Day 1 seeds are carefully placed in tray* Day 3 most seed sown is open and tails showing. Day 4 now all seeds have popped open. Most have grown two to three inches. One 818 & one Raz Deez seems to be duds :.( Still going to give them a fighting chance. Day 5 & 6 still have some personal stash crosses popping open and propping up. Entire line up of pro seeds (- one 818 & one RzDz) are about 6 inches total length ( from tap root to "cotyledons" or first leafs ) *However upon inspection one of the CC's 818 seeds in the pack was cracked and broken. Working that out now for replacement. ** Replacement 818 from cracked seed en route 😁

Day 8- not much action, rather just preparation. One of which is the transplant into net pots and relocation into the grow room. Also misted roots again in AM as well as propped seedlings that weren't upright and steadfast yet. Day11 - new seedling popped up yesterday, nice surprise. GZ s looking super healthy. The Raspberry Diesel has some long looking first true leaves. Well.see what they look like soon when they hit a nice growth spurt. Can hardly wait!

Commencing week 3/Day 15 on November 7th* My 🍋 🍰 (Lemon Cake) & 🌻💣 (Flower Bomb) cross stock/stash has been transferred into foam cups with Pro-Mix. Light water with spring water and misting and they look like happy babies under the same lights in my parlor/living room they have been under since being sown. After transplanting the personal stock; I moved the germination tray and dome along with the remaining GZs, BHs, 818s, and RD into the basement aka 'grow area' to acclimate: as this will be their new home. This basement is my hydroponic grow area and has a much lower ambient temperature - which is great for flowering - but can be tricky with vegging depending on how this winter 2018 treats us New Englanders. We shall see. Also the humidity is harder to control but I believe this year I am better prepared to manage optimally. So now in order to follow along I must explain this. I have separated the seeds doc from my own and the feminized ones I have paid for. The stats reflected in the diary that you will now see Will Follow the hydro setup but I will continue to explain in the comment section the soil grow up stairs stats. Day 15 my personal stock will remain upstairs underneath the 600 watt umbrella Hood that is dialed down to 250 Watts. (Which is shared with house plants). The lighting shedule here is 12/12. the intention here is to basically treat them as houseplants and be happy with whatever I get while I take note of phenotype variation and maybe hopefully I'll find a keeper or two 😄 They are now in one quart size foam cups of Pro-mix. the ambient temperature is 75 degrees and the humidity stays around 55. Day 15 my paid for/professionally bred seedlings were acclimated to their new environment in the basement for a little while and then transplanted into their new outfits: 3.5 gallon deep water culture (DWC) buckets with 6 inch net pots, lava rock medium and regular 2 inch airstones. These plants are under a predominantly T5 lighting with the exception of two being under T5 and a diamond series LED with flowering Spectrum turned completely off and vegging Spectrum dial down to only 50 Watts. The lighting plan here is to keep them under 24 hours for just a few days. Day18 the Gorillaz are beastly little things. They are growing the fastest and largest. The Boss and the Raspberry are close behind the GZ and tied for second place. The 818's still seem to be runt-like. Otherwise all in the hydro looks healthy. Also last night I put timers on so the plants are getting 16/8 (in the form of 8hrs on followed by 4hrs off. This happens 2x per 24hr day. Reason being that I've read the rate of photosynthesis peaks at 6hrs and then descends) lastly I've been PHing daily down stairs only making minor adjustments and keeping the PPM between 550-600 ppms Day18 the Parlor stock is still doing well also. I've noticed this so far as differences:. The leafs are smaller and darker then the basement strains. And there seems to be more stem growth, or maybe stretch. Otherwise these plants are rivals the others in size. Except for the 2 🍋 🍰 seedling that popped open almost a week after the others. Day 21Nov21 - the PH is staying nice around 5.8 for 3 days now with no minor adjustments. Removed all mini plant stakes (ie paperclips etc lol), little baby seedlings no longer need help staying propped up. Root hairs are poking out in every direction of Root Riot cubes, (see video) excited because once those roots hit the waterrrrrrrr 💣boom explosive growth! As far as growth goes all three GZ still in lead. I might even have one early starting purple💜 🦍 baby (see pic of GZ2 DAY 21) *This is day 15 from seeds being sown on Oct 22nd, not popped open and or tap root showing etc.

