Going steadily and strong. Had her first feed today so hopefully growth starts to become more rapid from here on in. I busted my mars hydro 400 watt led so switched to a 600 watt cheap led light. Would definitely not use for flowering but will be fine for growth.

This little girl is a bit slow to start but is looking perfectly healthy. Started LST yesterday. I don't think I'll top anymore, as I want a speedy grow. She is on full feed now and hopefully going to have a growth spurt soon.

I think growth is a little slow due to giving full feed a little later than I should have, and maybe LST a week early. She's looking very healthy though so can't complain really.

Slowly as she goes with these summer babies. Wish the heat would subside so these ones could have a chance to boom. I topped this one yesterday. Wasn't planning on it, but needed the plant to focus on the lateral branches. 3 more weeks of veg, then snap.

I still can’t determine whether this is a heat related or Nute burn issue. Is it that temps are too high causing a Nute problem? I’ve done all I can to lower temps.

Hey @alanwaters, I don't think this is caused by nutrient issue - that would almost in all cases cause leaf tips being burned. My vote would go for minor light stress as it looks like edges of leaves are turning up. It is a young plant so she definitely doesn't need a full power of the lights you have - she would be more than fine with 200W LED. Try to check the documentation for the lights you have but I would go a much further than 40cm with the 600W. If you have dimer on the lights, lower the power to ~50%, or if this is not an option I would go as far as 60-80cm depending on factors like reflective material on the walls, overall temps, RH etc. With such a powerful light this close it is like putting a young plant to full sun...as the saying goes, less is sometimes more 😉 But your plant is still looking healthy so if there is any issue, it is just minor one and she should get better very soon. Good luck and happy growing!

Heat problems again but I think I’m out of a hot spot now a d the climate should be getting cooler. I’ve been putting frozen water containers in the grow area to drop the temp a few degrees. 2 more weeks and flip.

I’ve switched to 12-12 now and am using a 400 watt HPS. However due to the summer months still lingering I am going to try and run the light at 250 watt for another week or two. Huge improvement in health and growth and although the temps are slightly higher, the plants are loving the change. I’ve been pulling off the lower leaves and branches so that I only have (hopefully) have 4 main colas to harvest. Expecting to see some pistils within the next few days. I have also installed a 6 inch exhaust fan which is attached to the cooling tube. It doesn’t eliminate all of the heat obviously, but it does a fairly decent job.

Only just now starting to see the first signs of flowering. Decided to hold off on bloom nutes until next week. Major growth this week. I’ve had to do a bit of lst on the two main branches so that it doesn’t outrun the other plants to the light. High hopes for this girl.

Things are looking pretty grim at the moment. I’ve had to remove a bunch of leaves due to drying and dying. I am fairly certain this is the plants way of telling me “it’s too hot in here”. I hope to still get a reasonable harvest but not holding my breathe. I’ve opened up the door of my grow box and put bug screen over the top to protect from predators. This has lowered temps slightly and she’s looking marginally healthier.

Temps were a bit too high this week due to my exhaust fan busting and going unnoticed for 3 days. Back to normal now so things should start to move forward quickly. She looks healthy and has heaps of bud sites on the two main colas. Happy with the outcome so far. Not sure if I mentioned earlier but I have found a supplier of Hypoaspis and treated a slight fungus gnat problem with these bio-predators. They are fast acting and self sufficient.

Still stretching for the sky. I am so happy with this plants recovery. She is covered in bud sights all the way down to the bottom of the stem. The top of the plant is about 15cm from the light, which is a slight concern. However, I have not seen any damage so i will just keep an eye out.

She is filling in as planned. I’m just amazed by how long the 2 main colas are and that the buds line the stem all the way to the bottom of the plant. Excellent phenotype this one.

If I have not done so yet, should I be flushing my grow medium every so often to avoid salt build up? If so,would I add the nutes, in water, directly after the flush

Dude, if you are going to grow on coco, a pH meter and EC/PPM meter are a must; be sure to use them. As for your question, as long as your feed lightly, there will be no salt build up. If you want to go ahead anyway, then yes add nutes after the flush, since coco is an inert media and has no nutrients on its own.

Filling out gradually. I gave her a flush then topped back up with the regular feeding. This didn’t seem to change anything so I’m thinking I probably did not need to flush. Live and learn. Drinking lots and doing fine. I’m thinking another 2 weeks of feed and 1-2 of flush and I’ll harvest.

Holy shit those colas are fat! Struggling to hold their weight even with two braces. There are a few red hairs starting to pop out. I’m hoping now to finish this in 3 weeks. There are no signs of leaves yellowing yet.

Final week. The chunk has truly chunked this last week. Those two main colas feel as heavy as lead. The smell is refreshing and fruity. Really looking forward to seeing the final weight.

Happy Harvest Day!

Okay, so I smoked a joint of some of the smaller almost dry buds last night. Plus I’ve been eating edibles from the trim, so I think I’ve got a fairly good read on the effects. It is a very colourful/happy kinda high. It is also kind of psychedelic like a very mild mushroom trip. I would say it’s a nice smoke to enjoy with a few friends as it can be inspiring. The cheese flavour is at first evident with fruity notes to follow. Dry weight was taken when buds were close to dry at the touch.

I’m blown away by the size of these colas. So happy with this grow. There are plenty of shiny sparkles but I could still do with a few more. This plant is very easy to manage and just gets on with the job of growing big fat smelly buds. @Barney’s Farm are doing a terrific job. After almost getting them dry I’m realising that a lot of the bud is not as dense as I’d hoped. Still a good haul however.00

@blendmedmedman, cheers. Yeah this number did so well in flower. Veg was a bit messed up because of high temps but she pulled it together for me. Must have had a well established root system to boost like it did.

very brave of you using Hypoaspis in the grow room, they wont really go onto the plant though right?
Waters
Waterscommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, no they stay in the top 3-4cm of soil. Why brave? Have u read they aren’t good for the grow room? They’ve been in for a few weeks and I’ve noticed no deficit to the plant.

Waterscommentedweek 136 years ago
@@Athos and yeah dude I’ve got a ph and ppm meter and I use them. Thing is I’ve used advanced nutrients for about a year now and got them dialled in pretty well without needing to use ph or ppm. Ph perfect tech they say and they are pretty spot on.
the end.
