Autumn indoor session
Summer and outdoor session are ending together. Even if the harvest of 4 pretty plants could build up a winter stock: there is no time to loose to grow indoor to harvest after 16 or 18 weeks.
I’ve time and I selected 6 hybrid strains with a similar flowering cycle.
Royal Gorilla -RQS- 50% Sativa/indica - Flo 8/9 weeks
Sour Glue - Medical seeds
Green Crack Punch -RQS- 60% Indica - Flo 8/9 weeks
Ak 47 - Serious Seeds- hybrid - Flo 8/9 weeks
bubble Gum - Serious Seeds- hybrid - 8/9 weeks
Germination technique= paper towel + water ph 6.4 in a opened resins box on a heat mat - no light
—24h (serious seeds) to 96h (Gorilla) to snap. Waiting 5mm of root to put the seed in a biodegradable pot with “light mix” + mycorrhiza. Humidity 75/80%, heat mat. Light Mars Hydro Ts 1000: 25% power.
— 5 days after starting germination: all plants are born.
Week 1
Crucial week: plantlet are vulnerable. Vertical stretching; I add some soil on the base of the plants.
No ventilation just air humidifier and heat mat. Light ts 1000 - 25% - 15h
No really watering, just water spraying
Week 3
Grow Kick: good start for everyone.
General Topping except for Gorilla - 3 nodes
Started Cal/Mag
Changing light: Niello 300 blue spectrum- 17h
Preparing enriched soil before changing pot in 2 weeks cf photo
Week 4
All plants are healthy, solid, growing vigorously. AK 47 and Bubble Gum are the biggest plants.
Good cicatrisation for the toppings, side branches are growing.
Niello 300 blue spectrum - 17h30/day
Stimulate rooting system with nutrients.
Week 5
Time to move the plant to another bigger grow space and to change pots.
Plants are pretty healthy, growing good after topping. The most beautiful and vigorous plants are the 2 from Serious Seeds: AK47 and Bubble Gum.
Pot 3L10L with an enriched soil ( blood meal, horn, diatomaceous, mycorrhiza, …)
Grow-tent 60x90x180cm
Light Mars Hydro Ts1000 x2: 75%
Watering 1L/ 2. Days.
-water + rhizoponic + calmag
Week 6
First week in the grow-tent, good conditions 23°C-58 to 65 % humidity.
Light — Mars Hydro Ts 1000 x 2 - power 75% - 17h30/24h
All plants are healthy, growing good.
The Serious seeds strains: AK 47 et Bubble Gum are the most developed, with good ramifications. I did a second topping and start the training.
First Topping on Royal Gorilla. Beautiful plant with large green leaves.
LST for Sour Glue (+ 2nd topping) , CaliFunk, Green Punch.
I stressed the plants in a short time: transplantation, topping, training and defoliation but all is looking good.
2 Watering each weeks with Nutrients for rooting and enzymes .
Week 8
Conditions: 25°C - 60% humidity
Light Ts 1000 x 2 - 80% -18h/24
6 différent strains give different plants. 2 groups:
— AK 47 / Bubble Gum / CaliFunk (Serious Seeds + THSeeds): good development with training and topping. Pretty Canopy with lots of ramifications.
— Sour Glue / Green Punch /Royal Gorilla (Medical seeds + RQS): plants look less healthy, less vigorous and developed.
2 reasons of Stress for plants: some Aphids are in the culture. May be I imported this pest with my outdoor session…Shit. I treated with Soap and Neem Oil, putting sticky traps.
A few leaves and young shoots are burn . Don’t think about light burn: I didn’t exposed plants to the light after spraying treatments. I reduced light to protect plants but light deficiency cause damages too.
I feed the plants for the first time with growth nutrients: may be it caused a nitrogen excess. The soil is very rich and doesn’t need more nutrients. I flushed with clean water and let the plants recovering one more week on vegetative cycle.
The Green Punch is the most injured, the others 5 are relatively safe.
Did a 2nd topping on AK47, Bubble Gum, Sour Diesel week 7
Week 10
Not so bad. I switched the light to flowering mode: 12h/24 end of week 9, just after the plants recovered from the stress period caused probably by a nutrient excess: lot of burned leaves.
Green Punch was seriously injured, already weakened by Aphids.
Treatment: sprayed Fertiliigène (Rapesseed oil) to eradicate this pest. Did it when lights off— 12h in darkness is better.
Defoliation, cutting some low branches.
Want to be sure that the grow tent and the room will be clean to start the seeding of the next session in 10 days.
Light Ts 1000 x 2 — 85%
Watering: 2 weeks without nutrients except Cal/Mag and Enzymes yesterday.
AK47 and Bubble Gum are the most developed and healthy 👌with a regular canopy
Sour Glue is stretching since few days, developing lot of blooming sites 👍
Royal Gorilla look still stressed 🤞
CaliFunk is still short, solid and bushy, look vigorous 🤔
Green Punch, always the last: injured and attacked by pest, recovering slowly but surely 👎
Week 11
🗓️November 15: It’s freezing outside! 3°C in the morning, 15°C in the garage (grow tent). For the moment, I have around 20°C in the growing room when lights are on.
Week 12
Correct flowering. The light set-up (TS 1000 x 2) seems working well for this size of tent.
The plants weren’t totally healthy when they started the flowering, just recovering from a stress period. Considering that: it’s not so bad for the moment.