Commencing week 4: Day 22 on November 14th Day 22-ph'd back to 5.8x range from 5.5 to 6.1 It Day 23- added 5ml Clonex to each buck and ph'd. Ppm around 600-650 Day 24- added a little fertilizer salts for N mostly and then ph'd again. Ppm 750-850. Also turned on a few more lights as well as turned timer off to increase temps in lieu of pending storm. Also adding passive humidifier to at least help with the coming dip in humidity from snow outside. Day 25- pass few days are going well. Aside from a heavy dip in the temp and humidity last night (we have a bit of snow come already). Plants seem to be picking up the pace a little finally. Not much but A little bit which is great because it feels like I've been watching paint dry lol Day 26- plants are doing great. Seem to be happy 😄 despite or maybe because of the changes over pass two days. And..,.we have roots in water!!!!!! So far gorilla zkittlez2 and gorilla zkittlez3 both have a few roots in the nutrient solution. Now I expect growth rate and work to pick up soon. Hopefully the rest get their feet wet soon 💧 Day 28 last day of week 4 Nov 19 Some plants went from seedlings to "hardened off" this week nearly tripling and doubling in size as well as starting with the secondary growth. Some still a little behind. I've noticed all the Gorilla Zkittlez are simply growing much faster then the rest so far. And that out of the three GZ s one seems to be leaving more hybrid or possibly sativa (see pics) . Also one or two of the plants seems to have some funny traits like the Boss Hogg1 very purple and covered in baby hairs. Overall I am amped to see the growth in the coming two weeks and expect big changes 👍👍 Thank you all! who view, like, comment, follow, and support me. I swear it will be much more exciting grow soon!😎

Commencing week 5/Day 29: on Nov 21st Day 29 All is doing well now and a few more plants have roots in water but tomorrow is going to be well below freezing as well as the humidity has dipped very low Day 32 Still growing steady the cold temps and low humidity haven't hurt or slowed them down too much Day 34 Happy to say 6 out of 8 girls have pretty massive root masses developed in past week into bucket. I have been very lightly foliar feeding every day a slightly acidic low ppm solution. Lights were put back on timer since the temp and humidity are going back up I don't need the lights for heat. pH has remained steady for past two days in low to mid 5.8s. Is this too steady I wonder 🤔 I put on fans today today as well as under lighting LED strip. D35 Am check-in and all is going well. All 3 Gorilla Zkittlez are absolutely killing it, way bigger than the rest of the bunch. Although the 818 Headbands and the Raspberry Diesel are not far behind. Unfortunately both the Boss Hoggs seems to be runt-ish. One especially is really funny looking. But I always cheer for the under dog in the fight so who knows 😎 Turned off under lighting. Raised overhead LED Panels up 3-6 inches and re-oriented (angled) towards girls. *I've decided to break off the barely mentioned personal crosses into their own journal in the next few weeks in case anyone was watching or wondering, it's coming. I'll be editing this journal accordingly when the time comes to be more accurate and useful. Lastly I am adding a new journal today for "🍋🍰" aka Lemon Cake by Moxie. It's terpalicious 👅. super sugary and lemony on the nose. Does anyone from the US or elsewhere know what's "Country-Time" lemonade mix is?? It makes your mouth water and smells almost too much like the sugary lemonade mix. Stay tuned 💚🙏

The plants need 12 hours of UNINTERRUPTED darkness to flower, which means that something like 6/6 will not trigger flowering. What I've read about is something called extended light schedule: With a digital timer, you set lights for periods of 21:36 hours (21 hrs 36 mins) and lights off periods of 12 hours), this will give you an exact week that has 5 extended days (for a total of 33 hours 36 mins per "day"). The data I read states that the aditional light hours increases yield. Also important, going over 21 or 22 hours of light does nothing since there's a point where the added light reaches a saturation point and the plant can't use it. I havent tested it though

