Just cut the girls down last night! time to hang dry. Smells amazing, slightly citrus & gassy, very sticky! The stems are so thick I'm going to weigh them after I cut the buds off.

Plants seemed to love these nutrients. Having switched from Nectar for the Gods on my previous grow I found these plagron nutrients much easier to work with and much less time consuming. Great for beginners like myself.

Being only my third grow this has been my most successful. Tried lots of new things and am still tweaking my process. After hang drying for a few days they were pretty crunchy given our wood stove heat. I cut them off and weighed 2.15 oz off the taller plant and 22 grams off the smaller plant. Both now sitting in mason jars with humid packs. Opened the jars and can already tell they are much less dry than they were when they went it. Already smokes great, very strong earthy citrus smell, tastes great and the high is a nice relaxing euphoric feeling. Cant wait to see what its like after curing.

Hi there! Cool looking setup and plant you have here! A few things that I notice....first, you have a canopy that is pretty open -- you should not be having any issues with light penetration here. Second, I agree with Bulbi that you have a low output light. HIDs are great and often better performing than LEDs, but 150W is not a terribly powerful light. You might have better success with a cheap 300W LED in terms of coverage and output. If you want to stick with HID, you might want to consider upping your wattage. Thirdly, I notice in one of our photos that your room temp is around 72/73 degrees F. From adjusting my environment the past year, I've found that keeping your environment closer to 80 degrees F is usually better -- plants tend to respond better. You also need to balance out the light distance -- if you have a cheap laser thermometer ($15 on Amazon), you can check your canopy temps. I usually shoot for around 78 degrees at the top of my canopy. That will help you determine if your light is too close or too far. While 72 degrees F might produce a plant, it's not usually ideal temps for a plant that most frequently grows naturally in high temp places. I'd say adjust your room temp to get it a bit warmer, and look into a bit more power for lights. You could even consider getting some warm (~2700k) lightbulbs to help you get a bit more light for this grow. Best of luck! Let us know how things go!

Anyone have a guess to whats happening to the leaves on the taller plant? is it light burn or nutrient burn? or is it normal for the leaves to turn a dark purple when late in flowering? The short one is showing no signs of this & the only difference between the two is the height.

This was undeniably from heat stress! There may have been other problems making it worse, but overall try training the plant down with a method called Low stress training (LST) or topping to create multiple apically dominant stems for a wider canopy. Looks like the final results were pretty good however congratulation ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hi @Grow413! Yes the discoloration is a normal thing, the process of senescence is responsible for this. Now, your curling-upward leaves are not a normal thing, they are a sign of heat-stress, your apical summits were probably too close to the light, and/or your airflow was not good enough to protect those colas from heat. Congrats on your harvest ๐Ÿ‘Š

@The_Projexx @MUDBUG @mad_scientist So my problem with the light is that its already as high as possible in my tent. I could dim my light down from 400W to 250W if that will help? If not I'll try changing to a 10/14 light schedule and I'll bring the RH up a bit and see if that helps. I'm using Plagron nutes for coco but I've yet to purchase the Green Sensation since its a little pricey so when I went into flowering I just upped the amount I was giving them. @@@Athos I thought I was overfeeding as well since the shorter plant has the dark shiny leaves too but little to no yellow tips yet. So I've lowered the nutes and switched to watering every other day.. waiting to see if that helps. And yes I know, sorry about the lighting! Thank you all, I appreciate the advise. This site has been amazing!

@Grow413, how that solved your issue.
Grow413

@@Athos, I did a little more of that and it seems to have helped keep those buds from getting any more damaged. Leaves are slightly crispy but the buds fell nice and dense.

@Grow413, You can try dimming the light if you have a digital ballast other then that im not to sure , you could get a cool tube that will help alot , but its like 120 $ .

@bulbi @chi_town_white_boy Thanks for the replies! I'm actually using a 400W HPS light for my flowering. I currently have it dimmed down to 250 though. Should I up it to the full 400W? Also the height on these was a bit more than I was expecting ( you can see one is much shorter than the other ) that's the main issue I've been having, Ive bent them over as much as I can. They don't seem to be showing much signs of light burn.. there's a few tips of the leaves that are yellow but it hasn't progressed at all and its very minimal. The thermometer is right at the canopy height so I would assume its slightly warmer directly under the light but I'll have to get a laser thermometer so I can dial in the temps better. How much molassass do you recommend per gallon mixture? I've only done that for the last few feedings before harvest.

@Grow413, Another thing I want to mention is that what happened earlier on in the life cycle can often cause this. I had a plant (LSD-25, there's a diary on here of that plant) that I topped too early. It caused the plant to grow all funky -- very sparse. Yours isn't quite as bad as mine was, but I just want to mention that it might not be something you're doing NOW, but possibly something you did a few weeks back that caused it to stunt. Again, I think you'll get a decent yield off this. It looks like it's going to bulk up nicely!

@Grow413, yes for sure you want to be maxed out lux wise at this point just turn it up lol . Molasses is easy one tablespoon a gallon you'll be alright. just dilute it first!
Chi_Town_White_Boy
Chi_Town_White_Boy
@Grow413, The only thing about dialing it up is that, like @bulbi said, you want to watch out for heat. In all honesty, this doesn't look terrible for a grow. It will definitely bulk up -- all of the pistils look white. There's a lot more time for them to flower -- I'd say easy 4 weeks to harvest, likely more. You're going to see a bulking up next week. Your leaves all look green and healthy. It doesn't seem like nutrient burn is a problem -- so the ppm level is okay. There's no scorching or tacoing, is there? If there is -- and I'm not seeing it -- then you have a heat issue. If no tacoing, which is usually an earlier sign than others, then you're fine with heat -- no problem. It could be too cold, like I mentioned earlier. Lastly, while you dont have a light penetration problem, you have some MASSIVE fan leaves. You may consider removing some of the top most ones like that. I say that because it's using a lot of nutrients to sustain those massive leaves. By removing only a few (the massive ones), it seems to force the plant to focus on the buds -- or at least the rest of the plant. I think you'll get a decent yield off this. It may have stretched too much and you wont see long, massive buds -- but collectively you'll get a decent yield. Keep us posted! ๐Ÿ‘

hey there , they are a bit small, but I'm guessing the lights are just a little bit weak for them. Why not try upping the nutes a bit with some molasses and a bloom booster like mag sulfur. the substrate's a tiny bit cold , but still quite alright. Your lamp to plant distance is dangerously close, it could be stressing out the plant, you want to up that to around 40/50cm minimum. Just dial it in this strain picks up later anyway. Good luck ! ๐Ÿš€

So I turned my light up to the full 400W and that helped the temp get into the 80's. Ill monitor the temp of the canopy better once my laser thermo comes in. I had been trimming the fan leaves off all along but didn't want to go too far and stress them too much. I did top both of them during veg but I missed on the smaller one and ended up just deforming a few leaves and stunting the growth lol but the larger one I topped correctly well into veg. I also had spider mites in the beginning but I eliminated them 100% just as they were going into flower so I'm sure that helped slow them down. My previous two grows got to this point and didn't get any bigger and I ended up with small fluffy buds that were not great to smoke, hence my concern, but my set up was shit compared to what I have now lol so I'm definitely feeling more confident in these, they look pretty happy, Ill just have to be more patient haha I appreciate all the advice! Ill post an update in a week or so. Thanks!
