The_Apprentice This is my first grow in over a decade and have been assisted by a friend who’s been growing a lot more regularly over the past several years, using auto flowers indoors due to weather/temp conditions and wanting quicker grow times. After 48 hrs all seeds showed life but unfortunately didn’t reach a maturity at the same rate (no doubt because of my amateur skills) I put 60L of soil between 5 grow bags. Plant 5 took the longest but i decided to put into tent after 108hrs in hope that the conditions would be more stable in tent and also because of my lack of patients. I’m hoping it will still pull thru, one cotyledon seems to not have fully developed and reacted badly to the light in my tent, which is set at minimum 250w.

Tomorrow morning is a week since the second 2 seeds went in (P3,P4)
Seed 5 unfortunately didn’t pull thru 😢
And we have a Mutant! P3 the 3 leafed Monster 👽 (at least i hope she will be)

The_Apprentice It’s been a strange week this week, few ups and downs, happy with the leaf development and general health of the girls but i think they might be lacking a bit of height and length between the nodes so I’ve been advised to not increase my wattage just yet and to increase the distance from light. I’ve also in the last couple of days moved them to the outer side of the tent, not like I’m lacking the space lol, in hope that this will encourage them to stretch up and out in search for more light; fingers crossed its a winning combo.
Still only feeding water when soils dried up.
Will deffo put a couple more plants in next time.

The_Apprentice Today is the end of week 3, mid week this week i topped P1&P2 and did a bit of very light stress training on P3&P4 and later this evening I’m going to do a bit on P1&P2. I’ve started tucking away the bigger fan leaves in an attempt to get some light to the smaller leaves around the bud sites. I’ve given up on trying to gain any serious height on them and going to focus on trying to get a better spread and all round bushier plants. Hoping for a couple more weeks of veg.

The_Apprentice Pics were taken 4 weeks from first day in tent exactly.
Started to notice colour of leaves changing early in week 4 and stigmas appearing mid week. They have gained some size for sure and P3 (the mutant) really excelled this week, taking over P4 for size. Have done some LST on all plants but tried not to over do it. Started to remove some fan leaves to expose some of the inner areas of the plants that aren’t receiving much light, again trying not to over do it as I’ve been reading that you shouldn’t remove to many leaves on autos.

Not been a great week all in all, again, I’m happy with the all round health of all 4 plants but not so happy with the size/rate of growth. I foolishly tried lowering the day time temps by a couple of degrees in an attempt to reverse the drooping leaves but after a little more research I realised I had been letting the night temps stoop too low and the drooping was in fact, or at least I believe it to be, due to cold stress because of my, sometimes more than 10.c difference.
They seem to have reacted well to the nutrient change this week, going from a mixed bag to all advanced nutrients PH perfect range.
Lots of what i believe will become popcorn bud sites on the lower stems with some leaves that wont seem to mature even after exposing for over a week now with LST, i will slowly remove them day by day and not all in one hit as to not stress the plants out too much.
I don’t believe I’m going to hit the targets I had set myself before this grow but tbh this was always a trial run and I’m glad I’ve made these mistakes on just the 4 (originally 5) plants rather than the 10 i plan on doing next time around; you live and learn.

The_Apprentice Much happier this week, Increased the over night temps by several degrees and they’re loving it!
Increased the wattage and so far so good.
After removing some of the lower more scraggly popcorn bud sites at the bottoms the upper sites seem to be coming along well.
The temperatures outside my environment have gone up by several degrees so its made day temps in my tent reach new highs but they seem to like it.
Hardly if at all have the humidifier running atm.

The_Apprentice More defoliation this week, wishing I had done more sooner but don’t want to over do it all at once now and stress them out too much, got rid of lots more small bud sites that wouldn’t have amounted to much more than a few wispy fox tail buds.
Nearly overdone it with the stress training on P2 and ripped right thru the knuckle where I had topped her, I managed to tie her up with some lace and she still seems to be doing ok so fingers crossed on that one.
It’s a bit late in the grow I know but added bud candy to my feeds in a hope to increase smell and taste of end product.
I normally feed 1 water 1 nutrient in rotation but I’ve fed nutrients in my last 2 feeds and will probably feed nutrients in every feed now up until flush.
The very tips of a couple of the girls have turned slightly purple.

The_Apprentice Buds getting slightly bigger, still a long way to go before il be happy.
Starting to gain more crystals, hopefully they’ll be nice and covered come chop down.
Overall I’m happy with how they are considering the mistakes I made at the beginning which has lead to the smaller plants.
Continuing to remove the small bud sites to try and pack the meat up top.
Nearly snapped one of my main shoots trying to pull 2 apart; lesson learnt there!
Smells not overwhelming but nice when close up.
Hopefully get another couple of weeks before the big chop

The_Apprentice Started flush this week, will flush for 2 weeks minimum.
Giving 1ltr of just water per plant every other day.
Seeing steady beefing up in the buds.
Leafs have started to yellow up the last couple days.
Crystals increasing slightly.
Ironically the biggest bud has developed on what, for the most part, has been the smallest and slowest growing plant P4 (un-topped)
Hoping to get to day 75 in tent then 48hrs of dark before the big chop.

The_Apprentice Not much to report in the last week.
Slow and steady bud growth.
Been difficult trying to keep temps down.
Trichomes still mostly clear.
Was originally going to harvest on day 75 but after viewing other diaries of the same strain I think I may run a week or 2 longer to see if I can get the buds to swell out more.
Didn’t wait the extra week and decided to chop on day 76 of being in tent
All trichomes were milky with roughly 30% amber
Smell was gorgeous and bud density really came along in the last few days
Flushed for a full 2 weeks
Opted for a 24hr darkness after not watering for over 24hrs (could have waited another 24 and left in dark for 48 but inpatients got the better of me)
Spent a couple hours on a wet trim and left all buds on the stalks and hung whole
All pics taken before the trim and chop
