Started out by soaking the seed for 48 hours in water and Bigfoot root stimulator at .25tsp per gallon. I planted into soil. The seed sprouted in 2 days. I used a 2 liter bottle as a humidity dome. Now it’s day 7. Grown under a Mars-Hydro Reflector 96.
I started nutes this week. Getting some twisted growth on some leaves. I may have Fed too early. I gave her only water today. No slowing of vertical growth. She’s putting on an inch a day.
The stretch is on. My over feeding early on doesn’t seem to have slowed her down too much. Pistils are forming. But I’ll be happy with a half ounce, as the smoke on the last one was so good. 😄
She’s been flowering and turning purple. The stretch is over, and she’s topped out at 27 inches. I’ve been feeding very lightly, every third watering. I’ll keep an eye on lower leaves, to see when I need to increase, if at all.
She’s getting fat and smells delicious! So sweet! Like candy! Sweet tarts, in particular. 😄 I imagine she’s got a couple weeks left. I can’t wait to come home from a long day of work, to puff on this strain. Tastes delicious, and the body buzz pulses and waves. Makes you feel like someone pulled the plug on the bathtub, and you’re slowly flowing away with it.
Well, power was out for 6 days. I think she’s okay. Her buds are lighter and airy, very sativa style. I think that saved her from mold and rot. I was going to harvest this week, but it’ll have to wait a little longer. Everyone just kind of stopped growing for the week.
I’ve grown Dark Devil twice now, and both times I have gotten the same results. I think it’s the best smelling strain I’ve come across. Like sweet tarts and a hint of foot. The body high comes in pulsing waves, giving me the feeling of floating underwater. Don’t count on getting anything done after smoking it. The couchlock is potent. The cerebral effect is quite pleasant. It’s relaxing, but leaves the mind alert enough to really enjoy a movie. After smoking Dark Devil, I have a tendency to notice new things in movies or shows I’ve seen dozens of times. I love this strain.
Well, I’m out of Dark Devil Seeds, so I probably won’t be running it again for a while. It’s absolutely a top quality smoke, however. Very easy to grow. The smell and taste are amazing.
@ROM101, I love it when Seedsman runs out of their freebies and substitutes others. I always get something unexpectedly awesome. Got some God Bud regs this time.
@ROM101, I was going to keep it short, but as long as it stays 30 inches or shorter I should be okay. I don’t think that’ll be a problem with the smaller pot. I always have two autos in my veg tent, but it’s a shorter tent. I’ve got White Widow XXL seeds,, but I’m a little scared of it. 😄
@Stinkfox, nice man , Im going to start mine up again soon , I had 2 on the go of some Dark Devil , but I had an emergency trip to do so they didnt live cause instructions werent followed up hey its all good I still got the genetic so Ill be fine for another go at it :D :D

I'm growing my first auto right now and heard before I started and have learned during this grow that they dont need near as many nutes as a 'regular' girl. I added some calcium a few weeks in and have closely watched her to see what she needs and when I did give nutes it was like 1/4 of what I would give a different plant. I have also had problem with Fox Farm nutes and have since switched up. I have some of these beans in the vault and will be watching this one for sure. From the looks of her, maybe add some calcium? Happy hunting.
@JayBoGart, For sure, I’m definitely going lighter on nutes. Most autos are light feeders. Had a couple that weren’t. The last one was a heavier feeder. This one is much fussier, it’ll likely be a small yield, but I don’t mind. The quality of my last one was wonderful, so it should be worth it.
Yeah that happens all the time generally get some random seeds all the time. Got 3 extra northern soul with one of my orders for absolutely no reason other than they could😂😂
