Very happy with every Barney's plant I've grown and this is no exception. Idk why they get some bad reviews online. I have 2 moby dicks and 1 zkittlez og going now and they all look awesome
All 3 of my barney's plants look great. My early estimate is that this moby dick will be a 3 Oz plant
Alot of people are against super cropping autoflowers. Test a branch or two and see how they react. You can make some real monsters with that technique
Super cropping some tall branches. Think I had a calmag deficiency but caught it early. This Moby dick is a stretchy pheno, his brother plant is similar but a little more dense and leafy. Both look like sativas as they are supposed to and both look like heavy yielded.
I have been experimenting with Liquid Koolbloom by General Hydroponics on plants in the past with mixed results. Any thoughts on that product in general?
Its too expensive. The dry stuff is cheaper but its just a synthetic PK booster. They are all pretty much the same, IMHO more complexity for diminishing returns.
The belief that cannabis plants need a lot of phosphorus, however widespread, is not supported by scientific data which actually states that when in excess it significantly reduces the yield of the plants. I stay away from various supplements, I choose a good tripart and then I delve into Calcium, Magnesium, Silicates, Sulphur, Vitamins, Amino acids and possibly hormones (Natural, no carcinogenic chemical crap).
I'm getting yellowing and brown spots on leaves. Have been giving it 5 mL tigerbloom and 5 mL TPS cal mag complete. Recently flushed with 2 gallon distilled water with 20 mL fox farm Big bloom. Runoff was around 5.5
5.5 run off is way too high also of nutrient companies include grow feed in the flowering stage . The run offf should be around 1.5 max so you need to flush everything out and study the nutrient guide so your adding whats required for the correct part of the plants life cycle. Good luck
They lack Potassium. Question is, why? Off pH range, Mere lack of Potassium, or Over abundance of Calcium. All of those will cause what you are experiencing. All you have to do is find out which it is. You know how you've been feeding. Are you using too much calmag? Are you not providing enough potassium in your feed, or is your pH out of wack in your soil? Raise that pH. 5.5 is too low. And testing the pH of runoff is a really bad way to check your soil pH. The pH is manipulated by passing through the soil so what you water in, won't be what comes out. Keep your water in pH around 6.2, and eventually your soil will level off to around that value. Bacteria in the soil can manipulate the soil pH as well, if you are using it.
Fed Maxigro veg nutes 10-5-14 just to see what happens. Good results so far.
Leaves still yellowing and browning but that seems to have slowed down here on day 81. Buds bulking up nicely with a few orange hairs appearing
