I'm starting on day number 8 as I just found out about this neat website; unfortunately I'm lacking images of the first couple days. This is my first time grow so please feel free to give me some constructive criticism. Full disclaimer- I don't smoke weed as its strictly prohibited in my industry. My parents use cannabis for pain so I do have a motive for this grow. I've also had a weird obsession with coral reefs and botany so I thought I'd give this a shot since Cannabis has recently been legalized in Canada. The previous plan was to grow two plants in coco and one in DWC; however, I changed my mind on the DWC due to the high probability of developing root rot. I decided to grow organic using Gaia Green fertilizer after watching a couple of Mr. Canucks Grows on YouTube. I work away from home for days at a time so the main goal for this grow is to make it “wireless” or basically accessible from WiFi. I’m using a WiFi plug which is connected to a pump which feeds water from the reservoir to the plant. I've also set up a 1080p WiFi camera inside the tent so I can hopefully check in and determine if the plant is thirsty. I guess I can talk about the babies now. I purchased the seeds off TNSB. Canuks seeds had a sale 50% off sale so I decided to go with them. To be honest I hadn't put too much thought into the strains I had selected. I decided to go with auto flowers due to the speed of harvest. I purchased three seeds. - Auto Blueberry “first three pictures” - Auto Purple Kush “second three pictures” - Auto Cheese “freebie”. “last two pictures” So all three seeds germinated the first day. I put the autos in some paper towel in-between two plates near the water heater. When I was transferring the Cheese I managed to rip off the root.... The root stuck to the paper towel and I felt bad so I put it in the coco anyways :( I’m sure you can till which one that is…. The setup in the tent is constructed for two plants now! so the auto cheese might just stay in the red solo cup :| -IDAODAN 39x39x78 inch Mylar Hydroponic Indoor Grow Tent. “I love the tent solid build.” -AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T4, Quiet Inline Duct Booster Fan 4” with Thermostat Speed Control “I wouldn’t recommend this fan it doesn't have as much power as I was hoping. Go with a 6” duct and a fan with more CFM.” -VIPARSPECTRA Dimmable Series PAR700 700W LED Grow Light “This light runs pretty warm I don't have much experience with other lights so I can't really compare. I’m planning on replacing the light or adding another light during flowering”. -Levoit Ultrasonic Humidifier. “Something went wrong with my Amazon delivery so I’ve yet to actually receive this item. To adjust for the humidity I placed a ziploc bag over each plant.”

Well a week has past.. Good things have happened. I have finally received my humidifier; however, I am finding it kind of needy. The Viprasprectra 700W light runs pretty warm causing my Cloudline inline fan to kick on to cool the tent to 78 degrees. When the fan kicks on it takes out some of the humidity causing the humidifier to turn on to reach a humidity of 60%. I find at the humidity of 60% the humidifier will last roughly 24 hours. I had to work away from home for three nights so I turned the humidistat to 50% that lasted me 36 hours so the humidifier was shut off well before I arrived home. I transplanted the Auto Kush and Blueberry into 5 Gallon pots 5 days ago. They took the transplant very well looking back I probably could have done it a little more gently and added a root stimulant. Ok so the plants! I do have a question I am hoping someone can help me diagnose my plants. I tried doing a lot of research into the amount of water you’re supposed to pour into your coco, but I am coming up with so many mixed opinions. The leaves right before I transplanted them started to droop. According to come random websites- too lazy to site it states that it could be due to overwatering or underwatering. I have also read that you cannot overwater your coco! I’m not sure if I believe that since I water my plants pretty often. Some website told me to continuously keep the coco wet so it doesn't cause a big PH swing. If this were true then what would cause the droopy leaves. Is it my light? Is it to close? After I transplanted the babies I watered them they shot up four days later were back to these droopy leaves. If anyone has an opinion I’d be super grateful. Anyways till next week. BTW the last photo is my auto watering system it was originally built for my saltwater fish tank but due to my current life choices I’m no longer able to continue that hobby.

What would cause my leaves to droop. I know it could be under-watering or over-watering. I'm growing in Coco. Could it be caused from anything else ? My light possibly ?

