Meisterwulle Hello everyone and welcome to my new journey ;) This time the diary is exclusively in German. For my winter run, I'm daring to try feminized seeds. The seeds from Barneys Farm were highly recommended to me, and since I like to keep up with the times, I decided on a new strain (LCG). I'm very curious about how this will turn out, and I hope you have fun following along :D After about 24 hours, both seeds developed a small root. I then planted them in small pots about 2 cm under the soil. The soil was well moistened beforehand. LCG has already emerged, and it shouldn't take long for BG41 either. The environmental conditions are currently about 22 degrees and 55% RH. The plan is to give them some time to root, then transplant them into two large pots. I will start training (topping and LST) fairly early to get the best possible yield from the two plants. Later, Scrog is also planned to maximize the area. I might also take cuttings, but I don't have any experience with that yet. That's it for the process so far - I wish you all a nice week, and feel free to subscribe and give the post a like to stay updated :)

Meisterwulle Hello dear ones, while the LCG is developing quite well, unfortunately the BG hasn't managed to establish a root foundation :( Two days ago, I started a new approach, 48 hours in a glass of water, and now it's in the pot. I hope I have a bit more luck this time… The environmental conditions are holding quite stable, throughout the day fluctuations of +- 1 degree and +- 5% RH can be observed. So far so good, next week I will repot the LCG, probably into the final pot then :) The BG will take a bit longer now… hopefully it can catch up! Wishing you a nice start to the week and I look forward to staying updated ;)

Meisterwulle This week I unfortunately had bad luck and have been struggling with a severe thrips infestation… I should have used neem oil or nematodes as a preventive measure… well, I’m learning from this, I sprayed the leaves with soapy water and used yellow cards as well as nematodes to get rid of the little pests. Nevertheless, it has strongly affected the plants, the BG has also taken a big hit, which is why I unfortunately had to part with her….

Meisterwulle I’ve brought the diary back to life - it looked like the plants were giving up these past few weeks. I’ve now given up on the BG, unfortunately, there’s nothing more to be done: leaves at the bottom are all dry and yellow, no growth, leaves drooping, etc. The LCG is still holding on strong and there’s visible growth in the buds again. The treatment seems to have worked for now, but I’m also dealing with a phosphorus deficiency xD It’s progressing slowly, but I hope the plant will pull through and give me a somewhat decent yield :D

Meisterwulle Hey guys, It's getting very autumnal in the tent, and there's hardly a trace of thrips anymore. This week, I increased the amount of nutrients, lowered the pH a bit (from 6.3 to 6.0), and put in a bit more effort :P. The plant(s) are now fully in bloom, the leaves are turning a nice purple, and the buds are getting denser. It will still take a while for the plant to finish, but I'm optimistic and think that harvest time will be around early February. Unfortunately, I destroyed the BG; there was nothing left to salvage :( My little fun project is still alive, though, and it's getting water daily (about 100-200 mL). What I can say so far about my photoperiod experience: Plants seem to be less resilient and require more nutrients/love than autoflowers. The switch to 12/12 worked wonderfully! I also discovered when and where to best cut cuttings. I might dare to tackle this topic as well, but I'd have to think about a second tent… feel free to share any tips you have regarding cuttings, etc. :) Now it's time to wait and see how the plant develops. I'll still be adding a bit of Bio Grow for the next two weeks, then just Bloom and Top Max. I'm excited about the development and looking forward to the results.

Meisterwulle Hey everyone, the week went very smoothly, I added a bit of the new Plagron Green Sensation nutrient during the last two watering cycles. Other than that, I did some defoliation and I'm seeing a little steady growth day by day. The buds have gotten a bit thicker and the plant has been tied down a little more in the spots where the flowers were too close together. :) Wishing you all a great week and happy holidays! The next entry will come around New Year's Eve ;)

Meisterwulle Hey folks, not many changes this week - the pistols have taken on a slight brownish color, so we can start checking if the plant is ready for harvest. That's not the case here yet, trichomes are still clear and there are still many white hairs visible. The mini-BG is doing quite well in that small setup, getting regular water, and it looks significantly further along in flowering than the LCG. I think in about two weeks I'll just chop the little one down and hang it to dry :D The yield isn’t really relevant anymore (5g). For the big one, everything is going normally - I'm currently watering every two days with about 2.5 L of water, alternating between nutrient solution and pH-regulated water. I estimate it could be ready in about three weeks (~ end of January). Wishing you all a great start to the new year! :)

Meisterwulle I did the last defoliation before the harvest this week. The plant is looking good so far - I think in two weeks it will be ready for harvest!

Meisterwulle Hey, the last week is here! So far, I'm satisfied and the plant has developed quite well despite the pest infestation. I've already trimmed some smaller shoots and laid them out to dry. I'll give the main colas a bit more time next week. This week, I fertilized one last time and then flushed with pH-regulated water yesterday. I might wait another week, but I also have a new project coming up :) Thanks for following along so far, I'll report on the harvest next week! Best, Wulle

Meisterwulle Harvest Time! My absolute favorite time when growing! After the lady was without water for about a week, she was cut at the bottom of the stem. Then I took a look at the plant to see if any mold had formed. Thank God it was free from that. The plant itself weighed about 320 g. The smaller branches were cut off, and the buds were then wet-trimmed. The flowers show a mix of gray/purple/green. Very nice appearance! The buds (including stems) weigh about 192 g. The wet trim is about 45 g (with a tare of about 5 g deducted here). Of course, I'm curious how much dry weight I'll get and especially how it tastes in the end :D In the coming weeks, there will be a smoke review including dry weight! Thank you for following along and see you next time! Cheers, Wulle

Meisterwulle Just for the completion: Saved a small plant in a 0,5L pot, just for fun. The yield is pretty Bad as expected, nevertheless I got around 5 Grams dry out of it, After drying 1 week and curing 2 weeks I tasted BG. The Taste is pretty Nice and fruity, something Like berries. Got a Long lasting relaxing high, nothing that Special but all in all Nice. Maybe Ill give This strain another Chance in the future!

Look forward to seen how this strain goes. Waiting on the 2 new colab strains + a few others. Barneysfarm grows have been some of the best weed I've grown. Clearly their selection process is done with utter care. Very rare these strains hermie or mutate. Look forward 2 seen how it progresses

@BudSpencer74, oh I forgot about that 😅 haha. Yes, it tastes very fruity, I think I even tasted a cherry note once, and so far the effects are very pleasant for the evening and the colors are amazing :)

Hey buddy, quick question, was the logo of Black Cherry Gushers also visible on one side of your Lemon Cherry Gelato packaging?

Yeah, it's actually on the back. I'm assuming it's advertising since the two strains were released at the same time as the collab with backbackboyz :)
