03/17/2024 - Using 3 germination methods for this grow with 2 seeds each:
- Paper Towel
- Cotton Pad
- Directly in Substate
03/21/2024 - Watered with 40ml + great white
03/24/2024 - Watered with 40ml + great white.
Lights at 280 PPFD / 10"
Pheno #1 / #2 - Directly in dirt
Pheno #3 / #4 - Paper Towel
Pheno #5 / #6 - Cotton Pad Method
Changes that Worked
- The paper towel adjustments from growcast using spring water worked perfectly
- having a ph of water post germination of 6.5 worked for me
- Start with using mosquito bits in water so that you address problems super early
Lessons Learned
- Track the pheno # against the germination method, outside of #1 and #2, I lost track
- The "packing down" from Build a Soil did not seem to serve me well, stop doing that
- Track the day each pheno germinated with photo updates
- These were quite stretchy, moved the light to 12", kept PPFD in the high 200s (270-300) and lowered temperature to 75F
03/31/2024 - Have been bottom watering 40-50ml per plant every 2 days.
DLI ~ 25 PPFD ~ 380-400.
Will start supplemental microbes beyond Great White this week, with Mammoth P 2x per week
Great White - 1/16 tsp / 500 ml
Recharge - 1/8 tsp / 500 ml
Mammoth P - 0.075 ml / 500 ml
SLF-100 - 0.75 ML / 500 ml
4/7/2024
Tranplanted into 1g pots that I ultimately will take into flower. Leveraging a DLI from 30-38 depending on where you measure.
Phenos 2, 4, 5 made the cut.

MB from Growcast suggested that I might have a zinc deficiency.
After looking into it a bit more and chatting with the folks at Royal Gold, I should be using 6.0 as my ideal pH and not 6.3-6.5.
The theory is that the pH is too high and the zinc is not being properly received.
Fed this morning with 5.9 pH water and 330ML of water + fungi.
I'll have some Foop mist and Zinc spray coming later today, hopefully this gives them all a boost.

Last week discovered I had a zinc deficiency due to a ph lock out, where I should have been using 6.0 in this coco-based soil (confirmed with Royal Gold).
About 3 days since I updated this, used a foliar spray and will be adding this weekly this week.
04/21/24
Updated DLI to be around 45-50.
The plants have been struggling and I think it's due to bad pH, I recalibrated by pen to realize that it was a bit off.
Fully saturated media with new pH water and we'll go from there.
I used the budklips and ended up breaking some branches, so I'll stop using these in the future.
04/28/24
Struggling with zinc deficiencies and in general I think the plants are really hungry.
I am starting to think that using rice hulls with coco was a bad choice

Used a seaweed foliar spray and added some in my waterings now, which has been helpful.
Watering 300-330ml per day day per plant, which is serving me well.
M - Seaweed (50%)
T - Seaweed (50%)
W - Mammoth / Seaweed
Th - Seaweed (50%)
F - Seaweed (50%)
Sat - Recharge
Sun - Mammoth / Seaweed / SLF-100

Started to dryback, so watering 500ml every other day to force them to ripen
