Week 1: Both plants seemed to be responding well. Score.
- Light: Currently the light is set at 70cm above the top of both plants. Began the week at 50% power on the led light and 10 DLI via Photone app on a 18/6 schedule.
- Water: Began with 100ml of water every day, near the base of the stem.
- Nutrients: Using a pre-fertilized All-Mix type substrate with autoflowers, so I'm going to refrain from adding any additional nutrients until a couple of weeks before flower. Last grows I was seeing some problems that looked like CalMag and/or pH issues early on. I will begin supplementing nutes to correct both if observed.
Until next week. 👺👺
@Natrona, Hey! sorry for the late response. I hope it's still helpful.
I've used molasses the last couple grows and I would recommend. Make sure you get de-sulfured cane molasses as this is quite important. It may or may not help with your Frosted Guava however. The idea is that the molasses helps the living organisms in your soil to prosper - so if you are growing in water or using non-organic ferts, it's probably not going to help much. But let me know how it goes!
PS, check out diastatic malt powder. ;)
@TherealNICOGREEN, shiiiit. That's incredibly disappointing. I've been pretty lucky up to this point and I think it has to do with controlling the VPD in the tent. It's not perfect - I estimate my leaf temps for instance - but I think it's close enough to keep the mold at bay. I think you'll be happy with the next batch. I'm a month into their Kabul (also from the contest) and it's quite nice. They seem to have some good genetics. Good luck!
