Germination
I mixed the paper towel and glass of water methods just because. I had one of the Tropicana Cookines seeds damp off unfortunately. But I am seeing some vigorous grow from the little lady that survived. I will not be keeping her in the 4x4, when my Froot By The Foot is harvested, I plan on putting both this lady and the SE3000 in my 2.3x2.3 tent and use my 4x4 as a dry tent. I do have a new light on the way for the 4x4, but I will keep that a surprise. I have a few ideas on how I want to approach this "syganically" however, if anyone else has any inputs please feel free to drop a comment.

Smooth sailing this week for this little lady, she is showing some vigourous growth and loving the SE3000. I mixed 1 cup of worm castings to 6 tbsp of Home Grown and 4 tbsp Flower Girl into 5 gallons of Pro-Mix HP. So far only gave her unchlorinated water ph'd to 6.5. I am excited to see how fast she develops as it seems like she's moving pretty quick. Thanks for stopping by, liking and commenting! See ya growmies next week!

It been a good week for this lady but a bad week for me. Broken phone screen = barely any photos this week. She is doing phenomenal and her growth rate is exceptional. She's about a few days or maybe a week most from being ready for some LST. She'll also have her first top dressing and blast of nutrients in a handful of days. Thanks for stopping by! See ya next week growmies!

This week it is official, I have used both organic and synthetic inputs. I did notice she was starting to become a little defcient right around the time to top dress(Week 3). I think her issue was potassium. I have also been overwatering a bit, trying to get a handle on keeping the media moist, I think the wetting agent in the Pro-Mix is working as well as the worm castings. Other than that, I am really impressed with her speed of growth. To give you growmies an idea of my thought pattern on this grow, the first 3 weeks were just organic amendments. Top dressed with 1 cup of worm castings, with 5 tbsp of Home Grown and 5 tbsp of Flower girl and watered in with a light nutrient(syn) solution. Next I will water only roughly until my next top dress in 3 weeks in which time I will feed a compost tea. Thanks for those that stop by, like and comment. See ya next week growmies!

It's been hard to keep up with this diary lately. I am going to do my best, I have been bad at remembering to take pictures. A lot going on in life, new mycology journey and just started some photos, on top of everything else we need to do to live. She is starting to look a lot better, I am also a few days ahead of the diary. I think the hardest part for me is keeping the media wet without overwatering. I do think it's getting easier as this lady transitions into flower. I am glad I took the synganic approach, and I think I'm going to keep going with it in the future. I do want to find a cultivar that I want to keep and clone and do a side by side with organic, synthetic and synganic. I will work on being better with the pictures and uploading better quality content. Thanks for stopping by, commenting and liking. See ya next week growmies!

We are flowering and about a week away from our next top dress. Even with the slight overwatering she is doing great and seems to have recovered. Been watering roughly around the 6.5 mark, give or take a few points up or down. I am pretty stoked with how the synganic grow has been moving along so far. Both Dr. Earth and General Hydroponics have been working well together. I hit her again with synthetic nutes when I do the next top dress. I have also decided not to defoliate at all this run, as I didn't want to put any unnecessary stress on this run as I am still working out my personal synganic approach. I can not wait to see her pack on some weight and have some fat juicy Tropicana Cookies buds. Thanks for stopping by growmies, and see ya next week!

I know it's in the name, but damn these buds are fast. I can not get over how fast she is developing. The SE3000 is doing a great job, even in a 4x4, had plans to throw her in the 2.3x2.3 but started some photos and they're sitting in that tent. Still waiting on my heavy hitter LED to come in. I am super stoked about having the purple phenotype of this cultivar as it seems its a bit more on the rare side. With this as my first "synganic" run, I will say it has been fairly easy. I think I'll run organic, synthetic and synganic from here on out. I did top dress her this week for flowering 1 cup worm castings 6 tbsps of Flower Girl 4 tbsps of Homegrown And it was watered in with 1ml of CaliMagic per 1 and a half gallons of water 4ml of General Hydroponics Micro 4ml of General Hydroponics Grow 6ml of General Hydroponics Bloom Thanks for stopping by for another week growmies. Welcome back to another week and this lady is packing on some weight. The smell is intense, it fills the 4x4 like a dense fog that seems like you can cut through it. She is starting to pick up on watering frequency, instead of every week, she's been drinking about every 3-4 days. We are pretty much at the home stretch. One thing I am not super happy about is the heat, I have been dealing with some heat spikes as the weather begins to change. I honestly do not think she has much longer to go. Potentially another 2 weeks or so. The top dressing I gave her, roughly gives her flowering nutrients until about week 9. I am seeing a great amount of cloudy trichomes as well as some purple ones. With how fast she grew, I plan on keeping Tropicana Cookies by Fastbuds in my lineup. Thanks again for stopping by growmies and checking out my grow. Stay tuned for another week of sticky nugs.

The trichomes are looking next to perfect, one more week and she's getting chopped. I did wind up getting a calcium deficiency which I initially thought it might've been rust fungus, but after closer inspection there was no fungus present. She is doing amazing and smells super dank and sweet, with a pretty strong candy or syrupy smell. I am going to chop her on day 63 as the trichomes are mainly cloudy right now, and I am looking for a few amber. I noticecd how well the lower buds have also matured trichomes at a very fast rate. This synganic run as been fun, and I think I will continue to experiment with it. Thanks for stopping by another week, liking and commenting. See ya growmies next week!

The final week is here, she will be chopped on Day 63. I am still shocked that this lady matured so damn fast. I was expecting 8 weeks of flower even with the breeder stating it could be ready in 56-63 days and it is. This is hands down the fastest plant I've grown so far. I am super stoked to chop this beautiful lady with her purple nugs. I can not wait to smoke this one. I think I am also going to try out jar curing for the first time. I am also thinking that growing "synganically" might be the way for me. I do love the easy of just watering with organic dry amendments, but also love knowing I have some nutes I can soup up for the ladies if need be, I also can attest to the microbiology thriving with using the salt nutrients along side the organic. The key is moderation with the salt nutes, I only have her 3 feeds using salt nutes the whole 9 weeks and one of which was only calmag. I want to thank all of the growmies out there that liked, commented or even stopped by for a visit. I appreciate it all!

Growing her was very easy, she was pretty fast. Unfortunately I can't rate her that well, every single bud is larfy. I might consider growing her again as the bud quality is there.

Not sure if it's my fault or this particular cultivar, but every single bud is larfy, I was pushing somewhere around 900 PPFD, however I did test some of the bud and top quality is there so I can complain too much. I also hit my highest yield with her. I didn't run any silica this grow, wanted to compare and the one thing I've noticed is, silica does seem to prematurely harden the plant making it harder to train after a certain period of time.

Nice harvest. I have experimented with silica blast as well and found the same results, both pros and cons of using it. But overall, I do tend to run it on my grows as it makes the plants more resilient towards stress, heat, pests, ect.

She looks nice enough. Also silica should be given mostly at the start of flowering, as it increases trichome production. Tougher stems are necessary when they bend full of fat buds.
the end.
