2 weeks in from when seed broke ground, roots are becoming established now so growth should start picking up, only grown autos previously!
Doing pretty well but she looks a bit to light green so will try upping the feed, waited a bit to long to add calmag so there are a few affected leaves on the bottom but they will be coming off soon and new growth looks ok, made a stupid mistake though and forgot when I'm using silicon I need to bring the ph of the water below 7 and add it in first before adding the other nutes, well I added the silicon last and ph was over 7 so no idea what's going to happen but no damage done yet!
Going ok, I topped her and took off her biggest fans as need to slow her down some as her sister is a mutant and growing real slow so hoping she will catch up
Going along nicely, both aren't really drinking much, have only needed to top up the res once all week, bigger girl has bushed up after her topping and haircut, she is now starting to grow vertically again, I will give her a heavy defoliation this week, mutant is still going along slowly but starting to grow some normal leaves now at least!
Stripped her fans and did a bit of training to try to keep the canopy somewhat level and to get more light to the lower branches, she responded well, will defoliate again tomorrow and then will flip next Sunday!
When I flip to 12/12 should I feed veg nutes, bloom nutes or a mixture of both, if both what ratio, I was thinking 1st week 70/30 veg/bloom and 2nd week 30/70 veg/bloom?
Did another round of defoliation and put a couple more bendz on to try get canopy fairly even, she responded well although I have just realised I've made a big mistake this grow, I swapped over to an air injection diffuser from air stones but I just checked it in the bucket and it looked fine to begin with but I haven't really been checking it and I've changed out the res once, anyway when I changed out the res at the end of this week I had some sort of brown sludge on my air lines which I've never had before and I guess it's some sort of algae, so I did the res change turned on the air pump and literally there was like 5 bubbles coming out the air diffuser so my poor girls have been sitting in stagnated water for god knows how long, shocked I haven't got root rot and they look fairly healthy but have been confused why they haven't grown as much as I am used to, changed back to air stones and there is a 10000% difference, hoping I pulled it back in time and I see some stretch and more bud sites over the next 2 weeks before buds form
Been in Amsterdam this week but the girls seem to have been fine whilst I've been away, have had to go to a sterile res as sure I was going to get root rot so didn't want to take any risks, added silver bullets to beat the plythium!
Still going, both girls seem healthy, had no stretch vertically, going to be smallest girls I've grown height wise which is strange considering there Sativa's although I have done a bit of bending but not a huge amount, expecting to start seeing some formation of flowers by the end of this week, can't wait to get this grow finished now and move onto the next as I have been asked by Spliff Seeds to do a journal for them and I have received some purple berry Kush and some cheese seeds.
Just trying to nurse these girls through to the end, will be happy to get through this one!
Although they look healthy above, below The roots are a brown mess, think it's under control now though and there are some nice new white roots and there isn't a nasty smell but solution uptake is so slow at maybe 1 litre a day, just have this feeling buds are going to stay like popcorn buds all over the plant but time will tell!
Anyway enough moaning, on a positive note my topped girl started throwing out pistils and is firmly in flower mode! Mutant girl is still in pre flower but I think in next day or 2 she will be throwing out pistils to!

@ChroToker I don't personally use Beneficial bacteria additives in my DWC reservoirs anymore simply based on cost effectiveness. If everything about your grow has been optimized from temperatures, airflow to humidity and you are looking to improve something then adding active microbial life in your reservoir can do wonders! However without an ideal environment the effectiveness of the microbial life falls drastically. On the contrary if you have an ideal environment and are adding C02 then microbial life effectiveness goes up even more! If you do have an ideal environment and are looking for a good DWC Beneficial bacteria then I recommend 'ReCharge". Long story short: In my opinion Beneficial bacteria should come 2nd to last in your environment and only when followed by C02 for the most cost effective results. Of course if cost effectiveness isn't a worry to you then microbial life is good for roots at all times! (just don't forget to do reservoir swaps) 😎 I hope I was able to help with your question ChroToker. Be sure to update us!
