First week of vegetative growth has started! Not as fast as I would like it to grow but I see some development.
Day 1: Soil is still moist from pre watering so no water and no feeding.
Day 2: No water, no feeding.
Soil has a green layer on top, think I pre watered way too much. Will have to let it dry out completely before next watering and feeding.
Day 3: Soil was finally dry. Removed the green layer and gave 200ml of pH'd water to 6.3 with a little bit of root juice.
Day 4: No water, no feeding.
Growing slow but steady.
Day 5: No water, no feeding.
Plant got some nice new growth.
Day 6: No water, no feeding.
Day 7: No water, no feeding.
I think I overwatered a little bit. But still the plant is growing quite healthy.
Really happy with the first week. No bigger troubles occured and the plant looks happy.
Happy growing everybody and stay tuned for next week! π±
@Sonic27, Adding some more things that are important in my opinion:
- first plan your layout, then start training
- don't top too early: side branches need some substantial growth and the main stem needs to be thick enough
- same applies for side branches (in this diary I was too early for example)
- be gentle when applying LST
- don't use thin wire for LST, it can cut into stems that break when they grow further
- when stems don't properly bend, give them a slight pinch, that way they get softer
- don't cut off too much plant material (as stated earlier)
Hope this helps. β€οΈ
@Sonic27, Thank you!
I am a noob myself π. People have different preferences when it comes to mainlining. As you can see in the pictures I kept most of the fan leaves, at least for a short time period after doing a cut. Imo that is important so the plant can do photosynthesis. Other people sometimes cut them off which looks kind of cool and clean but could stunt the plant more.
Best way to learn is to try it yourself. Then you will see what works best for you. Best of luck mate! π
