Extrudat Absolutely my very first grow in my life, thanks Lauterbach! 😘
Now just a Döner price brake so the munchies don't get too expensive! 😋
Jokes aside, this is actually my very first grow. 👏
We're excited, let's see what happens. (what happens!)
__________________________
📅 Day 1-2: not much happened. Let the pellets swell, each pellet got a mix of 23ml seed booster & 23ml water. (so 1:1)
📅 Day 3: GG#4 is the first to see the light of the world 👋
📅 Day 4: Gelato is coming up too 😍 But what's going on with Dark Devil?
When the pellets were swelling, a massive hole formed in the middle, and the seed fell too deep in.
The seed germinated without any problems, but the soil on top was probably too heavy, which is why it spiraled up in the "tube."
I then simply cut off about 1cm from the pellet and carefully lifted the little seedling to "daylight" at night with tweezers.
After it could finally breathe, I let it stay curled up in the air and let the morning sun do the rest.
📅 Day 5: Lo and behold - my approach was absolutely right! Dark Devil is standing tall and is on par with its siblings! 😍
Let's see how they do in the next 2/3 days! For now, let everything root nicely and re-moisten - so the pellets don't get too dry! 🙌
📅 Day 6: Carefully removed growth & "skin" around the pellets with a fresh disinfected razor blade, so the roots don't need too much energy to break through.
Gelato is currently the biggest.

Extrudat 📅 Day 7: Soil was very dry in the morning, so I watered again.
📅 Day 8: All plants are growing quite evenly, I lowered the lamp from ~50cm to ~30cm on a friend's advice.
📅 Day 9: Growth. The 30 cm lamp distance was immediately raised back to 50cm, looks like the leaves are slightly bleaching 😭
📅 Day 10: Repotted, I'm starting to notice more and more small "white spots" on the Dark Devil.. need to keep a closer eye on it, all plants were watered.
📅 Day 11: Growth.
📅 Day 12: All plants watered, Dark Devil seems the weakest, even more white spots?!
📅 Day 13: Dark Devil - spider mite infestation! I turned all the little plants "upside down" and checked the underside of the leaves. Dark Devil had 3 small spider mites on the underside of the leaves, one of the "cotyledons" even had very slight spider mite typical threads underneath... Ouch. Carefully removed all pests by hand, ordered neem oil, gently wiped all leaves with my finger to remove any potential eggs.
📅 Day 14: Watered all plants, Dark Devil has fallen over and can't stand on its own anymore - I guess I wasn't careful enough. I hope it pulls through 😴 Aside from that, the other two look healthy, but the stem isn't really thickening? Not enough wind?

Extrudat 📅 Day 16 - Watered again, otherwise nothing new.
Also, no noticeable new infestation of spider mites on the Dark Devil.
Plants look healthy, humidity fluctuates too much since the humidifier isn't here yet. For now, everything is being managed with wet towels and pots. Should arrive by Tuesday.
Water pH: 6.45
📅 Day 18 - Watered again, plants are thirsty.
DARK DEVIL looks really stunted compared to the others, but no signs of deficiencies or anything, well, it came last and had a rough start, just have to wait and see. It's basically 1.5 days behind.
I was bored and just experimenting a bit, which is why I decided to FIM the GELATO, probably not the best decision of my life, but oh well. Let's see what happens.
GG#4 is doing really damn great compared to the other two! Nice and bushy, I should have topped/FIM'd it, I have as much time with it as I want. Maybe next time after I see how the GELATO recovers.
Water pH: 6.4
📅 Day 20 - Didn't water, probably tomorrow (Day 21). Also, LST on all plants.
I think I messed up the FIM'ing on the GELATO? "FIMMU" if you will? (Fuck - I messed up, messing up). Side shoots are growing really well though.
I also FIM'd the GG#4 today and topped the Dark Devil.
Some leaves have a few discolorations because the humidifier blasted the humidity to 99% at night (the exhaust wasn't set strong enough) and a fan broke because of that.
Of course, when I checked in the morning, there were some droplets on the leaves that probably left some visual damage after the light burned in a bit.
Sorry my darlings, daddy didn't mean for it to happen :(
I think you can tell there's a beginner at work here, but I'm trying my best based on the things I think I've "learned" from reading.
I'm curious about the outcome and looking forward to every result.
Because, as they say, you learn from mistakes! :)