Mutant finally throwing out pistils although she is about a week and half behind the topped girl, both looking healthy as hell at this point so hoping for a smooth finish 😎
Did a bit of defoliation on both girls, there are a fair few bud sites so hopefully they start stacking and filling out but not sure they will after the root issues but even if they don't I can tell already it's going to be some quality smoke, the smell on the topped girl is pure sweet lemons like lemon drop sweets, the smell on the mutant is similar off the bat but rounds out at the end with a hazy smell so super excited what the next few weeks will bring, I think I still probably have roughly 6/7 weeks on the topped girl and 8 weeks on the mutant 🤓
Feels like this grow has stalled, flowers just don't seem to be getting bigger and there not filling out, seems like it's in slow motion lol.
Girls are very picky eaters and ive had to drop my EC to very low at this point as getting tip burn, not quite sure whether just to carry on as I am as they both look generally very healthy or if maybe I should flush them for a day to get rid of any salt build up as they are also both hardly going through any solution either so concerned I'm not going to get much bud out of this one 😪
Has my grow stalled, seem very under developed for this stage, the very tops seemed to have got slightly bigger this week but not by much but all the lower stuff has stayed tiny! There just not filling in at all in length or breadth, should I flush or carry on as I am?
Hi, ive been looking through your Diary and the Girls started to flower in week 11, that means you are in 3.rd week of flower. I think your Girls will need 7-8 more weeks in flower.. The only thing your GIrl need now is TIME. Nutrients by itself wont help alone. Its always the big Match of LIGHT, POTSIZE ( ROOTS) And TIME. Your LIghts are good, Potsize is fine. Dont overdo it with The Nutrients, save your booster , give it in 4 weeks . Happy growing
Still going, not really a great deal happening apart from both girls throwing out some frost, even the big fans leaves on the mutant are frosty! Photos don't really do it justice as just using my phone camera.
Smell in the tent is exactly like lemon sherbet sweets, bud development seems to have rather stalled and the buds are not particularly big, got some tip burn as I'm trying to force feed a bit in the hope of these buds filling out some more but my efforts seem futile lol, at least trimming will be a breaze!
Still going ever so slowly, nice and frosty and smells delicious! Hopefully some time left on the topped girl as I need these buds to at least fatten up a fair bit, mutant looks like she's got ages to go, minimum 4 weeks I would imagine.
Buds are just looking so delicious on topped girl, small but perfectly formed, gradually putting on weight and I still think she's got a good 2 weeks left in her, few cloudy trich's but mainly clear so still at a bit more weight to gain 🤗
Mutant girl has definitely filled in some more and tops look fatter, she has 3/4 weeks to go so still alot of time left to mature, this grow is turning out ok now despite my fuck ups 🤦♂️
still chugging along, got a few more cloudy trichs on the topped girl, I have bought down her feed now and will continue to, then I will flush for 3 days before chop, don't want to much amber on these girls as want that Sativa high so I think 1 1/2 weeks and she's done, well the tops anyway as I will be doing a staged harvest as mutant has got a few weeks left in her so I will let the bottom buds go until she is ready.
into the final stretch now, mrs tiny budz is almost done, I will start the final cleanse this weekend, she will get plain h2o for a week.
mrs small budz is a a couple weeks behind but hoping she will be done by the end of the month as I'm ready to move onto the next grow, will be over the moon to scrape 4 oz between the 2 plants, on a positive note though I think quality wise it will be the best I've grown to date so next grow I need to put it all together and get my previous yields combined with the quality of this grow!
wow these girls are just going on and on and on, still lots of clear trichomes, some more cloudy and 1 or 2 amber knocking about, if I wanted to I think I could run topped girl for another 3 weeks and mutant girl for maybe another 5 at this rate as both still throwing out new white pistils but I really need the space back now to move onto the next so I will be starting the flush on topped girl now and chopping next week, mutant will go for another 3 weeks max
decided to remove some leaves from mutant girl to improve air flow for last couple weeks, I was pleasantly surprised by how much bud was underneath, buds chunking up nicely now as well!
topped girl has got her fade on but still not enough cloudy trichs so might have to give her another week, this grow has taken a long time and will be 5 months by the time I'm done but I think it will be worth it as tent just smells so damn good
Ok so this grow didn't go accordingly to plan, I had root rot, the grow took absolutely ages and buds were small, well I finally worked out why! The voltage on my meanwell driver was turned down so I've been running the light way underpowered 🤦♂️ glad I found out though and sorted now for next grow.
