the males for a week, ...
I'll kill the males before the pollen makes seeds in other peoples plants that will be going into flowering this late summer.
Ok. Keep Growing Straight.
Chuck.
Hello. After 30 years of growing, I've found my first twin. Can they be separated? Have you heard of it being done or have you done it or should I just cut the weaker stem out? What other advice can you give on this matter. Chuck.
Are they separate or conjoined? If so separate safely. If joined them I'd grow as is to see how it turned out. It's rare so a documented experiment would be interesting. If you are only growing that one then maybe start another.
I feel if you cut it off there is a big chance both will die. They are fragile.
Let em ride dude
Hello. I asked a question about twins a day ago. Gently dug down to find a root for each stem. Separation successful. My question now is - are they identical or not? I my mind they are, What do you think. Chuck.
genetic mapping.. no way to see a physical thing that results from the fertilized egg splitting or if there were 2 unique eggs fertilized to start.
might have a good guess, but can't be certain of it.
@Chuckwaggon420, Thanks Buddy. The buds are already a good size and I still have got 5 weeks to go. I'm hoping for more than 2 K out of this, this year. My biggest harvest from this greenhouse is 1.8 K a few years ago. Chuck.
@Inganjawetrust, Thanks. I built the greenhouse about 20 years ago, but when it was legalized in Canada I started growing in here. It was used for cactus's before that. Chuck.
@Ghrim, Thanks Buddy. Took some work but I finally got through it.
Took 7 days to cut down 9 plants. It took 5 days to cut down the 6 plants in the greenhouse.
@Inganjawetrust, Thanks Friend. Got a few 100 g branches when I was wet trimming at harvest.
It will take a few days to get it all into jars, but it's mostly dried and cured now. Got 316 g dry from the first plant I weighted up.
Thanks for looking in. How are you liking the comics? Good cannabis content for the diary.
Chuck.
@Chuckwaggon420, Hi Buddy. I've grown them all from seed. I've got some 20 year old ones that are about 4 inches across. I've got peyote seeds too if your interested but they are illegal in the states, so don't get caught. They flower with small pink flowers and are self pollenated so they just make their own seeds. I keep them in the small greenhouse where I pollenated the clones (see the video a couple of weeks ago). I also have 3 types of Trichocereus with san Pedro being one of them. My large greenhouse that I'm growing cannabis in now used to be filled with all sorts of cactus. Chuck.
@Chuckwaggon420, Thanks Buddy, I enjoy it when others enjoy it I think this is my 5 year, growing like this, in the greenhouse.
Each year I learn, and tweak the system a little better for the next year. Thanks Buddy. See ya around. Chuck.
@Beadle420, Your a fan too. Great. Good to meet you. When I was 45, I thought I would grow some for myself.
I've got a few left that are 20 years old. The grafted peyote here are about 15 years old.
I just shipped to my U.S. friend some seeds in the mail about a month ago. He's got little green lumps coming up now.
Where did you find and start your first seeds? Chuck.
Hi Chuck,
wow, thank you for your very detailed Diary for the Blackberry Moonrocks, iam still reading
If it comes to high THC rates, the keyword is Sinsemilla- but this is no real news for you
I enjoyed it, reading your Diary, and looking on the pictures of your garden- very lovely- thy for sharing
and such a nice Greenhouse Setup!
i really can see your devotion. passion and love for plants ( and pets)
my condolences for the passing of your Mum.
@Irati_Anesia, Hello. Thanks for that. Means a lot... and yes I love my cannabis and try to show it.
I'll hopefully starting some Vanilla Frosting of yours this winter and I want to try your M.A.C. in the greenhouse next summer.
I have some regular seeds of Mac and Crack from Seed Stockers to make some crosses with next year too.
Yes, I hear what you said about Sinsemilla, but the 3 plants I grew, inside didn't get pollenated and were about the same strength as the others.
A cannabis plant make only a few seeds per run that turn out to be "the great ones", it's those seeds that I'm after, but I keep getting the average ones.
I start more that one seed to get better odds of getting one of the great ones and I'm always hoping one of the seeds from the next strain will be one of the great ones.
I've also got Captain Future, Bola Mints, Future #1, and Slurricane to try, so I'm hoping to find a great one out all those good strains.
I get my seeds from Sensible Seeds and found your great deals in the 2024 seed collection section. Good deals on the 25 packs by the way. 😃 Thanks.
Thanks Friend.
Chuck
@Vichologo, Thanks Friend. Good of you to say. Seems this strain is White Powdery Mildew resistant.
I've got WPM on my peas, lilac bush and dandelion weeds but not in here.
Chuck.