Some yellow leaves on the base and low branches. I gave more Cal/Mag during watering.
The problem of burning leaves is resolved: may be the enriched soil gave enough nutrients and add more nutrients to boost growth was a mistake. Difficult to be certain about the cause of the stress period.
Flo since 3 weeks :
Sour Diesel and AK47 look more Sativa than the others: vertical stretch + long intermodal distance. Little flowers and pistils for now.
Gorilla is not well developed but flowers are growing : producing amazing long pistils.
Bubble Gum is a pretty plant, bushy with a regular canopy for a good flowering.
Green Punch was the most shocked and hard to save so the flowering is on the way for this surviving plant.
CaliFunk is definitely short and solid, with not so much ramifications. Pretty flowers growing.o one of the most advanced plant in the flowering process.
Watering each 2 days
= CalMag + Master Grower(Flo)
= CalMag + PK 13/14
= CalMag + Nettle manure’s
Sprayed week 11 a specific insecticide (ok for organic cultivation) against aphids ( Colza oil) and week 12 the nettle manure’s repulse aphids and nitrogen boost.
Week 13 - Flowering Week 4
The cycle look well advanced. All plants are producing quantities of pistils like the Royal Gorilla or Bubble Gum.
Some aphids are still around but infestation seems under control. I sprayed Neem oil to repulse insects and defoliated.
I added more nutrients in the soil (Palm Tree Ashes) and in Water: pk 13/14, flowering stimulator.
Watering each 2 or 3 days 80cl/plant
-Cal/Mag + Pk 13/14 + flowering nutrients
-Cal/Mag + Bud XL + flowering nutrients
-Cal/Mag + Over Drive + flowering nutrients
Plants report:
-CaliFunk the most advanced: flowers are frosty, resinous and getting thicker. But this plant is very short and only the 4 main buds are correct.
-Royal Gorilla stopped to produce long pistil and started the final stage.
-Ak 47 is flowering slowly, buds are long but not thick for the moment: elegant Sativa
-Bubble Gum look great, dynamic and homogeneous flowering: well engaged
-Green Punch after damaged is producing some flower + one bud….
-Sour Diesel is a pretty good surprise: interesting flowering: slow but progressive (Sativa dominant).
The smell in the grow-tent is a strange and strong Mix between this 6 different strains.
Week 15 - Flowering week 7 (November 1 - December 19)
Harvest approach, may be 2 weeks more; depending to the strain.
-CaiFunk will be ready soon, flowers are compact, covered with resin. .
-Green Punch, despite of the damages, this strain seems to have a good flowering potential: resinous and aromatic.
-Royal Gorilla is pretty advanced, pistils are turning brown and buds are meaty but still growing. Strong smell.
-Bubbie Gum healthy, not ready for now, I suspect a sort of stagnation but it’s may the strain.
-Sour Glue need more weeks, correct flowering, subtil aroma.
-AK 47 is attacked by aphids, one more time: the only target of the room. I treated with black soap and hoppe to keep the plant relatively safe till the end.
Signs of potassium deficiency on every plants: leaves are turning yellow and brown.I added PK 13/14 and Overdrive (PK boost).
Light Mars Hydro Ts 1000 x 2 - 100%
Watering: 2L/48h
Nutrients:
Week 14: Calmag + Grower Master Flo + Bud XL
Calmag + Grower Master + PK 13/14
Calmag + Overdrive + Pure Zym
Week 15: Calmag + Pure Zym + PK 13/14
Calmag + Pk 13/14 + Bud XL
Week 17 - flowering week 9
Final stage: 2 groups of plants.
-Ak 47, CaliFunk and Green Punch look quasi ready with thick, dense and mature flowers.
-Bubble Gum, Sour Glue and Gorilla need more days, continuing to produce pistils, getting thicker.
All plants are producing correct buds, even those got serious problems at the end of the vegetative stage. This 6 Hybrid strains are resilient with good potential.
Six very different plants, even if they all are hybrids (approximately 50/50) with a similar flowering time, they have her own particularities.
AK47: serious flowering; beautiful buds, same size, too heavy for the branches; sticky and smelly.
Bubble Gum: vigorous and healthy, satisfying flowering, need more time.
Royal Gorilla: just 2 big main buds (1 topping) thick and meaty, almost ready.
Sour Glue: similar to the AK (Sativa +): long branches with numbers of equals pretty flowers, intense aroma.
Green Punch: despite of the damages, the flowering is very correct, flowers are extremely dense and resinous. Can be harvest in few days.
CaliFunk: this short plant produce some fat and frosty flowers, very smelly.
Last feeding with nutrients week 7: Calmag + PK 13/14 + Pure Zym
End of week 7: just watering
Week 8: flushing.
Week 19 - Flowering week 9
Resinous and thick buds. I suspected some problem of moisture on a little part; classic after a pest infestation so I preferred to cut the plant and save the (small) yield to test this weed !
The plant was ready.
Week19 - Flowering week 9
Royal Gorilla was ready and some roommates started to have moisture problems and insects are still around…
Gorgeous flowers: purple accents, orange pistils and strong spicy aroma.
Week 19 - Flowering week 9
Perfect time for harvest CaliFunk. One of the only plant not really affected by pests : the flowering was good and the final product look great despite of the little yield.