Commencing Day 36/Week 6 on November 28th D36 Still slow and steady growing. Some much more slow and steady than others. I am hoping by the end of this week or by sometime next week I can flip to 12/12 and get cuttings. My goal is medium/small size plants with medium sized yields and to hopefully 🤞 find at least one keeper of the bunch. Reason being I have a lot going on and want to see whats the best I can get with light work load. Bigger plants=bigger work loads. I also noticed the Boss Hogg1 must be Canadian 😄 one of the leafs is a maple leaf shape with no finger separation (aka duck foot mutation 🦆; see photo). This is the same plant I called a Purple Tarantula in one of the earlier weeks. Definitely a freak. Day37 Filled all buckets till water line was bubbling into net pot. Filled with oxygenated &(dechlorinated) house water. Added 10ml Clonex per bucket. Some needed pH but not much on .2 off from 5.8. ppm is around 800-900. Leaving lights on again overnight. (Cold front coming). Day 38 Added 5ml Cal Mag to each bucket. Added more fresh water to bring PPM back down to 800. pH sitting around 5.9 Noticed 818 Headband was hiding a tiny clover friend. I'll keep it there for now. Maybe find a four leafed clover for good luck 🤞 Also noticed that the sativas phenos are being picky eaters compared to the rest. Also noticed the 818 is catching up a little more. Definitely a nice healthy steady growth. Just quite a bit slower then the Gorilla Zkittles. Lastly tonight the plants will go into 14 on 10 off. This is to induce stretching (they are sooooooooo short; due to 8 on 4 off light schedule) and maybe preflowering also. Won't be long!😄👍 Day 42 Few days in the new light shedule is working great. Plants seem to be getting ready for me 👍 I've also switched the plants around to accommodate the grow a little better (ie in order of size) The 818's and Raspberry is catching up slowly to the GZ giants. (& looking great 😄) but man these GZs are thirsty girls, they drink the ppm and water levels in one day what the others take in 3 or 4. Needless to say I've been pHing everyday basically and adding water and light nutes to keep around 800ppm and 5.8pH. maybe only mentionable is that the GZs needed more nutes (ppms dropped about 200ppm to 600 in two days) and pH balancing (pH shot up to 6.2 in two days) than the others. I'm getting anxious to flip and cut. The GZs are right where I want them. The others, not yet. I'll have to find a happy medium where the runts are at least so big with out letting the GZs get too big. Thank you for reading and watching

Hi there @Green_Friends_Inc! The apical meristem (top bud site) uses Auxin to restrict secondary buds sites from developing in a process called Apical dominance. This allows for higher amounts of hormones to be delivered to the leading bud sites compared to the side-shoots. This is why we Top our plants!! By removing/topping the apical budsite you are turning the the next two stems into apically dominant sites leading to a more even distribution in Bud growth a wider plants. Topping is all about distributing the hormones equally to more branches as apposed to the single Apical bud site! Its a very good technique to use when trying to maintain a shorter bulkier plant. I know you aren't topping this cycle, but perhaps I convinced you for the next one haha best of luck friend! 😎

Commencing Week 8: Day 50 on December 12th Everyday they are growing strong 💪 Some are still being picky eaters and growing slower than the others. but All three GZs seem the most healthy along with one if the 818s that has caught up very quickly. I've noticed my stalks stems petioles leafs etc all are very thick and healthy, I'd be interested in "Brix" testing I haven't defoliated once yet but plan on very lightly trimming some bottom leafs and branches (for clones) because: I will so be sending into flower soon!!! This coming Friday I will turn lights off for 24hrs to initiate. some of you may have noticed the new set up. I have rearranged plants again to suit area/intentions. also I have borrowed lighting and made some changes, primarily trying COBs in my "main" grow space along with my trusty flourescent tubes

Clones and bonsai training. 818 already has pungent, awesome scent. GZ are still beasts. RD & BH have fantastic natural shape. D.61t/10f RDs Sativa growth is showing off now and stretching out as expected. looking beautiful. what she lacks in Veg State growth is definitely made up during bloom. hoping she fills in the holes of the canopy

