I forgot to add the first week being germination so as we're sitting, this Johnny Dang is on Day 7, the final day of seedling stage so Day 1 of veg will be tomorrow. They're sitting in the same stuff as my other seedlings. 75% Pro Mix HP soil, and 25% worm castings, 225-250 PPFD. I prefer using the full spectrum LED over the light strips that come with the germination kit, plants just seem to like this a little bit better. The Johnny Dang R1 has been growing pretty easy, good green color to start off thanks to the worm castings. She will also be transplanted to a 10g pot this week.

This Johnny Dang seems to be growing the best out of all my photos as well as the Grandpa Cookies #7 x Lilac Diesel #22 which isn't listed on GD. I transplanted into the 4x8 tent just a few days ago, and she's sitting in Gaia Green's 444, 3 TBSP per gallon of soil ratio...not 3TSP...GD just doesn't give the proper metric on it, and 15-20% worm castings which is what all the seedlings will eventually get transplanted into. I'm giving 15-20 sprays a day...the soil is drying out quicker than in the germ kit so that's why I doubled up on the sprays and she seem to like it. PPFD is around 240-250, give or take.

The Johnny Dang R1 is easy and resilient to grow, at least the beginning stages as long as you don't overwater. I transplanted into Gaia Green 444 All Purpose organic dry amendments at the rate of 3 TBSP per gallon of soil ratio, and 15-20% worm castings by Wiggly Worm. I had a little trouble keeping up the humidity because the flower tent being next to it and the AC on but the TOPPIN brand humidifier has been keeping it neutral, around 50% average which is PERFECT for me. I like the humidity in veg to be around 45% to 60%, but 50% is the spot to hit. Right now I'm giving about 50 sprays every 1.5 to 2 days. They don't need much water yet, but I upped it from 20 sprays. Next week, I'll be going to 1/4 gallon of water and each week increasing the watering ratio by .25 gallons, so 1 liter until they get the full gallon of water as I'm in 10 gallon pots but that's not for a few weeks, gotta keep up the same watering rate as the root growth.

The Johnny Dang has been doing really good from the beginning, seems to be a very easy grow, hard to mess em up. Ethos has always given me good results. I gave her some recharge with Fish Shit, these plants seem to really love em. Water pH’ed to 6.4 and it’s sitting under the Spider Farmer SE7000 which is a 730W light but only at 48% intensity...yes you can customize 0-100 instead of 25/50/75/100 intensity, and this SE7000 is BY FAR the biggest light I’ve used in terms of wattage. She’ll be ready to mainline in a few days, probably getting it done this upcoming week. Sitting at 315-320 PPFD.

This Johnny Dang (Ethos) & Blueberry (Dutch Passion) grow was a bit overshadowed because of the Cheddar Cheeze and post-harvest between growing and filming so here's an in detail update of what's going on and we'll have more video content for you guys as we progress through the grow. We started in the 4x8 tent but I moved these over to the 4x4 where the Cheddar Cheeze was growing and I hooked up the ES300's and just seems like it's a lot easier to manage the environment with the 4x4 due to my location and we had some humidity issues which made the leaves a bit wrinkly but the growth has always been superb so if your leaves look wrinkly, your humidity is too low. It won't be fixed but your new leaves will show that you did your job (making your environment better meaning upping the humidity). The Blueberry being younger is propped up but maintaining 375-400 PPFD which is about how many photons I like hitting my plants where they're all currently at. I've been giving 1/4 cup of earthworm castings every 2 weeks, as opposed to the 1/3 cup I gave during the Cheddar Cheese run. (Running little experiment due to curiosity) Gaia Green 444, still 3TBSP per gallon of soil for the initial mix set up and 1 TBSP per gallon of soil per monthly top dress...same ole, same ole. I'm also running an experiment between the "500W" ViparSpectra KS5000 and 330W...true watts from the ES300 from The Green Sunshine Company. RIP, I know. Don't remind me. I think I'll get a better yield this time around with the ES300 even though it's about 170W less. I wanna prove that your diodes matter MORE than the company's specified wattage, but we'll see. I also took a pic of the rootball and wanna show that THIS is EXACTLY how you want YOUR footballs to look when you transplant. Have a good look at your roots. You want nice, white roots...not anything tan or orange-ish...trash roots if you have that. I've also removed much of the lower growth so the plants could focus up top, it's gonna help direct most if not all the plant's energy to the flowering sites when they're ready and I can't stress enough how important it is to keep paying attention to your lower growth. don't put yourself in a position where you get lazy and you have to cut up too much and over stress your plant. So just keep an eye on them. Always give your plants a solid week of recovery time, that's 7 days, btw. lol. So if you top, don't do anything crazy for a whole week, give em a chance to recover and don't just assume they're good to go after 5 days. Nature takes time.

We're around Day 60 of veg on the bigger Johnny Dang (Ethos) and Blueberry (Dutch Passion) but I'm not flipping to flowering until the two smaller Blueberry (also Dutch Passion) catch up and I did just top them and since we just recently transplanted the bigger blueberry into 10g containers, the first thing I gave em was 1 teaspoon of Recharge (Real Growers) and 1 teaspoon of Fish Sh!t (Fish Head Farms), plants REALLY love it when that's the FIRST thing you give em mixed with water AFTER either a transplant or high stress training maneuver. PPFD has a bigger range because of the different size of plants. The bigger ones are sitting at 500-545 PPFD, a little higher than I would like but I've had a lot of experience with the ES300's sitting at 28 inches so I put them a bit further away. It's always better to keep your lights FURTHER than closer. The smaller Blueberry are sitting around 400-435 PPFD since they're in the first half of veg, and they seem to like the environment they're sitting in. I will be making some tent adjustments, just to make a little more room for the plants. I took out the tower fan and I'll be taking out the floor fan and replacing them with AC Infinity pole-mounted fans. I'm gonna get 2x for the floor to keep aerating the root system, and gonna have two oscillating overhead fans providing air circulation up top and of course the inline fan to keep cycling air to maintain fresh air. These plants got defoliated again just a few days ago so all the growth is right at the tops. I won't be doing anymore bending on the bigger ladies, just gonna let em grow tall the way the Cheddar Cheeze did from the last run. Also, the Blueberry in the back right, the incoming growth looks yellow but it will green up as the stomata from the new leaves keeps developing.

