Well it’s week 6 and things didn’t go well since I increased the nutes. I ended up with burnt tips and stunted growth plus I guess the fimming at the same time was too much for them. They are doing much better after 2 feedings of just Ph adjusted water. I will do the same this week to see how they do. It will be a few more weeks before I put them to flower. The new clone needs more time. I also added a small space heater to maintain a 70 - 78 temp and The humidity is between 40 — 60. The CO 2 is still bubbling away, not sure what the readings are though. Any suggestions or comments ?

Grow Questions

Hello, There are copper coloured spots on many leaves on one plant. I have tried Foliar spraying with magnesium. But it doesn’t seem to help. There is a bit of purple in the stems as well. I gave them some cal-mag, but still there. A few fungus nats. Gave nematodes 2 days ago.

Hey there steelhead, i see your spots you mention as well as the slightly red stem, however you're feeding the plants a nice lineup...so sometimes i wonder either its a too low does, or somethings not being absorbed. With all the nutrients they have an ideal range where they're absorbed, such as calcium can be taken in from a ph of 6.5-9.5, but others may be absorbed better at 6-6.8. I thinj this is why they suggest we all aim at having the ph between 6.3 and 6.8 so that way were happily meeting them all in the middle. I see your ph at 6 and probably thats not so far off to cause catastrophe but may perform better a touch higher. There's also the problem of nutrients cancelling out others if 1 is too high, like magnesium will cancel out calcium if their ratio is off. So I'd say either try increasing your dose because maybe the plants are eating a lot, or try to adjust that ph slightly. Ive heard several places mentions to be careful about using several different bottled companys, that sticking with just the flora line would help reduce the risk of staking and bad interactions because they've designed most of the products to be used together. I found this out slightly last summer when i used fox farm and remo together, it just didn't seem to be as compatible as sticking with 1 or the other. Happy growing and good luck tackling the various challenges that we all seem to face. ✌️

Oh man that is heart breaking. I'm sorry for your loss. We're all here for you and many of us have also got some horror stories. My first grow went sort of well but they dried way too quickly and when I went to give them a little squeeze they litterally crumbled to dust. I had to sweep my harvest off the floor. Live and learn! 😢

@BloodBath wrote “This is one of those problems that everyone is going to give you a different answer. All of them being right usually lol” That’s because we just don’t know for sure, do we? We have theories that appear to work for us, but we can’t speak to another’s experience definitively. Purple stems have always seemed meaningless to me, as often sprouts with only one true set of leaves are purple, and they can’t possibly be malnourished. Enjoy the process. Enjoy your harvest.

@growdoctordc, I think that within time and practice we will all become true masters. Each in our own environment where we know what works and what doesn’t. We can all help someone, but that individual is going to find the real answer themselves.

everything looks good well I can't really say much cause I just started growing marijuana but I do grow other plants and with the nutes if your giving them weekly give them in 1/2 or 1/4 strength until full flowering stage if you're not using organic nutes. I'm sure you know what plants needs in the current stage of growth. N-P-K N=green growth like leaf and stem P=flowering and fruiting K= root growth and blooming. in veg you want to just give them like 3-1-2 and for flowering, you want like 0-6-6. those are just examples but something you can work around. also i recommend using organic nutes! its better to feed the soil so the soil can feed the plants :D but organic nutes smells funky.. so idk.. hope you have a nice harvest!!!

Im sorry for your plants. I destroyed 1 this last week too...but it was because of my not paying attention and being in a hurry. This ozone stuff, they make alternatives to carbon filters right? Any chance you'd put a pic up of what you used?

Looking good so far brotha! I would suggest starting to use CalMg now tho in the third picture it is very clear your plant needs CalMg that's the yellowing you see in your leaves if you let it go to far those leaves will dry up they are still save able tho :) Another thing i might suggest is that you put them in a big pot so the roots expand like crazy ! They're looking pretty big for that little cube haha ! Other then that man looking really nice keep up the good work and you will have yourself some nice medine . Best of luck to you on this grow and the many more in the future -Happy Growing!
