The white stuff on my plants is a cal carb foliage spray. It rinses off after a good 30-40 hrs. It helps a lot. Not everything needs to be fed through the roots. I have 0 negative feedback. The Skywalker OG just keeps pushing out trichomes and resin all over. Plant is bent over on purpose obviously because if my light to plant distance. It helped 200%. Buds are super super white. Hairs starting to turn orange. Gonna start checking on the trichome heads for color the next few weeks. Northern Lights is also doing really well for what a mutant she was. Plant did not do well in veg and out of no where it started growing all crazy. I let her go and do her thing and just maintained what I had to. Buds are super super dense on this one. Can’t wait to cut these down and enjoy them once they’re dry and cured. Next is the sour wiz to go all out and produce some stellar cannabis. Next I wanna give a try at auto seeds. Hear a lot of great feedback about them and can’t wait to see the difference.

That is 100% the start of an infestation of russet mites/spider mites . This comes from the lack of ventilation and wet mediums ( in your case soil and fabric pots) There's many many many different way's to treat this problem . Firstly I would get some neem oil ( really cost effective ) dilute it with water and spray everywhere ! I mean spray the pots the top of the soil the base of the plants the walls of your growing space . The reason i say this is cause you wanna get rid of these little intruders as well as get rid of any eggs they have left behind , the oil will coat them and they wont be able to breath ultimately resulting in their deaths . The secondary thing I would consider if I where you is having a fan blow air on your fabric pots this way it will facilitate the soil drying up aswell as the fabric pot (perfect combo for nesting grounds if left super moist for long periods) You can try all the internet methods and the rest but I've been gardening for years and the method I just described to you above has never failed me! I hope this helps you on your journey to become a Grow Master ! -Happy Growing!

How do I obtain bigger colas on my flowering plants Skywalker OG and Northern Lights? Is it too late since I’m 5 weeks into flowering? Should I give it more phosphorus? What should I do for now and in the future? Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi @BloodBath! Unfortunately there's no 'magic-trick', only a combination of knowledge, good equipment, good care and much love. As you may know, cannabis plants are just like us: they need sun+food+water+air. If only one of these parameters is not perfectly adjusted, yield will be affected. You currently need to identify what parameter is wrong in your setup, I personnaly ran through some similar issue in the past, when I was growing with only 1 COB light above my canopy. After a few runs I identified the lighting as being my main failing parameter. From what I can see on your pictures and what I can read on the informations you shared, there are some obvious reasons for slow growth / slow bud fattening. 1/ Your pH is almost neutral, whereas you need it a bit acidic, try to stick to a ~6.2 pH range, roots will manage nutrient intakes easily this way. 2/ Your light is not big enough for 2 plants, I can see some dark spots all around the plants, coverage is bad, plants don't get enough light. Consider buying a second lamp or changing your whole setup for an efficient one (QuantumBoards or LED strips are one of the best options nowadays). 3/ Your feeding schedule is very weird, what schedule are you following? The solution you give to your babies shouldn't be the result of randomness, you must stick to a tested-and-approved feeding schedule, try to start with the manufacturer's schedule and divide the recommended doses by 2. If plants look healthy, slowly increase the doses. 4/ Your containers are small for photoperiodic strains, after 6 weeks of veg they could have enjoyed bigger pots, at least ~11 L / 3 Gals. 5/ Plants did spend a lot of energy into vertical stretching, probably because of the poor light penetration and/or a high plant-to-lamp distance. That energy could have been used in bud fattening and resin production in a perfect environment.... I really hope this will help you to identify what's wrong in here, we'll be here to help again if needed, so keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@BloodBath, yes you will increase light coverage + efficiency, unless room is really overcrowded. I would recommend to sell your lights and get some SMD powered led, LM301B diodes are showing awesome results and you will save money on your energy bill👍

@Mrs_Larimar, I will for sure. Gonna give a first try at auto seeds next. Grabbing a new germination and seedling set up so I can keep everything going all year round no matter what. Right now I only have a veg and flower room. Which is fine but I want all 3 separate so I can keep a detailed eye on everything daily.

