RQS multi-strain grow

The week has been good. The little ones are doing what they're supposed to...

Today at day 14, 3 of the plants were ready to get topped; Mimosa, Forbidden Fruit, and Tangie. I topped them above node 4, and removed node 1. Tangie is the fastest grower of the tent. Royal Gorilla and Alien OG are a bit behind the others in growth so far. They'll be topped within a few days.

The girls are growing well, some better than others. Tangie grows exceptionally well. Mimosa and Forbidden Fruit are doing well as well. Alien OG and Royal Gorilla are a bit slower. The Gorilla has funky leaves. That´s ok, though, when I´ve previously have had plants with weird looking leaves they have produced some impressive buds.

There has been a lot of training this week. The Royal Gorilla has been growing very short branches, and I haven´t done much training on her. She has really weird leaves, check the photos. Tangie is growing extremely well. She grows her branches quickly, and she spreads them wide. I will let them have about one more week of vegging.

The grow rate has increased drastically. Tangie is getting tall. Gorilla is growing differently. She is special. I gave them 36 hours of darkness to jump start the flowering. Let the buds form...

They have now had their first week of flowering. I started it off by giving them 32 hours of darkness. The stretch has started. Tangie is growing heaps and she is causing problems in the tent. I defoliate a bit every second day.

Today we´re at day 14 of flowering. Some flowers more than others.... Tangie is stretching like crazy. She measures in at a whopping 90 cm. She is growing massive! Here they all are: Tangie: 90 cm Mimosa: 50 cm Alien OG: 45 cm Royal Gorilla: 45 cm Forbidden Fruit 40 cm Royal Gorilla still is different to the others - a totally different growth. I think her buds will be special... The other 3 are growing more like normal strains. They are all doing very well. We start getting a lovely smell in the tent.

They are all still stretching. Tangie is getting big. We're at day 21 of flowering. Tangie: 100 cm Mimosa: 65 cm Royal Gorilla: 62 cm Forbidden Fruit: 54 cm Sadly Alien OG is missing from the list. I had to remove it from the tent. It appeared that she wasn't really a she, it was a ladyboy. It hermied badly with balls all over the plant. I removed what I could and will give the plants to a friend who will take care of it. I've prepared her to the fact there will be seeds... I have defoliated a lot. Gladly I am not throwing the leaves out anymore. My friend has asked for them to make smoothies 😋

Day 28 off flowering and the girls are doing really well. They're starting to get frosty and the smell in the tent is strong and delicious. Tangie has stopped stretching and the others have grown a little bit - perfect! Heights: Tangie: 100 cm Mimosa: 74 cm Royal Gorilla: 75 cm Forbidden Fruit: 58 cm

The girls are super happy. I´ve been feeding them carefully not to burn them. The leaves look very healthy. I am still defoliating every other day. Green growth will slow down and shortly the plants will not need any further defoliation. The buds are starting to look juicy. They´re filling up with trichomes and the smell in the tent is powerful and delicious.

We´re at day 42 of flowering. The ladies are thriving. Already the buds are quite thick and frosty. I think we will see some fat buds at the end of flowering. Mimosa is starting to show some red colors - beautiful! Alien OG that hermied has been locked out on my balcony for a few weeks. Today it is going to my friend who will bring it to harvest. It´ll be packed with seeds, but should be good for making oil....

We´re now at day 50 of flowering. Tangie´s buds are starting to look ready already, but they´ll for sure get some more time. The others are developing beautiful buds. Mimosa is getting more and more red buds. Royal Gorilla looks like she´ll get very potent.

We´re at day 57 - 8 weeks. The girls are starting to look ready. They´re fattening up well and we see more and more trichomes. Royal Gorilla is getting seriously frosty. Mimosa is turning more and more purple.

We´re at day 63 - 9 weeks! Harvest time! The girls are looking great. The smell in the tent is now extremely strong. When I take the ladies out for a photo shoot, the whole house will wreak of deliciousness. I will start harvesting this week. The first one to go will be Tangie, then Forbidden Fruit and Royal Gorilla. Mimosa might need another week...

This was the first of the 8 plants in the tent to go down. She has grown very well and has produced a good amount of buds. Her smell is absolutely delicious.

Forbidden Fruit went down on day 65 just as Tangie did. Her buds are sticky and they smell very fruity and good. Looking forward to try her.... She will be left hanging to dry for about 3 weeks.

After 67 days of flowering, Royal Gorilla went down. She is packed with trichomes and looks white. She has a nice smell and she is sticky to touch. It will be left hanging to dry for about 3 weeks.

I had her hanging in my bedroom for a couple of nights and my bedroom has never smelled so good before 😅 Her buds became heavy in the end and some branches didn´t really stay erect - good!! She will be left hanging to dry for about 3 weeks...

So, Alien OG hermied early and the little lady-boy was removed from the tent. I gave it to a friend who has grown it until harvest. She will use it to make infused oil. It grew loads of balls all the way until harvest, but she also grew a little bit of flowers. I don´t know what caused it to hermie, but 8 other strains in the tent that were treated the exact same way did not hermie, so I guess it is a bit sensitive to something....