Extrudat 📅 Day 21: All plants further tied down/re-staked after the shoots got longer.
DARK DEVIL: Looks like it has deficiencies despite the Plagron - Terra Growmix :( Now I'm just wondering if it might just be light burns due to the high humidity that one evening? Unfortunately, my Cal/Mag from Plagron won't arrive for a few days.
📅 Day 23: All plants further tied down/re-staked after the shoots got longer.
DARK DEVIL: Topping is showing its effects - lower side shoots and 2 tops are growing.
GELATO: FIMing on the Gelato seems to have really messed up as announced on day 19?
GG#4: FIMing seems to have messed up here too? I'll take another look at it in the coming days, if it really is messed up, the little one will be topped after some rest time.
📅 Day 26: All plants further tied down/re-staked & defoliated.
DARK DEVIL: Topping went smoothly, about 1-1.5 weeks left until auto-flowering. Side shoots are also coming in great.
GELATO: FIMing on the Gelato went so-so, in combination with early LST it probably would have gone better - but I'm trying to make the best of it now.
GG#4: FIMing went "a bit better" here (?) since LST was almost immediately applied. Side shoots are growing wonderfully.

Extrudat 📅 Day 29 - Plants further tied down, watered.
GELATO: Defoliated. After the FIMing, the little one got really bushy in all 4 directions. A few lower leaves barely got any light - I removed those.
DARK DEVIL: The little one has developed a strong stem, LST is also showing effects at the nodes (thickening/knob formation on the stem). The 2 new tops are growing as well, just a bit slower. Overall, the Dark Devil is really underdeveloped compared to the others. However, as mentioned, it is generally 1.5 days behind, and when I look at other grows of this strain, it seems to be normal for the genetics.
GG#4: What can I say, she's doing really well. The little one is bushier than a porn star in the 80s. LST works wonderfully here, I can direct all the side branches to grow in the desired direction. As soon as the 2 autos are finished and go for drying, I'll put the GG#4 on the balcony in the summer or gradually acclimate her, since she's feminized ;)
Water pH: 6.9
Drain pH: 6.4
I intentionally left the water pH at 6.9, since the little drain water that came out during the last watering had a pH of 5.56 (?!). The drain water that came out now (a little) had a pH of 6.4 - 6.5 - 6.3.
PROBLEM: Sometimes I'm just an absolute klutz and a bit too hasty - I've already broken off 4 side branches in total, spread across all 3 plants. Some were just (still) not stretchy enough, and I overstretched them :( For my future self: Just be a bit more careful, you silly nut.
Onward! ;)
📅 Day 31 - Plants further tied down.
DARK DEVIL: Man, this little one is really giving me a hard time, new leaves are all very thin - maybe just because she's about to flower? Also, the tips have slight clawing, all since the last watering. Maybe the pH really isn't right for her? What could it be? I'm a bit at a loss :(
Rest: no major changes.
📅 Day 32 - Plants further tied down. Pruned.
DARK DEVIL: Flowering phase begins! 🌹
GELATO: Also just before flowering, slightly pruned.
GG#4: Pruned, further tied down.
Overall, not much change from yesterday, I just wanted to catalog the flowering of the DARK DEVIL 😻

Extrudat 📅 Day 36 - Flowering time is quality time! All plants are tied down further.
DARK DEVIL: This time seriously pruned to pack more power into bud development.
GELATO: Same
GG#4: Still on normal feeding like the last few weeks. It's obviously not in flowering yet.
"Finally" it's time, my first plants in flowering!
They all look strong and healthy, Dark Devil has a few lighter tips - not sure why?
Watered yesterday, on day 35 (unless I miscounted?)
PH value everywhere around 6.3-6.5.
📅 Day 39 - LST, super light defoliation
All plants watered, GG#4 probably a day too late. The big one is thirsty AF
DARK DEVIL: Already showing a really even bud development! I'm excited for the harvest 👽
GELATO: Irregular bud growth thanks to "failed" LST (not all at the same height)
GG#4: Growing, just probably watered a day too late :(
PH value everywhere around 6.3-6.5.

