Flushed these two a couple days ago. Ran 10-12 gallons of plain pH’d tap water through them. While lifting Blackberry Auto 1 to help it drain, I was a dumbass and smashed the main cola against the ceiling. My ceiling height is only 72”. The main cola bent in half and then the main stalk bent in half.
Thankfully they didn’t fully snap in two. I staked her with a bamboo rod and applied a splint to the base of the main cola using a q tip with the ends cut off. Some other branches were weakened and laying all out. I applied some string to them to help it support itself.
After going through this I noticed that Blackberry Auto 2 was laying all out due to the weight of her buds on the side branches. So I spent the next hour Jerry rigging more support throughout herself with more string.
Good news is that they are both flushed thoroughly and the main cola and its supporting stem are still carrying water up to the buds as I haven’t noticed them dying off or drying out. I am very thankful and hope for continued success. Harvest doesn’t seem to far away and they are really thickening up.
This seems like it’s going to be the fastest of the seed to harvest cycles this strain has performed for me. I’ve grown this strain three times in the past.
@Fast_Buds, love your strains. This is my fourth blackberry auto grow. I’ve enjoyed every strain I’ve acquired from your company. Fast seed to harvest, quite potent, and very consistent.
@Growyourhi, 20 hours seems to work just fine for me. I don’t mind them having a four hour break everyday. They seem to enjoy the downtime and it gives my tent time to cool down a little from the heat produced by the lights. The room itself isn’t the coolest this time of year and I don’t want to over stress them with the heat.
