she comes up to my nose, love the size and composure . no sign of stress watsoever . i have treated my other plants the same way and they look a little more beaten. so even though the bulk kush is maybe 1/3 through flower i can already imagine the fattys all over her
i have a huge doubt about deciding when these are ready, i want a 50/50 cloudy/hazel trichs. but what i really want to see is the hairs get swallowed by the calyx's , isnt that the point of max maturity!?
Nope the points of maturity are based on the trichomes and the effect based on the trichomes ratio. The 50/50 white/hazel is the ratio I'm searching for as it is a powerfull couch locking weed that you get from it , it will makes you sleep each time for sure. The older the plant is and the bigger the bud will be so at a certain point the buds will looks like they are swallowing the pistils but this effect appears almost heavy time 80% of your pistils becomes brown 😊
Hi @Jisaac904! Pistils / Hairs are not the best way to tell when your flushing window is open. You should wait until all of your buds have gone fat & rock-solid, check the trichomes with a magnifier/hand-held microscope, and start flushing when the trichomes are turning from clear to milky. Then, watch carefully everyday and wait for all the trichomes to be milky (some may start becoming amber, you're good to go!). I'll be around, keep us up-to-date and good luck with this beauty! 👊
The pistils will darken and retract, but never fully dissapear into the calyxes. When that happens, it usually matches the point of peak thricomes maturity, but not always. So it's a very Isela visual cue, but not always accurate.
buds growing rapidly. top of my soil has begun to show host to a white cottonish mold...and also the highest leaves on the plant are curving down... insights?
i noticed the top cola wasnt growing like the rest of the buds. i raised the light by 8-10inches and the buds in the cola immediately started growing.buds are like rock solid. nothing but water from here on out.
top cola was growing beutifully until i noticed the white fuzz mold growing inside of the buds. had to cut it off. damn shame. was going to be like half oz. besides that the rest of the buds are still swelling slowly but visibly. the plant doesnt smell very much , so i will be waiting almost as long as possible to see if with deep maturation the plant will take on a sweeter smell. nothing but water for over 2 weeks now. still no sign of leaf fading..
