Welcome to the captain red bread run! As much as I wanted to pop a whole pack of one of these. I really like having different flavors on deck . From The captain we are running blue city chisel and tangerine dream. Both are feminized seeds. I’m also running a custom seed. seeds a buddy of mine made. He calls it bullish ape. Bully kush x gg4. These are regular seeds. Last summer I popped 3 Of them and they were all males. This time I popped 2 more in hope one is female.
These girls where soaked in water for 18 hours s and then drop in solo cups fill with roots organic original soil and watered with a little bit of recharge.
3 days later they all popped up. They are all small seedlings and I will update in one week
Looks like my last update did not save.10 days ago, I transplanted both of the captain red beards into 1 gallon pots. And the bullies went into half gallon containers. I started with a base of roots organic original, and added 2 teaspoons of earth juice, rainbow pro into the soil. I think the one gallons will make it three weeks in these containers but the half gallon is going to be cutting it close. Either way the plants are really healthy they are growing a little slow but that Hass to do with how cold the basement is right now lights on we’re sitting at 73° and sitting at 62.
About five days ago five days after transplant, I decided to top all of the girls except for the blue city chisel. She is growing the slowest and I wanted to wait all three recovered after two days and yesterday I decided to top the blue city chisel as of today. Everybody looks good it’s good color.
I transplanted the girls last week right before I went to Florida. I haven’t been home in a week but my buddy kept these girls alive. I had a little aphid problem. they seem to be gone. I found a straggler today, but only one, so I defoliated the tangerine and sprayed her down again she’s doing great. The blue city chisel on the other hand is growing extremely slow, but is healthy as far as the bully ape, they look like they are both males, I’m gonna give them another week just to make sure before I kill them off .
So it turns out the two seeds that my buddy made or male so we chopped them. Luckily, I had some more of the captains genetics so we are replacing those two with strawberry butterscotch. I had taken clones from a friend at the beginning of March. they are about four weeks old, Size wise they are definitely behind, but these look like they are going to be some massive stretchers
Finally chopped my other grow and will be able to get I. The flower tent in the next 10 days. Tonight I transplanted all the girls. The blue city and the tangerine dream are in 7 gal grass roots fabric pots. The soil is most roots organic original with some happy frog amended with products above and I did a layer of build a flower top dress and craft blend on top of all pots to get those feeder roots ready. I’m hoping to flip before the end of the month hopefully in 10 to 14 days
I fucked up the days last week today is day 31. I flipped the lights on 5–8-22 and it’s 6-9. anyways, the girls are looking great. I slightly overfed them about a week ago, and I got some burnt tips gave them their final top dress which consisted of a quarter cup craft one 4 tablespoons of diet green power bloom per container. Then I threw a flower on top of everything and some Kashi blend. Watered everything with recharge. They are finally starting to stack up and they’re done stretching.
Strawberry- huge stretch
Tangerine- average stretch
Blue city - small stretch
It’s been Two weeks since my last update. And the girls aren’t doing too well. The tangerine dream has had a rough go. I think too much runoff went into the base and totally threw the pH out of whack so I removed both the blue city and the tangerine took them out of the 10 them and cleaned out the bases have been watering them, trying to get them back in check.
The past two weeks have been a total heat wave over here. The highs and the tent 86 So I’ve put a heater in there to keep the nighttime temperature at 80. It is helping drop the humidity at night as well as keep the temperatures fairly close to each other.
Wish I took more pictures of her. Wicked good grow. She threw out some frosty baseball bats. Super easy to grow. She’s the only good plant to come out this run. Got a little more than 10 ounces off the earth box.