Day 60 of veg on the bigger Johnny Dang and Blueberry but I'm not flipping to flowering until the two smaller Blueberry at least catch up enough to fill a good chunk of the canopy because we still have the final stretch so flipping to flower is gonna be a gametime decision. I did did top em and since we just recently transplanted the bigger blueberry into 10g containers, the first thing I gave em was 1 teaspoon of Recharge and 1 teaspoon of Fish Shit. With Recharge, I use 1 teaspoon per gallon of water ratio every 3 weeks and those of you wondering how we’re getting our CalMag…well the calcium is already in the 444 from the oyster shell or crab meal, I don’t remember which Gaia puts in but it don’t matter…that’s how the plants are getting their calcium intake and the molasses from the Recharge is how they’re getting magnesium. That’s why you’ll rarely see me get a calcium or mag deficiency. I'm probably gonna flip in about a week, just waiting for the smaller blueberries to catch up, and yeah next time we’re gonna grow all these together but we were experimenting with different things. Plants are all looking happy, the two younger blueberries are getting topdressed with 1/4 cup of worm castings tomorrow because that’ll hit the two week mark. The bigger ones are just getting a rotating fish shit and silica watering every 2-3 days, since that’s what they’ve told me they like and every 3 weeks, I’ll add the Recharge to the fish shit watering and I’m pretty much doing this throughout flowering as well.

Day 3 of flower and it took about 2 days for the transitional flip from veg to flower. The difference as far as watering frequencies between the Cheddar Cheeze and these Johnny Dang and Blueberry strains is that these want a gallon of water every other day, and the Cheddar Cheeze wanted water every 3 days but that’s something you gotta pay attention to throughout your grow, and especially after you transition into flowering. You gotta see how many days without water until your plants start to sit a bit lower, then subtract a day, and you got your watering schedule. That’s THEM telling you. Take all the guesswork outta the equation. I’ve been switching between 1 teaspoon of Fish Shit and a shade less than 1/2 teaspoon of silica every other watering and every three weeks, I’ll add 1 teaspoon of Recharge per gallon of water with the Fish Shit. I top dress 1/4 worm castings every two weeks to keep up with the slow release of nutrition and top dress once a month. Right now they’re sitting in Gaia Green’s All Purpose 444 but the next top dress in about 3 weeks, I’m splitting half All Purpose 444 and half Power Bloom 284 and I do this to keep the nitrogen levels up throughout the flower stacking weeks. I also did 3 defoliations on these bigger ladies throughout veg.

Day 7 of flower and I gave the younger blueberries some Recharge and Fish Shit, and I tied down the smaller blueberries one last time and really filled out the tent nicely…they’re not as tall but it’s whatever…still gonna be a nice return. I also gave all the ladies their bi-weekly dose of worm castings, 1/4 cup to be exact and they’re all looking good. I’m pretty much watering these every other day, that’s the schedule it seems like they put me on so that’s what it’s gonna be until the end. I’m still gonna put up the deep red lighting but not until Week 4 of flowering and I’m gonna start throwing on the UV lights and hour a day until we get into the 2nd half of flowering, where we’ll be kicking it up a little more.

Day 17 of flower and temps been in the mid 70’s, humidity has been a little high, kinda like the Cheddar Cheeze run, around 70-75% sometimes but I have really good airflow between the floor fan, overhead monkey fans, and the inline fan pushing air out so I don’t have to worry about mold issues and if anything, the higher humidity’s been preventing light stress since there’s enough water vapor in the stomata to avoid it. It looks like the Johnny Dang in the back is hanging on to the nitrogen a little better than the Blueberry in the back but the blueberries up front seem just as green as the Johnny Dang in the back. Mother nature screwing with us...nothing new. PPFD is around 550-600 but I’ll be upping that in about two weeks when they enter the flower stacking weeks starting Week 4. I’ve still been switching between Fish Shit by Fish Head Farms, 1 teaspoon per gallon of water ratio, and Bulletproof Si which is Cutting Edge Solutions’ version of silica ratiod at a smidge less than half teaspoon per gallon of water.

The back right Blueberry has the biggest flowers but I don't like how she's been yellowing out so quickly. I've given her more nitrogen than I've given any plants, so I'll just have to ride it out. I generally don't like them yellowing until after Week 7 but she's gotten everything the rest of the ladies have gotten, just likes nitrogen way too much. The rest are chugging along great. The smaller blueberries are gonna have a really nice yield as well so if yield is something you're looking for, Original Blueberry by Dutch Passion is where it's at. I gave the plants Recharge this morning and I give it to them every three weeks as long as it lands on a Fish Shit watering and not silica watering. If it falls under a silica watering, I'll just give the Recharge the watering either before or after silica watering, sticking to flower feeding schedule (which is determined in the beginning of flower depending on what they tell me. The PPFD is at 800-950, keeping the humidity in the 60-70% range with good airflow to avoid light burn from the extra water vapor in the stomata. All in all, they're still looking good.