Commencing Week 10 - 2nd week of flowering - Day 64 from germination - Day 14 of 12/12 on December 26th All is awesome! 😁 Although all plants have hairs right now, 818#1&2, BH2, & GZ2 (especially 818s) seem to start throwing hairs just a few days before the rest. RD is stretching out rather nicely and is working in sync to make a nice level and full canopy. Have noticed the pH of the nutrient solution now swings very low with every plant, especially the bigger ones, within 24 hrs going from 5.8 down to 3.8-4.3. I pH back up accordingly every day. Lastly I decided to go with "bonsai" training instead of topping. (This is in order to keep plants growing at a steady pace - non-stunting - while taking away the apical shape that is natural for some strains.). I "bonsai'd" The following: GZ1&2&3, AND 818#1. Simply put I coiled bonsai wire around the main cola and bent below the next lowest node /tier (see photos) The other s: RD, BH 1&2, and 818#2 have a natural level/close to level shape. D.65/15 Started tucking leaves and light stress training. So far I have taken only 3-4 leaves off per plant. And other than coiled the Apex cola they are been untouched. Also to balance out the pH drop, I have been pHing to the 6.0-6.2 range. Seems to steady the solution better so I will continue. Lastly I have put both the fans and the oxygen pumps on a 15m on 15 m off interval throughout the 24 hr day. I thought it might be risky however the plants seem not to mind, rather maybe even like this better. D.69/19 Yesterday I added a tiny bit of bloom food high in phosphate to help with the flowering since it's picking up now, as well as some extra Cal Mag and the plants seem happier because of it. And I have still been putting the pH a little higher, in the 6.1 range, rather than a 5.8 since it seems to be dipping low every time I check rather than going up. Also I put these pumps back on 24 hrs per day because after two days of being on for 12 hours her day they seemed not as happy as they were prior. Lesson learned with that one no harm done so that's a good thing. The raspberry diesel is really taking up the space wonderfully in between the four plants in the corners and is becoming almost + shaped really filling in the canopy just like the description online says don't vegfor long because the flower phase stretch is something to behold. 818 headband number one has a really beautiful medium sized stature not too short but not tall and lanky either and tons of Bud sites and is looking the most bud-filled already whether that means it will have the most yield or be done the fastest, or both we'll have to wait and see., All three of the Gorilla Zkittles seem to have slightly different phenotype variation one a little bit more sativa than the other two that are more hybrid looking. All 3 have very different root masses compared to the rest of the plants and are pretty big but one in particular is absolutely huge. (Comparisons will be posted in next week's update.) the Boss hogs also seem to have very different phenotype expressions as of now one is staying much more short and having a very level canopy naturally and no hairs, while the other is close to a level canopy but still has a little bit of that main cola dominant feature as well as a lot more hairs. Thank you watching hope your enjoying, the best is yet to come !!😁😁

Commencing Week 11 - 3rd week of flowering - Day 71 from germination - Day 21 of 12/12 on January 2nd Things are looking great in the garden. Everything is growing steady. The raspberry Diesel especially has been growing a little bit more than the others, which is exactly what the description online says it will do. The 818 headband AKA Sour Kush seems to be maturing the fastest. By this I mean it was the first to throw pistols and now it's the first to have visibly with the naked eye observable trichomes. Two of the Gorilla Zkittlez seem very alike as far as structure goes, however one of the two that look very alike has some purple reddish color to it in the stems and at the place where the petiole meets the leaf. One of the Gorilla Zkittlez (GZ1) has a different structure both in veg (it allowed for more LIght penetration because it was a little bit stretchier) than the other ones and now in bloom there are more budsites all of which are so much hairier and more sativa / hybrid looking so far. The other two have more of a indica / hybrid look to them. The PPMs are sitting in the 950 - 1150, and the pH is still set at 6.1 every 24 hrs usually from the 4.5-5.1 range. Day 72/22 Added 2ml of Clonex and 1/8 tsp of Kool bloom per bucket. Ppms still in 950-1150 range. GZ1 has visible trichomes on it, the other two GZs not yet. 818#2 has a hash tip forming. Plants looking suuuuuuper & seemsto have picked up the pace. Let's keep this momentum going👍👍 Day.74/24 This has been an exciting week. Everyday the garden is growing flowers and I'd be lying if I said that' not the point. I started to do some light stress training basically just spreading the branches to make for a more even canopy. I started with all three Gorilla Zkittlez since in my opinion, they needed it the most. After that I thought I was done because everything else has its own natural shape that is looking good and I really don't like to touch things if I don't have to: to learn what the plant likes to do naturally. For instance the raspberry diesel is naturally spreading itself out (and smells so freaking sweet and delicious right now by the way) with no help from me I literally do not need to light stress train any of RD because it reaches out for the light itself and gives itself plenty of room. How ever After sitting back and mulling it over I decided to light stress train (LST) 818 headband AKA Sour Kush#1. Wow. when spreading apart the canopy to let light reach into the innards of the plant I realized the buds are huge in places where light was not touching, going all the way down the branches already. Compared to everything else on the side of it so far 818 seems to have double the amount of calyx and flower plant material already and even triple the amount compared to raspberry diesel. Very excited to see the outcome of all of these plants and especially if this 818 continues to go the way it's going 👍👍👍🤩 Did I mention I like keeping things barebones, minimalistic, and simplistic? The least amount of work for the most amount of quality is always what I strive for, and when I find the balance between the two is when I have found my work (nugs) is the most rewarding. that being said 818 is sticking out in my mind as a keeper. however I should also mention that I am very picky when it comes to smell, taste, and experience (high/medicinal value etc)and those being the final factors we will have to wait to see whether or not this 818 sticks around. And that also means that all the other strains still have the potential to be keepers as well 😁😁 Hm, that's all I can think of for now to report as usual I will add anyting I can remember or any new finds along the way. Thanks for looking! and feel free to throw any comments or questions suggestions etc ✌️

