Initially I learned not to fertilize a few days after germination so the plant grows roots faster because they're looking for minerals and stuff. That was with regular plants like tomatoes. On the package of the t.a it says to fertilize right at the start and I think I want to nourish the plants right away. "Tinytenter" a user on this site, said the cocoa will absorb a lot of calcium and or magnesium. So Cal mag is a must instantly after germination. The roots will probably get going quickly anyway in my airy, hydroponic simulating substrate, so it should be good to put some nutrients in right away. Btw that's what we're doing here, simulating hydroponics by using a very light and airy substrate, water will drain fast and roots will grow quickly also. There is zero fertilization beforehand, every single milligram is added manually. Because of the good drainage it's important to water the plants at least once per day, maybe more. We will see.