Hi @Autofeather! Your light is not responsible for this. Heat + high relative humidity usually lead to these symptoms. If your day temp is 26°C, you may need to decrease it by a few degrees (22-23°C would be perfect). Regarding your waterings, you must apply a wet-dry cycle, even in coco, your medium should never be too wet nor too dry, but it should alternate between those states. I think you slightly overwatered your medium in an already wet environment, as a result your plants are having hard times to breath and sweat. Just hold on your waterings until you feel the top of the container is dry. Unplug your humidifier for a few days until they recover and show healthy leaves. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

Ok week 3. I need to step away this is turning into an obsession. So I set the temp to max out at 76 degrees- the plants seem to enjoy that temp a lot more. At one point you could definitely tell the plants were maxing out on nitrates but after doing some research I found out its normal when using slow release fertilizer. Since I was overwatering my plants I’ve let them relax and start to water every three days in less amounts. I'm going to start LST tomorrow- hopefully. I purchased another LED. Optic LED had a black friday sale so I thought i’d pick up one of those…. Still kinda pricey but I’m hoping it's worth it. I guess the light arrived at my house earlier today but apparently I was sleeping so they took it back. I'll have to pick that light up later tonight. I’m going to add the new Optic LED when my plants start flowering. Till next week.

start at the first set of leaves, works better the earlier the start the better the results. consider using something quite heavy like a metal garden hook to thread it through so it stays put and wont be moved by the plant (yes they are surprisingly strong!). so you want to thread the seedling through a metal garden hook then basically keep the rest of the leaves (that will turn into stems for flowers) down as well ... you're right on time to FIMM or top or flux by the way - hope you do well here because down the line you may be rewarded ! good luck ! 🚀

So I just got back from my 6 day vacation and WOW! You sure notice the difference in growth when you’re not looking at the plants every 20 seconds. My humidity wasn’t kept at 60% for a majority of the time since the humidifier ran out of water. The plants didn't seem to mind the drop in humidity- well from my perspective…..I wasn't home yesterday so these current photos are Week 4 day 2. White pistols have started on both the large plants. I assume the pistols mean they’re starting the flowering phase ? I now changed the red spectrum to 100% and in a couple days I’ll hang the new Optic 2 LED. Before I had left on vacation I had my attempt at low stress training. I was shocked at what is does to your plant. After LST I couldn't even recognize the Blueberry Auto. It looks so much bigger I included some pictures moments after I did some LST. I went back roughly three hours later and it had already adjusted its leaves back up towards the light. I UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE DOES THIS METHOD! The Blueberry AUTO has exploded in size I’m surprised it didn't break the wires holding it back. The Purple Kush was another story altogether the stem was much harder and the leaves were so compact it made it more difficult to alter. I purchased a trellis so I'm going to attempt to create a SCROG in a couple days. I guess it's time to start lowering the humidity. I just did some research on the lighting schedule and I'm thinking about changing it to a 20-4 light cycle. Should I have added this week as flowering since the plants grew pistols?

Facepalm. Well, I definitely know how to stunt the growth and almost kill my cannabis plants. This week for growing has not been the best. The plants have managed to travel from the Death Valley in California to the humid region in the Amazon Basin. I’ve finally managed to get the climate under control. When the pistols popped out last week I decided I’d add the red spectrum to the Viparspectra 700. I knew that the temperature would increase so I watched my Cloudline duct fan bump up to max. Everything was under control the fan kept the temperature at 75. Two days later my carabiners arrived from Amazon so I could finally hang the Optic 2 LED. Once I hung the new light the problems started to happen. The super fancy Cloudline duct fan has an auto function which changes the fan speed to manage the set temperature. I set the humidifier to 50% as the plan was to slowly decrease it as the plants started to bud. OK well, the temperature jumped up to 78 with an RH of 50 % when I added the additional light which I thought was perfect. A few hours went by and humidifier ran out of water when I can back the temp had jumped up to 90. I quickly added more water to the humidifier and decided I needed to remove the carbon filter because it reduces the CFM dramatically. Now that took care of the temperature but when I woke up I had another problem. The auto function on the duct shuts off when temperatures are below the set temp. So the lack of new air caused the humidity to jump up to 75% at night UGGGGHHH. The solution to that problem was to remove the humidifier, in general, my house has an RH of 40 % I’d rather have that then bud rot. Ok, now my watering problems….. Two days ago my plants started to droop and somehow according to my previous problems I automatically assumed I overwatered AGAIN. Yesterday the plants looked dead I thought for sure that they had root rot from drowning or the stress that was caused by the heat or humidity. I NOW KNOW WHAT WILTED PLANTS LOOK LIKE FROM UNDERWATERING! I added some water yesterday and bam they sprouted back to life. I didn’t realize how hard it would be to water the plants. This grow is definitely a learning experience. BTW I added the trellis to create a SCROG. The Blueberry is kinda lengthy and has more Sativa characteristics so I find it easy to manipulate. The Purple Kushs growth is definitely stunted from my mistakes and its Indica traits make it harder to move around since its so compact. Do you think the plant is compact because its getting too much light ? I’ve also set up a GoPro time-lapse, it takes photos every 60 seconds at 4K so by the end of the grow everyone can see my mistakes. :(

