Germination happened after four days on a heating mat in a propagator. Because temperatures are still quite low in Germany I am starting indoors, but will change to my greenhouse in May. I am very much looking forward to growing and trying this classic strain!
Growth is very slow. She probably had a hard time surviving the transfer into her pot. I hope she will pick up speed in the next days. I have the SanLight at 20% (40W).
The lady is growing slowly but surely. I hope whe will accelerate growth in the next weeks. For now she remains in my grow room. Maybe I will transfer her into the greenhouse in a few days.
The plant was in the basement at night and in the greenhouse at daytime. Slow growth in height, but she is building a lot of new leaves and nodes. Quite typical for an auto, I think.
The growth has been explosive and the structure is perfect. The plant is outside or in the greenhouse depending on the weather.
I had to fight a major attack by thrips and gnats. I manually treated every leaf and flower stem by rubbing of the insects and spraying them with CannaCure from every side. Also I applied nematodes to the substrate. The lady looks much happier now. This will not be a big problem going forward, but I learned an important lesson: Every day counts when these little devils attack your precious lady.
The plant is in pre-flower. It has continues its growth, although due to less sunshine less vigorously. It also showed some signs of overwatering and overfeeding, so I will only feed her every three days with a liter of water. The structure is quite airy and I see quite a few flower stems developing. Let us hope for more sunshine in the next days in Germany.
White Widow Auto is in full flower. She also made another jump in height and is now at 76cm. The flowers are mainly developing on the main stem, but there are also some side stems coming up. Compared to the size of the plant, the total number of flowers is a little disappointing, but I am spoiled by the performance of Cosmos F1. The environmental conditions were ideal. We had a lot of sunshine and less rain last week in Germany. I put her in the sunlight at day and in the greenhouse at night.
The lady grows her buds nicely. The weather was less nice, though, so I kept her in the greenhouse for most of the week. We have ideal conditions ahead in the next days so I am curious how fast this lady can run.
This week the conditions were ideal. A lot of sunshine, warm temperatures. As in the last week, White Widow Auto was in the garden at day and in the greenhouse at night. The buds are fattening nicely. I will feed for another week and then give her only water for another one to two weeks.
White Widow Autos buds are fattening and sparkle with resin. For an autoflower I am quite happy, although the number of lateral buds is not as high as for example of the Cosmos F1. The weather was rainy and colder again. Therefore, I kept the lady in the greenhouse for most of the time. Next week I will stop feeding her and start to give only clean water. The trichoms are already quite milky.
Update July 8: I discovered mildew on the lower leaves. Damn. I cut off all the lower parts of the plant. I should have done that much earlier; lollipopping seems like a good idea in a humid and warm "summer" like this.
White Widow Auto is maturing her buds nicely. The weather conditions were bad again, high humidity, rain and only a little sunshine. Therefore, I kept the lady in the greenhouse. I am checking for bud rot regularly, but other than my Royal Creamatics this lady is not affected. Today, she enjoys the sunshine outside. With good weather ahead in the next days, I hope she will get a final push. The trichoms are mostly milky, but the plant itself is still green. I want to cut her in a week in time before my holiday.
The lady was cut yesterday on day 96. Unfortunately, it was heavily affected by mildew, which I only realized after cutting. The lower parts cut not be saved. From the upper parts I trimmed a total of 39g of flowers, enough for tasting this strain. My vape report will come after drying and curing. The smell is citrus and fresh, not too sweet; I like it!