Extrudat 📅 Day 42 - Watered all the plants. Removed a few leaves (a total of 12/13) that were blocking light to the respective buds. No nutrient deficiencies or anything noticeable, everything looks really good so far.
📅 Day 43 - Took photos.
DARK DEVIL: I was most worried about her because she seemed a bit "underdeveloped" compared to the others. Now the little one is absolutely on the rise and has been fully in bloom for about a week. Beautiful purple buds are developing there! 😩😍
📅 Day 46 - Watered all the plants,
GELATO: Adjusted LST and left a bit more space between the buds.
GG#4: Growing like crazy, she wants to reach for the sky, but I need to make sure I leave one half of the tent completely for her.
DARK DEVIL: Everything is good, buds are developing wonderfully.
pH value: 6.2-6.3
EC value runoff: ~1800 after flushing
Rest: Doing incredibly well.

Extrudat 📅 Day 61 - I'm FINALLY back home and gave all my babies a little trim since they grew like weeds while I was on vacation... which is basically what they are, but... you know what I mean.
All the plants look solid & were watered 😍
DARK DEVIL: Everything's great, some buds are as thick as a 5-year-old's fists - I'm just unsure if I should flush them now or give them another week. 😈
GELATO: Takes noticeably longer for bud development, but that's how it goes.
GG#4: Once the two autos are done and in the drying cabinet, you'll be severely defoliated and then two days later, it's bloom time for you! ;) 🙌
Also, I tied her down so the side branches grow to the same height as the tops, even canopy and all - you know what's up! 👻
She was almost 65cm tall when I got back and has caught up to the other two by a long shot... shocking :D
The bigger pot is also arriving by Thursday, and then GG will be repotted into 30l... lol
📅 Day 63 - What can I say, pictures speak for themselves.
DARK DEVIL: Dude, she's really packing on the weight. If I had let my colleague trim the leaves in week 7, the buds would probably have gotten even fatter. 😻
But whatever, she did an amazing job and I'm grateful for every second invested!
GELATO: Coooooooooooooming.
GG#4: Growing like crazy, the 30l pot arrived today... man, this is something. This is going to go so wrong 😂😂😂 she's definitely going to fill the whole tent 😂
Honestly, I don't think I'll fill the 30L completely. I think I'll max out at 20-22l.
It's going to be insane.
Also: For being an absolute beginner, I'm really damn satisfied with how everything is going.
Honestly, I don't think I could have done it this easily without all the Plagron nutrients/soils.
I watered a bit under the suggested schedule since they're autos (and not bikes, lol) - and that's working perfectly.
The Dark Devil actually needs a bit more Cal/Mag than my filtered tap water already provides, so I just added some by feel. Every two weeks, the leaves would show signs of Cal/Mag deficiency and that's when I added it.
Anyway, PLAGRON FTW!😻🙌

Extrudat 📅 Day 66
Nothing exceptionally new. Watered, no signs of deficiencies.
DARK DEVIL: Starting to fox tail a bit? Temperature the last 2 days around 27/28° in the tent. - I've raised the lamp now and I'm letting the fan blow directly from the bottom up at the lamp.
Also, I've been flushing the plant since Saturday and only watering with filtered water.
Since then, there's been a noticeable thickening of all the buds, and you can see a lot of new white hairs!
I actually thought she would only need until this Sunday (16.06), but looking at the trichomes, it’ll probably take at least another half week!
I'm excited and can hardly wait.
Breeder's guideline (Sensiseeds): 9 weeks from germination to harvest. I have to say that the extra week is doing her a lot of good in terms of bud development and ripeness.
GELATO: She's doing well, slight nutrient burn - next time I'll only water or flush a bit, probably just salt buildup at the bottom.
GG#4: Defoliated 2 days ago and tied down further, the little one is filling the whole tent.
I can’t wait until the Dark Devil is done and I have more space in the tent, I'm curious to see how she will develop. :)
🕐 TIME CHANGE TO 14/10, THEN TOMORROW TO 12/12 - GG#4 GOING INTO FLOWERING
Buds: Oben kompakt, seitlich etwas arg luftig.

Extrudat I have to say, I was pretty scared at first that it wouldn't make it... but wow, it really did! 😻
Stable strain, easy to grow - and I'm saying this as a complete beginner. I didn't stick 100% to the Plagron plan - and still had no problems with her except for a few Cal/Mag deficiencies.
Color: Beautiful
Smell: Mediocre
Buds: Compact on top, a bit airy on the sides.
It's probably because I couldn't defoliate on time due to vacation. (See week 7/8)
The plant isn't technically harvested yet, but after this little photo shoot, it's going into the dark room for 24 hours and will then be hung up to dry tomorrow evening.
