Hey everyone, I hope all are doing well and staying safe!
I am back after my hiatus I took after winning the Dutch Passion grow contest last year, I decided to use the generous price money to purchase a bunch of seeds I would love to grow, this was one of them.
I have never grown SSSC before and really wanted to grow some Strawberry Cough, I love trying breeders I have never grown before that's why I landed on Strawberry Cookies (Strawberry Cough F1 x Thin Mint Cookies).
My pictures always include some context text, so make sure you browse those if you're interested in following along.
The seed was dropped into a shot glass of 1% H2O2 on 04/18/2024, she germinated on 04/20, perfect. I transplanted her into the bucket, which is a modified Growrilla Oxyring growbucket, I just added an airstone.
She spend a few days under a dome with the light setting as low as it went, she's picking up speed now but we're almost at the end of week 1 and honestly the growth is a tad slower than what I'm used to, I bet this is because I transplanted super early, the environment change shocked her a bit.
I planted 2 seeds but only one actually sprouted, the other germinated but snapped in half when trying to emerge through the rockwool, first time this has happened to me, perhaps it was a little too tight. I always intended on only keeping one plant, so it worked out.
You'll notice HOCl in the nutrient list, it's essentially chlorine I use to keep life in my system to a minimum, I don't have a chiller so I rely on this with great results.
I am aiming for a short cycle this run and I will still be scrogging starting late veg.
Hope you guys tag along for this grow
