First try to germinate the strain was directly in substrate, never had luck with that and oh wonder all seeds just died because the germination green house got caught in a thunderstorm and the rain drowned everything.
This is the second try and this time I am not taking an chances, I am back the the good old paper towels, works like a charm.
The vermiculite in the mix is not mixed in, it is the lowest layer, because the pot I will be using has a water reservoir and vermiculite does not degrade while wicking up all the precious moisture and nutrients.
The "other" ingredient is plain seramis, a trademarked generic clay based potting media.
It is quite expensive, but it's peat free, non flammable and I have had it laying around.
Update (31.05.):
Moved the germinaton Greenhouse to a shaded side of our roof deck as she is desperatly stretching for light and the kitchen window wasn't cutting it anymore, let's hope I'm not making a big mistake here.
Update (01.06.)
The seeding moved, including the cardboard pot and all substrate into its final home. The substrate was fertilized once with BioBizz fish mix and alg a mic, and it got some serious rain afterwards, will feed her as soon as the reservoir drops.
Talking about reservoir, I installed an aquarium bubbler to prevent root rot.
For now, the plant will be protected by a plastic "plant-hat" cover, this will keep the humidity up and the elements out.
@resi_max, Thanks a lot, I am quite hyped as this will be the first time I'll be able to see my plants in the open, like chill on your roof deck and just look at them 😁
Quite surreal this feeling.
Still the fight for real legalization ain't over, just one example, I will be forced to turn most of the harvest into hash, else I will have more than the 50 grams I am allowed to own on my private property.
Until then I will enjoy our new freedom as much as I can 😀