hey man, there's a few things you can do to get fatter buds. First thing is to wait for the bud to get fat, simple as that : just wait and see another 4 weeks maybe more. The problem with apex dominance is that with the main cola so much bigger than the rest, it's difficult to measure where your light should be if you measure the top of the main cola or the top of the canopy. So what you can do is so called HST, you basically bend until just before a full a crack/snap the stem, sort of break it, then make a bandage with some duct tape. Seems crazy but what happens is the plant thinks it's being attacked and send energy to that part which will make it fat. Third thing you can do is so called "super cropping", playing with the light schedule (re-veg, then re-flower, re-veg then reflower again) and it confuses the plant so it starts to stretch, get big and it helps make bigger buds. Anyway what you for sure cant do is compensate with too many nutrients. think of nutrients like a bullseye not a status bar, you cant give too little cant give to much, but obviously nutrients do help. right now you're good bro so you don t want to over do it. What you can do though is add a chelation agent like enzymes or like humic and fluvik mix, that chelation agent is the magic juice that no one will tell you about bro - what it does it breaks down the nutrients so they become more available to the roots and helps get that fat bud you want ... hope this helps ! 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow,that’s a great answer too. I’ll invest in one of those jewelers loops to check the trichomes before I harvest. Thank you so much. Really do appreciate it.
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrow
@BloodBath, yo it's hard to tell, what i say is that you should basically add two weeks to what the breeder says it should take lol - but the only way to tell is to get a portable microscope 40x-60x minimum then check the trychomes, clear means not ready, milky means ready, amber means overdone, so you want to get the maximum of milky trichomes possible if you're looking for max THC. So based on an average ripening time of two weeks for the trichomes you can basically guestimate when it will be ready... i know this doesnt help, but it's the best answer i can give lol

@CRiSPrGrow,that’s exactly what I needed dude. Thanks so much!! How many more weeks do you think I have before harvest? Estimate roughly?

CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrow
@chronicthehemphog, 30x cant see the heads on the trichomes, 40x is minimum , 60x starts to be okay, and as BB said more than 60 is better.

@chronicthehemphog, I’m using the formline led 30x and 60x magnifier. Amazon has em for like 10-20 bucks. Great cheap useful purchase. I recommend I higher zoom tho. 60x is fine but if u really really wanna get in there, buy a 120x or something lol.

@chronicthehemphog, gotta purchase the right ladybugs through the right company. I just put some raisins and honey in there and they also repopulate.

get a bigger pot asap, be sure the growing medium is dry enough to transplant or if it's wet, carefully cut the cup into pieces then place it into the bigger pot. be sure to leave a same size hole to fit snug and after light watering and time the plant will be good! (Be extra careful with damaging roots)I also notice the lack of nutrients, picking up calmag with any nutrient line will work wonders and help the majority of indoor LED shortcomings
BloodBath

@chronicthehemphog, not a problem and thank you for the knowledge brotha. Plants are already looking way better in their 2gal pots. Root structure was crazyyyyyy!

facts, that's definitely a good indicator for upscaling, good looks on that. Damn I never knew micron bags could make all the difference
BloodBath
BloodBath
@chronicthehemphog, I did and it’s because of how fine the heads the are. Very very tight micron screen. By the way, I put them in new pots and holy shit!!! I didn’t expect the roots to be covering the entire bottom and sides of the cup. It’s only been 2 1/2 weeks.

@Mrs_Larimar,ya I got some neem oil and I already have a hypoallergenic filtered fan as an intake and a 4” exhaust fan connected to a charcoal filter. The neem oil should do the trick. I’ll check back in, in the next week with an update. Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar
@BloodBath,well no matter what kind of bugs that are neem oil is a good solution. And russet mites you cant see with eyesight^^ and do a combination of diamnatous earth and neem oil that helps, keep your soil dry and get a good airflow, did you read the helping site=?
BloodBath
BloodBath
@Mrs_Larimar, so after wiping down the rim of the pots last night, there is a lot less bugs. They aren’t on the leaves or the plant anywhere. They’re just on the outside of the pots. Getting different answers and do not know who is right or what to do.😞

Looking Like Plantlice.... You have several options to get rid of them. as they reproduce very fast try to get rid very soon. fastest version is to spray a Neemoil-Solution. ! teespon of neemoil into 1 l water and some dishwashing soap.... filling into a sprayer and spray all leaves upper and under!!! the leaves 1. Buy predator Ladybugs....... the larvae of the ladybug loooves to eat plantlice.