Commencing Week 12 - 4th week of flowering - Day 78 from germination - Day 28 of 12/12 on January 9th Garden is going great! Only minor hold up is my pH and PPM meter has gone haywire today so I have one arriving in the mail tomorrow. I used one of my flower bomb males and crossed the 818 number one and the Branch with a wire tie. Seeds coming soon :-) "You can have change without progress but not progress without change" I am trying a new nutrients called Mega crop. Currently I utilitize a very sterile and all chemical nutrients solution that contains no enzymes no amino acids and no beneficial bacteria and I have gotten great results, and I enjoy not having to do much work, literally no swap outs in this grow so far has saved my water bills and my back. However as I stated there is no progress with change and in line with wanting to get better I am trying a new nutrient called Mega crop which contains many of the things that I have thus far stayed away from. Starting off very lightly and will see what happens either way I am anxious and excited for the next 4 weeks 🤩🤩🤩

Commencing Week 13 - 5th week of flowering - Day 85 from germination - Day 35 of 12/12 on January 16th Yes I am a few days late for update my apologies. Life. Garden is growing and things are changing for the better and I am very pleased. I've seen a good growth spurt happen in the past 2 to 3 days. It aligns with the same time that I let my plants go for two days while my water dechlorinated. Initially I was thinking that the plants were forced to drink the nutrients that were left in the buckets but after talking to a friend who's familiar with Ebb and grow style garden he said that maybe it's all the roots drying out a bit tricking the plants into thinking it needs to juice itself up for something. Idk but definitely food for thought. Some of the plants are starting to show hints of color All the plants are definitely swelling up a bit and feel quite dense when giving light pinches on the buds The odors are changing also each plant is becoming more unique smelling and what I think it'll probably smell like more when it's fully ripens and matures. Thank you for some love and support and as usual feel free to shoot me any questions or comments they're always appreciated😁

Commencing Week 14 - 6th week of flowering - Day 92 from germination - Day 42 of 12/12 on January 23rd D.98/48 wooooooooooooooooh this Garden is super stinky right now in a good way 👃💪👍👌👏😁 The colors are changing up beautifully signaling the end of life and the beginning of a whole new level of appreciation for these beautiful flowers 💚 - 💛🧡💜❤️ I'm currently under the impression that hydroponics can speed up production, (in my experience with organic growing growth is a little slower and as well as the ripening / muturation rate) so I'm may even be able to harvest a majority of this a few days early. There is also a few tricks I might employ in order to speed this process up. It's fine by me either way I can wait so we'll see 😁 So far this has been my first successful indoor DWC grow in quite some time and I am very patiently yet very anxiously awaiting the time when I can enjoy the fruits of my labor. at this point as long as I don't mess anything up it should be smooth sailing right up to the very end which is now what I am looking forward to the most coming up: the harvest and smoke report To all the breeders so I put in the hard work for for me and allowed me to grow their strains thank you! To all the fellow growers and enthusiast who have been paying attention and chiming in from time to time I especially appreciate you and thank you for your patience in dealing with my late updates. I promise my smoke report will be incredibly thorough and make up for your patience throughout the recording of this journal. As usual if anyone has any questions about any specific techniques I use or why or nutrient lines or strain related to this grow information please feel free to ask, comment, etc

Commencing Week 15 - 7th week of flowering - Day 99 from germination - Day 49 of 12/12 on January 30th Almost over now. Unless massive changes happen I believe most of the plants will be harvested in the next two weeks tops. (although some strains we're mentioned online as being 10 week strains 🤔) I'd say for about a week now the plants have significantly slowed / stopped taking up nutrients. I say this for 2 reasons: 1 is I have not fed them in days, and 2 is because my ppm meter has not showed a drop like it used to, now it seems even the pH I is barely fluctuating as well as the water consumption has slowed to a crawl. I wonder why, natural mechanism or nutured by factors of environment and /or nutrients uptake?? hmmmm 🤔 On days 100-101 (days 50-51 of flowering) I Did the last trimming I expect to do until the final cut and trim. At this point all fans are removed and only maybe last 10% - 25% of leaf matter is left on the plants. Thank you to all the breeders, readers and everyone in between. As usually feel free to leave some love and / or questions. 😁😁
