I started my germination process by using a labeled glass of distilled water. After about 48 hours I had switched them from a glass of water to paper towels as only a couple were showing signs of sprouting. So far the runtz muffin from barneys farm has had a 35% success rate compared to the 100% with the gelato 41 by seed stockers and tropi cherry by BSF seeds. I did notice one of the runtz muffin was trying to take off but for some reason never did. I waited an extra 4 days before pitching the last 2 seeds in hopes one would have germinated.

Most took off like a bat out of hell as soon as I introduced them to the root riots and within 24 hours of placing them in root riots they were ready for their permanent home.

After 2 weeks there has been a lot of progress, although I have to go a week without seeing my babies. I get to utilize my gravity fed automatic drip system for the first time for the 1st two days of being gone.

After being gone for a week I came back to my babies being 5 nodes tall and decided it was time to try 2 different techniques of training which are FIM and Topping really hoping for best results with both as they both seem to work well. I also trimmed up 4 bottom fan leaves on each plant as well.

When would be a good time to trim the bottom portion of my plants, and could I possibly clone the bottom ones so I'm not throwing them away? I have clonex cloning gel and my grow Bible tells me to use honey to dress the wound as well what works best for you guys?

Around week 4 should be good to grab a few clones, but the longer you can wait the better quality clones you will have. You don't have to really worry about sealing the cuts after you trim either. I wait to cut the lower stuff until I start to see it decline in health or it's just so shaded out that it's just more in the way than anything. If you are going to top the plant around week 4-5 would be a good time to top it, nad you may be able to get a nice clne from it

If you’re referring to the plants in your diary on a profile I wouldn’t be defoliating for a while. Leaves are where the plants gets its energy from and that being said I say it’s best to leave them on for a good while. Until the plant gets to the point of for instance, one large fan leaf is blocking the light to 4 other ones, then that’s when I would cut that leaf off to get 4x the light energy if that makes sense. As for wounds I just make a nice clean sharp cut and the plant heals its self well. When it comes to cutting off lower branches it may take a day to recover but it will recover fast. And when it comes to taking clones I just did this to my grow, wait until just before you start flower assuming you have photoperiods, and then I cut off any small branches that will give popcorn or larf buds so the plant will divert its energy to the main tops. And when selecting a food clone it’s better to use one more towards the top that gets a little light a nice healthy one. I just threw away about 30 branches I could have cloned but I kept some that I liked. Also I defoliate just before flower promoting air flow through the plant good for a number of things. And then once more after stretch to keep the energy going to those tops. Hope this helps a bit good luck brother and let them thangs grow

I've noticed heavy growth in the past week. I'm extremely happy with how the gelato 41 is looking at the moment I'm expecting a great yeild from her. Runtz muffin kinda seems to be taking its sweet time and is just already a mini bush. The tropi cherry seems to be thriving as well but not as much as gelato 41. I will probably start flowering around week 8-9 unless they get to the size I want to start flowering.

I've noticed chemical burns on the leaves especially runtz muffin. I think I narrowed it down as I think I was watering them incorrectly, I am now strictly using 1 gallon water canisters. I measured the ph of the soil and it seemed as though they were all about 5.6-5.8 when I was ensuring the ph of the water I was using was 7.0 I got them around 6.8 which I'm happy with at the moment. I will probably start slowly giving them nutrients here soon.

I have observed substantial growth in my babies, unfortunately, I will not be able to complete the intended 9 weeks of vegetation before transitioning to the flowering stage. This is due to an upcoming relocation to a more suitable location that offers ample space for strain cycling and the maintenance of mother plants for cloning purposes. I am eagerly anticipating the flowering phase, particularly for the Gelato 41 strain, which is already emitting a pleasant aroma.

After a week of thinking I decided I had to start flowering 2 weeks before I wanted to due to moving and not wanting to move them while mid flowering. But there's always next grow as I've already got plans for outdoor and indoor. I also made 10 clones off of the clippings I trimmed off a d hoping they take off as well so my buddies can have a piece of the pie too. Happy growing ladies and gents.

Boy oh boy look at these babies grow I'm studying them more and more to ensure they are happy. I've notice that gelato 41 is producing bud spots like thats what it was ment for. Tropi cherry is coming along but not as fast as G41, and runtz muffin im a little disappointed in but i believe that is my fault for im still new and have only grown 1 plant prior to these 3. It also doesnt help i had to cut the vegitation cycle by 2 weeks as well. and further more I was at least able to give 2 clones away, the rest were still good but couldn't find them homes so i had to throw them away. Next time I'll have all the room they need and can't wait to make mother plants of my favorites.

Well besides totally forgetting that my light has a veg and bloom switch for thr first few days they're doing great the gelato 41 smells fruity already and is just a tall plant in general, runtz muffins slightly smells like coffee, tropi cherry has very little smell for now. I can't wait to see what the flowers look like only 6-8 more weeks

Well I broke my phone during the last 2-3 months and finally after being busy moving trimming and hanging my babies turned out OK. The Gelato looked like butt because it didn't get to finish all the way. Runtz muffins and tropical cherry turned out really well for my first time after a 6 year hiatus. I am now growing 9 and will be creating a new diary soon. There was also 3 more jars of Gelato but since I've harvested it has gotten to 1 jar haha.
