The plants have finished their second week of flowering. Most of the time we had fantastic weather, with temperatures between 20Β°C an 35Β°C.
In the morning, between 7am and 9am, the plants wake up in the growtent with 600 watt HPS light.
During the day the ladies enjoy the benefits of the natural light of the sun.
We had 2 days of less sunny weather. On these days they also stayed inside the tent.
I was suprised that the flowering came so sudden and rich. Saturday evening there were no signs of flowering. But monday morning when I returned after being 2 nights abroad, their flowers were already really developed . I have never seen such a fast flowering onset before.
I was not happy, when I discovered that my favorite plant#10 was a hermaphrodite (see picture)
I am also not so happy with plant #8. As you can see on the pictures, the leafs are strangely shaped and the flowering doesn't look good. She has the same problem as #11 and #12 which I removed earlier.
I took 2 cuttings of each plant (for future use) and removed some lower side branches.
The tallest plant #3 is 100cm high.
Usually the situation you described will not cause hermaphroditism by itself. It requires a combination of stress factors. If you got them all in time you should be ok though.
@DaGrowQueen, I am very pleased with your comment. I try my best, and it's very nice to hear from other people that they too enjoy my diary, as I do making it. Keep up the good work yourself. Wish you a happy grow !
@CANNASIM, . The greenhouse will be crowded with sweet peppers in some weeks.
These ladies will be placed under HPS light indoor. But with temperatures above 25Β°C I'll put them outside in the sun.
wow excellent content, have you found the royal cookies a pleasure to grow? I got some germinating next week, but I'm putting them up against th seeds French cookies in a cookie bake off lol! Your diary is awesome keep up the excellent work!
@JUNGLE_B4RNS,Final week in the greenhouse, I'll start flowering indoor under HPS and outdoor. I hope they will grow not much longer than the height RQS says .....
