Grow Log – Week 11
Day 71 – 72: Final Countdown
Week 11 arrived, and the plants were showing all the signs of being ready for harvest. The buds were dense, sticky, and sparkling with trichomes. Many of the top buds had started to develop amber trichomes, while the majority of the trichome heads had turned a milky white. The sight was stunning—a solid wall of shimmering, frosty tips that glistened under the lights. The distinct differences in the phenotypes were also becoming more apparent, each one showcasing unique characteristics in bud structure and color.
Day 73: Harvest Day
On day 73, it was time to bring this grow to a close. After 10 weeks and 3 days, the plants were finally ready. The last watering had been on day 69, giving the plants a few days to dry out and prepare for the chop. The timing was perfect, with the trichomes in their prime—mostly milky with a good mix of amber for that balanced potency and flavor.
The process of cutting down the plants was bittersweet. It was the culmination of weeks of hard work, patience, and careful monitoring. The room was filled with a powerful aroma as the branches were trimmed and prepared for drying. The buds looked incredible, heavy with resin and coated in a thick layer of trichomes.
Overall Progress
Week 11 marked the end of an incredible journey. The plants showed their full potential, with top buds displaying the perfect balance of milky and amber trichomes. The difference in phenotypes added an interesting variety to the final harvest, each plant contributing its own unique flavor and effect profile.
The plants were cut on day 73, bringing the total grow time to 10 weeks and 3 days. They received their final watering on day 69, allowing them to dry out and concentrate their flavors and potency before harvest. The buds are now drying, and the anticipation for the final cure is high.
This Sunset Sherbet grow has been a remarkable experience, and I’m excited to see how these buds turn out once they’re fully cured. The hard work has paid off, and I’m confident that the end product will be something special.
aSeems like you filled your canopy nice with the amount of plants you have. i wouldn't worry to much about topping. i mainly do because Iim doing big plants to keep my plant count down, but if you can fill a tent with smaller plants.thatis the better/quicker way. i honestly would not even top plants if you say got a bunch of nice clones and packed them close enough