This week has been rough too. I feel as if the plant's growth is stunted; however, I'm unable to figure out why. I'm also unable to ask questions as I've used them all for this month. If anyone looks at my post is the Purple Kush just really dark green because its an Indica? I haven't added any nutrients so I don't believe the plant could be over fertilized. The blueberry is light green and some of the bottom leaves have turned yellow and fell off. I ended up topping up the Gaia green all purpose and flowering bloom for the blueberry so hopefully, it changes color and starts growing as it used too,

The Purple Kush is an super easy strain to grow. I've been having troubles growing the Blueberry. Overall I can say one thing as a beginner do not use those plastic air pots. The fabric pots are way better! The way the air pots are designed kinda confuses me they have a one inch edge on the bottom that keeps the roots off the ground; however what i found happened was the water would pool up underneath the bottom of them causing the roots to continue to grow and sit in stale water. I had to put cups under the pots just to raise them so the bottom of the air pot wouldn't create a seal on the drip tray. Due to the stale water I'm not sure if I had root rot on the blueberry I had been adding voodoo juice to help keep the plant healthy. I ended up transplanting the ol auto cheese into a fabric pot and wow its WAY BETTER. The fabric pot is also way easier to lift and get a feeling whether or not you need to water. I'm not 100 percent sure if the blueberry is turning purple and yellow due to the changing of seasons or if its caused from a lack of nutrients or lack of water. I tend to water every second day because of the whole root rot scare and the importance of wet to dry cycle. This growing thing is way more difficult than I imagined...... Also I purchased the plastic air pot thinking it was 5 gallons I have a hard time believing that so i did some math. The diameter is 11 in and the depth is 10 inch it comes out to 4.1 gallons. I know for sure the roots on the blueberry have definitely out grown the container. I'll have to take a closer look at the trichomes but according to the schedule for the blueberry it should be harvested in a week. I apologize for my grammar I've rushed this review as I have to get back to work.

I'm not 100% sure if the leaves are changing color and falling off due to a phosphorous deficiency or if its the organic nutrients telling me its almost time to harvest. The purple kush is looking amazing. The Auto cheese is coming back to life and I might harvest the blueberry in a couple days just to give more room for her.

Are you sure you have a P deficiency? The symptoms of phosphorous deficiency are dark / metallic blue patches on lower leaves. On the other hand potassium (K) deficiency looks like uneven yellowing with rust spots on lower leaves. Is that what you see on the lower leaves? Cause I can't spot that on the pictures; what I see is purpling leaves due senescence or autumn color effect. The former happens when the plant is close to its end, the later is a technique that removes nitrogen from the feed in mid flowering, forcing the plant to use its stores, when done right, it results in yellow / red / purple leaves that looks like plants during autumn. Autos usually takes between 8 to 10 weeks so I believe that what you are seeing is a plant that's close to harvest and so its consuming its reserves.

yes you do have Phosphorous and Potassium deficiencies, but that doesnt mean you should harvest now. You can check the trichomes to see if the plant is ready, using a 40x minimum magnifier , cloudy or white means THC is present, clear means not ready yet and amber means you'll have more of a couch lock effect. otherwise you can check the pistills to see if you're ready, you're looking for something like 70/80% brown pistils. So no you're not ready to harvest, and you should probably add some PK and chelation agent for a week maybe two before a two week flush... sorry for the bad news, but it's the truth ! hope this helps ! 🚀

Its like in autumn the leaves are colouring, The chlorophyll turns away( consumed by the plant) and the regular colour appears a mix of orange and yello, and later its brown and the leaves dies. Your plant comes to the end of his lifecircle and thats how it looks like. kepp the track you ar going, she will be ready soon (10-14 days)
