Grow Log – Week 7 Day 43 – 45: End of Stretching Phase Week 7 kicked off with the plants nearing the end of the stretching phase. The tops were shooting up, reaching for the light, and looking strong. The earlier topping had done wonders, creating multiple tops with lots of potential. The canopy was full and vibrant, showing signs of a promising harvest. Day 46: New Yellow Leaves On day 46, I noticed some new yellow leaves appearing. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was something to keep an eye on. We’ve dealt with this before, and I planned to handle it with our usual care next week. The plants were still looking robust overall, with the tops growing tall and the buds developing nicely. Day 47 – 48: Continued Growth and Planning for Maintenance The plants continued to grow steadily, with the tops reaching higher and the buds becoming more defined. The yellow leaves were monitored closely, but the overall health of the plants remained excellent. I started planning for a final round of defoliation and a light lollipop technique to ensure the plants focused their energy on the top buds. Day 49: Frosty Buds By day 49, the buds were looking frosty and dense. The trichomes were developing beautifully, giving the buds a frosty appearance that promised high potency. The plants were thriving under the climate-controlled environment, and the careful management of light and nutrients was clearly paying off. Overall Progress Week 7 was another week of solid progress. The plants were nearing the end of their stretching phase, and the multiple tops created from earlier topping showed significant potential. The appearance of some new yellow leaves was noted and planned for maintenance next week, alongside a final defoliation and a light lollipop technique to streamline the plants' energy towards the buds. By the end of the week, the buds were looking frosty and promising. I’m excited to see how they develop in the next week as we fine-tune the environment and care to push these Sunset Sherbet plants to their full potential. The anticipation for the upcoming harvest is building, and the results so far are very encouraging.
